Amazing vegan options! - Edit
I usually don’t visit non-veg places, but after finding out they make their own vegan cream cheese, I figured it was worth to visit. And it was. I had a mushroom pesto toast with vegan cream cheese, and their cream cheese is amazing, as is their pesto and were the mushrooms. Most delicious toast.
Read moreWhen I saw on their menu they have a vegan ‘coffee bon bon’ with vegan condensed milk, I was pleasantly surprised. And while at $3 you get quite a small coffee; it’s absolutely delicious and does taste like a bon bon, a perfect combination of coffee and chocolate.
They had plenty of other options, serve many vegan smoothies and have many vegan dishes. They also make their own Cashew milk, which they don’t charge extra for. I would come back to try more for sure!

Best vegan breakfast in town - Edit
We went to the Backyard cafe for breakfast since our hotel couldn’t really offer anything vegan. It was delicious, we had a friendly and good English speaking waitress. The interior is great and a place of peace in this bustling city. We do definitely recommend this place. You can go there all day for bowls, cakes, smoothies, toasts and much more.

Serene and peaceful place - Edit
This place has lots of clearly labelled vegan options. The outdoor seating is very green and cool with lots of ceiling fans. It is very serene and peaceful to sit outside. There is also indoor seating as well. The place makes its own cashew milk. The lentil spaghetti and the tempeh are very tasty. The staff are also very nice.

Great little cafe - Edit
We had two nice meals here in their shaded outdoor patio. It had fans and lovely greenery. There is also an a/c space inside. Menu items were clearly marked vegan and vegetarian. We had the falafel bowl and a smoothie. Both were great! A bit more expensive than other cafes in town. Friendly staff and a nice bathroom. Would give it 5 stars, but it isn’t possible.

Obviously catering to westerners, but food is good. Mushroom and pesto toast had some of the best vegan pesto I’ve ever had! Avo toast was also good, as were smoothies. Expensive for where we are though.

I actually got my food delivered from here first. I had the Black Bean Parsley Chimichurri wrap. It was very flavorful. I came in person just for an Acai bowl. It was cool. The staff was very friendly.

Although they serve meat, the number of vegan choices it pretty extensive, and everything I ate here tasted very good and felt very healthy. It's a nice restaurant too, with a very pleasant outdoor area.
Read moreIt's slightly more expensive than other western restaurants, but not significantly so, although the portions aren't huge. For me it was a good place to come on days I needed to be healthy and to no over-eat, because I perhaps hadn't been so healthy the day before.
Note that tax isn't included in the menu price, which always bugs me.

After reading many great reviews, we decided to try out this cafe. We struggled to finish our bland salads, the wine helped a bit. Afterwards, we went to Vegetarian restaurant on St 302 so that we could feel that we had a satisfied meal on Xmas Eve! We wouldn't visit this cafe again... sorry. We wanted to really like it.
