Comfortable hotel with delicious food. - Edit
Sadly we only stayed for one night as the hotel and food deserved longer. While waiting to check in I heard a lady who wasn't vegan telling her vegan friend how good the food was as we discovered later that evening. Every mouthful was delicious and its not often we have a dessert each but having tasted the chocolate pot previously we decided it was too good to share so had one each. The breakfast was excellent too with plenty of choices. The portions were generous and served at a good pace neither being rushed nor having to wait too long. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bed that gave us a good night's sleep which is what you want. The only down side, if it is a down side, is the room was very warm when we arrived and it may be better to have the temperature set lower because it's easier and quicker to warm a rule than cool it.

Lovely weekend but not perfect - Edit
Stayed two nights in the Winter. Check-in was in the dark, lugging suitcases through mud and puddles down the road and over a bridge. On arrival a Canada Goose jacket was hanging up by the door, which I think belonged to staff. Only one staff member out of many is vegan. The owners are vegan but are not present. This set up made it feel more like a money making venture. The room was outside the hotel (in the rain and ice), which made it feel a bit like you weren't actually staying there and happened to be going to a vegan place next door. The bedding did not fit the bed, which led to a bit of discomfort and being cold. There were no hooks for coats or wet walking clothes and the towel hook in the bathroom was broken. The shower pressure and heat was not the best. The shower gel and hand-wash were full of terrible additives, and they used chemical diffusers to mask smells. Some attention to detail and upgrading is required. Lighting in the room was dim. We were woken too early by barking dogs. Breakfast was put away early on the first morning so we missed out on some options. The juices and jams were terribly cheap tasting. Some of the restaurant seating was uncomfortable. Afternoon tea sounded bought in and uninspiring so gave that a miss. Gluten free options either had things removed for the same cost, or the bread option was Schar, which is utterly boring. Food was not award worthy, and that is probably the reason a lot of people go there. There was a large mark up on wine, which we saw online for sixteen pound less. No guests were obviously vegan or wanted to socialise, you could easily forget the place was fully plantbased. The internet went down during the stay so that impacted the card machines, phones and tv. If you aren't staying for the walks, there isn't much else in the area and it is sandwiched between farms (brave). Despite these negative points and something not feeling quite right, we would still support again and recommend. Listed what was lacking so that improvements could possibly be made, and guests know what to expect.

Incredible - Edit
We planned a whole holiday around Beck Hall and we are so glad we did! We stayed in a nearby cottage, but went to the restaurant for most of our meals. We sampled breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch and afternoon tea. Everything was incredible and the staff are so lovely and welcoming. There is so much love and attention paid to everything. They even gave us freebies for being such good customers! We were sad our holiday had to end and we will definitely be coming back!

Worth travelling for - Edit
It’s rare to get a fully vegan hotel and restaurant, especially in such a beautiful area. We came just for dinner (didn’t stay at the hotel) and it was great. We had three courses and would recommend them all. The food is traditional pub food, but also not like anything you’d find elsewhere (no falafel wraps in sight!)

Always great - Edit
Stayed twice now. Loved it. Super dog friendly. Sandwiches are dead good, gutted they didn’t have the steak sandwich when we visited last but a coronation tempeh baguette made up for it. Evening meals have always been delicious. Almost too much good stuff to choose from. Breakfast is ace too.

Amazing! You have to try the roast dinner. - Edit
We stayed in a nearby Airbnb and ate here three times; for breakfast, dinner and Sunday lunch. Every meal was amazing. The roast dinner was one of the best vegan ones I've ever had, and the pastries with the breakfast were delicious!

Perfect and food so delicious all vegan - Edit
We have been once before six years ago before it was fully vegan and it was lovely then- we had the vegan fish and chips.
Read moreThis time was our first visit of it being fully plant based and it was even better. We went for my partner’s birthday meal and the food was delicious ~ we had the soup of the day, Korean rice bowl and juicy marbles steak and a sticky toffee pudding plus cocktails. It was all delicious and tasty, you get plenty for the reasonably priced menu too. The staff were super friendly and helpful even arranging parking for us as it was such heavy rain and the barriers were up as the car park is only for overnight guests. Will definitely go back as soon as we can😄

Amazing place - Edit
Amazing hotel in a gorgeous and beautiful area. The only point we didn’t like was the fact that dogs roam free in the restaurant area. As the space is limited between tables, we had our food touched by fury tails. Also, some guests didn’t have hygienic manners and allowed dogs on top of the dining tables, and fed them with rawhide (big leather strips) & knuckle bones on top of the tables (not very appropriate for a vegan place).
Read moreWe love dogs, but we’re also not comfortable (hygiene and allergy speaking) leading that dogs sleep on top of the beds.
Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful location , Quiet area

Loved it. The food was so fresh and tasty...enjoyed every mouthful. Totally vegan menu so good to be able to choose anything on it. Lovely location in the beautiful village of Malham. It was wonderful eating outside by a picturesque beck (even saw a kingfisher!). Great service. Plan to return very soon. Just one small negative...music playing inside was a bit too lively for relaxed dining (that might just be me though!).

A fully plant based menu with varied options and all made with quality ingredients. Plenty of fabulous vegan wines to go with them too and all reasonably priced. My partner and I stayed there for one night and did a light lunch, dinner and breakfast. We'll definitely be back to try more.

Vegan Sunday roast - Edit
Made this a dedicated stop on our cycle trip around Yorkshire Dales. We reserved a table for the Sunday roast which wasn't necessary in hindsight as it was busy but not packed. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. staff were very friendly and considerate of my partner's food intolerances, checking multiple things for us. Love that it's not only plantbased but also sustainable in other aspects of their business. The only point of improvement is the lack of dedicated cycle parking. Staff was very friendly though and they let us park in the garden.

Amazing stay, food and cocktails - Edit
We stayed one night at Beck Hall. The location is brilliant for the Malham circular and very quaint next to a tranquil stream. From check in, they ask what type of milk you want for the room and we were greeted with Booja Booja chocolates. We opted for the Superior room including Dinner and Breakfast which includes a £60 tab to spend on Dinner and drinks. The cocktails were amazing and dessert was the standout. The mains we had (the Kofta and the Thali) were just ok, a bit flavourless. The starter tacos we had were exceptional though!

Wonderful vegan restaurant in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales - Edit
We were delighted to come across this 100% vegan restaurant when walking the Pennine Way. To make things even better, it was pretty much next door to our campsite! So for one night we abandoned our trusty camping stove and settled in for some top notch vegan grub!
Read moreIt really is a lovely place. The decor is stylish and staff attentive. And with a wholly vegan menu, there's plenty to choose from! The summer salad bowls sounded great but we were in need of more calories to sustain us on our hike so we opted for something more substantial. I had the burger, which was homemade and very tasty. It's definitely worth adding the smoked cheese for extra deliciousness! My wife had the short ribs which were made of seitan and were also very good. The cinnamon stick acting as a bone was an amusing touch! The puddings were really good too. The sticky toffee pudding was particularly yummy. Prices aren't bad for a place as nice as this. We spent £60 for two courses each plus a pint & a half of beer.
