A few good options.

There is not much going on for vegan options in the area of NJ so I’m happy to have Chubby’s as an option.
Whenever I go I get the avocado toast with a side of black beans. It’s important to specify that you want it vegan to avoid having an egg and feta cheese sprinkled on it. I then pour the black beans over the top and douse liberally with the house hot sauce. It may not look good, but I think it’s delicious.
Some of the regular wait staff will recognize this as the “Bob Harris Special” named after my father in law, even though I started the trend, he popularized it.
I really wish they had more vegan options, I’m just not so sure the regular clientele would support it.
The staff is super nice and the opportunity to spend time with friends and community is great. Chubby’s also does really great charity work for the community.
Edit to add:
There’s a delicious, clearly labeled vegan Banana Breakfast Cookie in the bakery case.

Pros: Great outdoor seating area, Really good oat milk latte

Cons: Can get noisy and crowded inside

Not many options, but a wonderful small town place

Great people who do so much for the community. Unfortunately I’ve never eaten here as the gf/vegan breakfast options aren't great (coffee is good.) Oatmeal can be made with oat milk, and sometimes there is chia pudding in the front cooler. A few menu items say VGO, but make sure to request that it be made vegan. My husband regularly gets the avocado toast with a side of black beans. Note, the GF bread has egg.
Nice outdoor seating options. Very much a local hangout spot.

Pros: Friendly & open to accommodating

Cons: Gets very busy & loud
