Some of Sydney's best pizzas found here - Edit

Gigi's pizzas are to die for. If you haven't tried them yet, you have not lived. A personal favourite is the potato and truffle, but there are may other yummy options to choose from. Some pizzas use vegan versions of blue cheese, mozzarella or ricotta, but many don't, and are still delicious. Gigi's offers organic wines, and some pretty irresistable desserts - the tiramisu is a favourite. No bookings, so if you want to avoid the queue, and the noise, be there by 6pm, especialy on weekends. Monday to Wednesday best for noise and queue phobes.

Pros: Fabulous pizza, Good service, Yummy desserts

Cons: Can get noisy, especially on weekends, No bookings

Lives up to the hype - Edit

We were first in line on a Friday night having got there around 15 minutes early. It’s not a place I would eat at if you need to be anywhere in a rush although we were seated and fed incredibly quickly given how busy it was. I had a calzone which was on the specials board which had dairy free ricotta, fried eggplant, basil and the most delicious tomato sauce topped with grated dairy free cheese. It really was out of this world. You can tell a good pizza from the sauce and this was amazing!
I also had a chocolate cannoli as I’ve never had one before. I have nothing to compare it to but it was delicious and really good value.
Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had!

vegan Italian food done right - Edit

Saw a huge line outside but when in to order takeout and it only took maybe 10 min, ordered the marinara and vanilla canoli, delicious, damn i wish there was an Italian vegan place near me 24/7 lol

Pros: pizza done right, nice place, popular

Cons: line might be long to sit & eat

Worth the wait! - Edit

Definitely worth waiting in line for this delicious pizza! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere. What’s not to like?

We particularly enjoyed the pizza we ordered off of the specials board tonight (oxheart tomato with eggplant and vegan cheese—yum!), as well as the other pizza we got (roasted peppers and chili)—great too!

A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Would definitely go back for a special occasion.

Disappointed - Edit

Food was amazing but service was crap! I did not mind waiting the half an hour before sitting down, but waiting 40 mins for our food, when people who had arrived after us had received there’s, to then noticing that they had forgotten to put the order in to begin and then not even apologising when serving us our food or caring, just really upsetting. One of the waiters in particular was very rude. Was really disheartened, especially since I loved that place.

Amazing pizza, worth the wait - Edit

2 of us went here on a Monday night. Had to wait in a line on the street but not for too long and let me tell you, it was worth every minute. Reading the menu, every pizza sounded more delicious than the next. We ordered two pizzas to share and they were both amazing, can’t wait to go back and try more. I can also attest to the arancini balls, which were the first vegan ones I’ve tried and they are better than most non-vegan ones. It was a busy night so the wait staff took a bit longer than expected but this place is incredible and I’ll definately be going back

Pros: Arancini balls, Pizza options

Cons: line to get a table (though wasn’t too long for us, can’t book ahead

Worth the wait! - Edit

Loved this place! The huge line out the door and down the street is a testament to just how good this place is. The whole place is vegan with an extensive range of pizzas. All with delicious ingredients and fresh herbs. Vegan ricotta and feta, a must try! And dessert ... wow! The cannoli is to die for! First time having cannoli since going vegan, would definitely go back to Gigi's just for that! Definitely worth the wait in line :)

Pros: All vegan Great variation in menu Amazing dessert

Cons: No bookings Always busy

off the chain delicious - Edit

This is one of those places where I want to take non vegans and not inform them its all vegan and then after we eat drop the bombshell. This place will convert even the haters that vegan food can be better than the non vegan option. The food was fantastic. Tables fill up fast and there is a line out the door soon after. So get in quick guys!

Pros: best pizza ever!

Cons: tables fill up fast entrees are little pricey

good food + pressure to tip - Edit

Great calzone. Honestly great. Try it.
What's not so great is that this was the only place in Australia where the waitress used a ton of influence and showed us on the machine how to tip and then proceeded to stand and stare while we declined to tip on a $25 calzone where tax and tip is commonly known to be included. The waitress was targeting tourists and it was awkward. This place isn't worth avoiding over it but it should be know and this should be fixed.

Don't miss this place - Edit

A whole menu of vegan pizzas and desserts! This place was so good I ate there twice. Pizza was thin, crispy and oh so delicious with a huge selection of interesting toppings. Desserts were to die for with one of the best Tirimisu I've ever had (vegan or not!). It's a lively, noisy beautiful space with an extremely friendly owner and great staff.

Pros: Everything is vegan and tasty!

Cons: Get there early or you'll have to queue. No reserv

Loved the desserts, but expensive meal. - Edit

We were excited to finally try Gigi’s! Luckily there were no lines 7pm on a Wednesday night. We ordered the croquette and arancini for entree, 2 pizzas (pumpkin special and radicchio), and for dessert the tiramisu and polenta cake. All were tasty, but not our favourite vegan pizza in Sydney (that goes to Anema E Core, Meadowbank). The dessert was the highlight. Along with drinks, this meal cost us $108.80. Quite expensive for what we got, and although enjoyed, not worth the price in our opinion. We did like that all the ingredients were fresh (no mock meat or overly processed vegan cheese), and that it’s all vegan. Friendly staff. Good place for a special occasion, or to bring non vegans, if you don’t mind the price.

Cool vibes, unreal pizza! - Edit

Awesome venue, very relaxed vibe, good staff, genuine service. Nice wine and cocktail selection.

I had the rice balls to start which were delicious and we shared two pizzas. I forgot the official names but essentially tried a margarita style pizza and one with capers, chilli and capsicum. Nice Italian style base, tasty tomato sauce. They also have a desert menu.

A must if you're in Sydney!

Pros: Good location, Vegan menu , Great selection of food/drinks

So good! I shared a pumpkin, potato, garlic and mushroom pizza and a spinach and ricotta calzone - all vegan and so amazing, tastes so real. I also had a chocolate cannoli for dessert which was brilliant. Probably the best vegan restaurant I've been to.

Perfect - Edit

How good is this gem! 1-6-17
I only popped in for a snack because I was waiting for a friend to arrive at the airport. Sat at the bar alone. The bartender was super friendly and we exchanged conversations. I had - Arancini - Crocchette, both were entrees, both were fantastic! Minimum eptos is $30 unfortunately so I ordered the - Tiramisu, I was extremely full, I have never had Tiramisu but wow this was so delicious. I will be back on the 3-6-17 for dinner. Can't wait to try the pizza.

Pros: Staff, Food, Atmosphere

Cons: Minimum $30 on works

Best vegan pizza in the world !!

The menu is creative and the pizzas taste like you are in italy. Staff is welcoming and smilling.

they don't take reservation so must go early (6/7) or a bit late (around 9/9.30).

Nice with familly or friend, Gigi is always the best place to go for an italian experience.

Best Pizza outside of Italy - Edit

My favourite Pizza restaurant in Sydney! Everything is perfect! From the food, to the staff and the atmosphere. The line around the corner to get a table is a testament to the wonderful food they produce. Must try the crocchette's for started with the Panelle (chickpea chips). My fav pizza is the pumpkin and spinach calzone and the potato pizza!
The tiramisu is the best I have ever eaten!

Pros: 100% vegan, Amazing food, Best Tiramisu

Cons: Parking

A great place for a great meal - Edit

I ate here twice in a week. The food is excellent and the staff are fast and efficient - there's a very fast turnaround from ordering to being served your meal. They don't take bookings so on a Friday night we had to queue for 20 minutes.

Pros: First rate vegan pizza, Fast service, Good vibe

Cons: A little pricey

Can it get any better?? - Edit

Had dinner here last night and absolutely LOVED it. We started with the arancini, then two pizza off the specials and the tiramisu as dessert. Everything was phenomenal. I'm usually not much of a pizza person, but man, I could eat this every day. The tiramisu was also hands down the best I've ever had. Ever.

The place was hopping and the music was kind of loud, so it was pretty noisy inside. We were okay with that since we were too busy to talk anyway stuffing our faces, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

Pros: excellent food

Cons: noisy

Best pizza And tiramisu i've ever had! - Edit

Honestly Gigi's has the best pizza I've ever had, vegan or otherwise. (And I have had a lot of pizza!)

My favourite is the blue 'cheese' and cauliflower pizza. The pumpkin calzone is also very nice! The tiramisu is a must try. It is absolutely delicious!

The queues for this place are a testament to how incredible the food is here. If you want a table straight away, arrive just before opening time! The pizza is very quick to come out of the oven whenever I have eaten here.

Prices can be a bit more expensive if you're use to eating at your local takeaway pizza joint, but I think it is worth it!

Pros: All vegan, Traditional pizza, Vegan tiramisu

Cons: Can be a bit of a wait for a table sometimes
