Favorite sushi in STL - Edit
I’m not a fan of mushrooms so I substitute the tofu for the meat in the burritos and it always blows my mind with how good it is. Their tofu is so good & you can just buy them in as nugs and eat them as is.

True parking can be tough in Midtown, especially without a dedicated parking lot. I was able to find street parking on Laclede and Vandeventer on the other side of the crosswalk. This is pretty much what you can expect in most urban areas. However, the food is always worth it.

I suggest you give them another shot! The food is good and as Wanderlust mentioned, that is very normal for that area. That is not a fair reason to give them just 1 star.

The options are somewhat limited at BLK MKT, but to be fair, their menu is small anyway. They offer giant sushi burritos. The holy shiitake is vegan by default, and it contains marinated shiitakes, kale/slaw salad, pickled veggies, asparagus, and (vegan) unagi sauce. Avocado is added for no charge. All of the veggies, sauces, and dressings are super flavorful. No extra soy sauce needed. This is a fast casual type place, the rolls are made to order at the counter. The burrito roll is large and filling.
Read moreThere are a few tables, but the place is best suited for grab and go, especially at lunch time when the line takes up most of the free space in the tiny restaurant.
I have not tried them, but they also have tofu nuggets as a side.
