Amazing Dining Experience - Edit
My family ate here and the experience was amazing. When they say it is dark, they are not lying. The food is amazing. As we ate, we were guessing what we were eating. We were surprised by most of the items. Great place!

Warning. When they say you cannot see, YOU CANNOT SEE. Even after an hour, i couldnt see my hand an inch away. The food was amazing. I was full by the third course, but enjoyed all 7

Everything is vegan and the place has plants and paintings everywhere - a very nice atmosphere! I went with 4 others and we got 2 appetizers, 5 entres, and 5 desserts & the bill was around $130. Not bad for a completely vegan restaurant with amazing (like seriously delicious food). I would recommend Mac and cheese pizza or spicy chicken sandwich. Or anything. Definitely a great dinner :)

Awesome! Such a great experience with amazing food - Edit
The food itself is awesome, true fine dining quality, but the real reason to visit is the unique experience which is like nothing I have done before and was one of those things that I would recommend anyone adding to your bucket list.
Read moreAs mentioned already, there are 7 courses and you won’t leave hungry so while it is pricey, you get your money’s worth out of the food and the experience.

The experience is all Vegas, baby - Edit
Of course Vegas would have a restaurant like this! I took a group of vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters and everyone enjoyed it. The service was great and the portions were huge, perhaps too big for a 7 course meal. Forget the vegan aspect of it, eating in the dark was great fun. Take my advice and don’t wear clothes that could get ruined if you accidentally spill something.

amazing experience (tasty food) - Edit
I even got my heavy meat eating family to enjoy it. My dad was very reluctant to eat in the dark but now he’s thanking me for the experience. The waiters were awesome and very friendly. Would highly recommend for people visiting Vegas.

Worth a shot - Edit
This was an experience I am glad that I had, however both my friend and I felt like we were wasting food. The portion sizes are pretty hefty for a 7 course menu and by the 4th we were stuffed and no longer able to really continue enjoying our meal. It is an exciting option and the fact that it’s all plant based is amazing. I did enjoy most of the food (even not knowing what it was) and think the experience is worth trying at least once.

Worth it! - Edit
We were hesitant to do this because there are no so many amazing vegan options in Vegas. We were inclined to save money and skip it, but I’m so glad we didn’t. We had a blast and will do it again. The whole experience was so cool and the food was top notch.

So good! - Edit
I came here with my nonvegan boyfriend and he loved it. We had so much fun exploring the food they put in front of us that we couldn’t see. Everything we tried was delicious. At the end of the day, it was expensive but we both felt that it was worth the unique and fun experience in the dark

Good Concept/ - Edit
The employees were very nice and helpful. At the end of the experience I was hoping they had a photo/mockup presentation of each dish, I would have liked to see what I just ate. $80 also seems high, but its Vegas right. Good luck in 2019.

The most memorable meal ever. - Edit
I would definitely go here again. The menu changes at least every 6 months and it’s seasonal. I love that you don’t know ahead what you’re going to eat and have to find out by taste/texture/smell alone. No lights at all, and your eyes never adjusted to even see anything. Great overall experience.

Amazing must do! - Edit
What an experience!! Don’t be shied away by price as it is definitely worth the cost and you will not leave unsatisfied or not full. Dining in the complete dark was really fun and the mystery menu made it even better to try and guess all the food and see how wrong or right you were. To top it off the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter is very helpful with describing where all the food was on the plate. A must do if in Vegas!!

Amazing!! - Edit
This place is awesome! Everyone should try this place at least once in their life. It is definitely an unusual experience but a great one. Also the food is great. It was all delicious and filling. When they say six courses, they’re not small so you definitely get your money’s worth. We left full and satisfied and awed. We highly recommend!

Amazing Experience - Edit
My husband and I took our two younger children (7,8) for lunch today. The food was absolutely delicious and it was so much fun for all of us. Nicki was our host and she was wonderful! It is very expensive, and we wouldn’t typically spend $250 plus tip on a lunch, but this is much more than just a meal, it is an experience.

What a great experience! It’s crazy how much your other senses come into play when you can’t see. The servers were super lovely and accomodating for my nut allergy. I loved the experience and would highly recommend even for the price.

Fun - Edit
This was a cool concept and a fun experience. They never tell you that it’s fully vegan even at the end. The only thing is, especially for the price, the food was only fair in my opinion. If the food was incredible, it would be a great experience to “trick” non vegans.

Too Cool - Edit
This place was pretty awesome, and the staff was great, my mom and I got two cocktails on the house, and we were just laughing the whole time at how ridiculous we must have looked and how we were eating, we had the best time. If you’re looking for something fun to do GO HERE! My mom and I were also stuffed when finished, we didn’t even finish the last serving. Little expensive though, but well worth it.

The perfect way to ring in NYE - Edit
We decided to spend New Year's Eve over a fancy dinner and skip the drunken parties. I'd needed a reason to go to Dining In The Dark for a minute, and the holiday seemed like the perfect opportunity.
Read moreYou have to understand a few things:
Firstly, this is not an experience for someone who is "precious". If your going to be demanding and high maintenance, go somewhere you can pick your food, ogle the waiter, and try to look alluring over candlelight.
Secondly, the whole point of dining in the dark is so that you fully immerse yourself in the experience of dining, without distractions. Yes, it's a mystery menu. That's part of the point.
Thirdly, I learned something about myself I would have never notified before. I was eating my entree and it was incredible! I think this was the fifth course. I was so full by that point I stopped eating. Our waiter came by and asked if I was done, and I replied honestly that I wasn't sure... I couldn't see how much food was left on my plate. The moral of the story is, without the visual cue to keep eating just bc the food was there, I stopped eating when I was satiated.
The food was excellent and the experience was eye opening (pun quasi intended). Would definitely recommend for foodies and adventurers alike.

Great food at a very high price - Edit
The food was excellent, and it was certainly an interesting experience. But at $100 per person, I think I’d probably pass if the opportunity comes up again. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask about the price until we were done, and the information was not offered before we went in. I give the food five stars, but one star for value.

Unique experience with delicious food! - Edit
On our trip to Las Vegas, we were thrilled to find out about this place.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and were great about talking you through the experience. Although I don't know if the darkness made the food taste better, my dining mate and I enjoyed quietly guessing what we were eating. The servers had a small light so you could see them when they approached.
Although it was not the cheapest meal ever, it was worth it for 6 courses. And I just wish I could see photos of the food or have a bit more description at the menu reveal at the end.
I just hope they are still around next time we are in vegas!
Pros: Friendly staff, All vegan

Unique restaurant - Edit
Just went there the other night with hubby and tried this for the first time. Once you get used to being in the dark it’s fun to experience all the courses and try to guess what they are. My non vegan husband was impressed with the main course which I thought was seitan steak but menu at the end said was ‘chicken’ Since its all vegan restaurant I really enjoyed the creative dishes without having to ask questions about everything. I was full partway through main course but saved room for dessert. Only a few things I thought were a bit too salty but overall delicious. It is a bit pricey so probably won’t go back soon, but would recommend to people not on a budget. Drinks are extra at $12 each and up and tipping recommended at 20% and up. Since we are from Canada it is 35% more for us too. Our server Victoria was lovely and was an excellent guide. We had the first seating at 5:00 so was quiet most of our meal, then a big group came in near the end which was entertaining but quite noisy. You also have to sign a waiver before going in to the dining room just in case you hurt yourself somehow which is awkward on a small laptop with no proper mouse or touchscreen. Maybe upgrade those to iPads or put proper mouse faster to navigate the form. The staff is great overall very helpful and friendly and most of them are Vegan. Would be perfect if a little more reasonably priced but was busy even at those prices. Even saw a family with older kids come in when we left. I hope they succeed mostly because they are all vegan and gourmet food.

Amazing Food, incredible staff, beautiful experience, a whole new way to experience food - Edit
Wow, simply an incredible way to enjoy food with an astoundingly attentive staff who make sure that you are comfortable and taking care of literally every step of the way. Food is absolutely beautifully created each dish was better than the last, the conversations that we had with our server were some of the best that I've had with anybody in a very long time. Some seriously amazing characters who obviously love their job.

Delicious and unique - Edit
I found out about Blackout when googling for vegetarian restaurants in Las Vegas. I love to eat healthy, interesting food and I also love to try out new experiences so this place definitely fit those criteria!
Read moreThe restaurant is located in a non-descript strip mall 5 minutes away from the main drag. The servers and check-in people were all friendly and made you feel comfortable if you were a little unsure of what to expect.
As a result of this evening, I definitely learned that my taste buds are not as refined as I thought as I mis-identified much of it. Food is usually such a visual experience but in this case, it was all about the feel and taste. Some food I ate with my fingers but silverware still came in handy.
Anyhow I won't tell you what we ate because that would take away the fun but it was a wide variety of flavors and textures. But I can tell you that I was absolutely stuffed to the gills by the end. Please note -- they don't serve hot drinks for obvious reasons.
Highly recommend !
Yes, this is pricey for vegan food but it's worth the splurge!
Pros: Excellent food, Great staff and servers, Interesting sensory experience
Cons: High price, Located in an ugly strip mall
