This place is my favourite place for lunch, 2 sides rice is already very fulfilling. Try their mock meats, super delicious!
Read moreBeware of the greasiness though... choose 1 stir fry and 1 soupy/curry side to balance it out. Portion is humongous, bring lunchbox to bring back half for takeaway dinner. (That 12$ goes a looooong way).

I revisited Blooming Good food yesterday with a fellow vegan, we both enjoyed the fare on offer. I had noodles with tempeh and aubergines. Lovely, my friend had fried rice and lemon grass and fresh brocolli and pumpkin. Both dishes $12.00 each. Got the Happy Cow sticker. Please vegans support these vegan places.
Revisited this great eatery at its newest address. Just moved up King Street towards Erko.
We had a plate of noodles with fried tempeh and veggies, stir fried veggies and tofu and curry sauce. The other plate had stir fried rice and lemon grass and rice. Both dishes were delicious.
Got HC sticker.

The buffet style is very cheep. You choose between different styles of meat alternatives and sides. Although it is very greasy and doesn’t have too much taste.

I haven't been there in a while because I no longer live in Sydney, but I love this restaurant. Not only is the food cheap and delicious, but it has such a good vibe. My favourite dishes are the mock duck, the crispy soy, the eggplant and the spring rolls.

Food is a 7/10, price is reasonable. Some doubts about food hygiene but otherwise a fairly good choice. If it was a bit cheaper I’d likely eat here quite often.

Every time I go to Newtown, I literally can't go past eating here for lunch. There is always a wide variety of options, which never leave me unhappy with my decision. My favourites are the vegan duck and eggplant and tomato dish. Only $10 too!

Ordered the duck curry at this place and whilst the meal was OK, I felt it to be somewhat lacking. It may have something to do with their motto of not adding onions or garlic to any of their food. I also tried to mock sugarcane prawn, which was almost cold when i received it.

Read moreThis is one of my favourite places to eat in Newtown coz I know what I'll be getting. I want to feel relaxed, not like I'm going out for a fancy dinner, but even then I'd still consider going here!
Friendly staff and happy vibes, totally recommend it.
