Excellent açaí bowls and smoothies - Edit
We went to Anake’s juice bar several times during our time on Kauai. The lava flow smoothie was our favorite! The açaí bowls we tried were unique and flavorful! You will need to omit honey if needed.

Açaí bowls 😀 - Edit
Such good açaí bowl options. We both got the funky monkeys. Only thing is we should have gone with the small. We have big eyes 😂. So yummy and filling. They also have plenty of smoothies. And next to it is a small coffee window and they have a vegan cc on a bagel if you want. A one minute walk to the left of this tiny strip mall is also Eden coffee truck. A must!

Wonderful Açaí Bowls - Edit
I’ve purchased Açaí bowls twice here at Anake’s. The bowls are fantastically delicious, and they accommodate any changes you request.

Be sure to specify vegan! - Edit
We stopped in here for lunch and got smoothie bowls. While this is very vegetarian-friendly, it is not vegan friendly.
Read moreLike many (most) places on the island, vegan options are not marked. My deepest appreciation to the people who have made the minimal effort to do so.
My husband is not vegan, and got a standard (vegetarian) smoothie bowl (Chunky Monkey plant protein). He says it was good.
I got the Poipu Paradise and specified vegan. I appreciate that our cashier went through the ingredients with me to review, and we excluded the honey and granola (which contains milk powder). Milk would destroy my vacation, and I need to be very careful.
The problem with modifying the bowl this way though is that the honey and granola brought sweetness, and I was left with a bowl that was flat. We ended up taking our bowls and trying to sweeten mine after the fact, which is a marginally successful endeavor.
Pros: Possible to get vegan options, Vegetarian bowls are great, Employees know what is non-vegan
Cons: No substitutes for some non-vegan ingredients

Do not miss this juice bar! - Edit
My fiance and I went here every morning for their incredible smoothie/juice/breakfast menu! I cannot recommend them highly enough, from the food to the staff. They also have these amazing pre-made mason jars full of breakfast concoctions that you can take on the road with you (we had a chia/mango/coconut cream pudding...omg). You can also get the most delicious shave ice at the Locococo shave ice stand right outside the supermarket Anake's is in.

Cons: Might be a bit pricey if you're on a budget
