Cute veggie Hideaway

If you’re accommodation is more outside the city center like ours was, it’s nice to have good food spot close. The place is like a cute garden with a lot of plants and even a pool. We had delicious food for affordable price and got a cuddle from the cat for free.

Pros: Nice garden, Fresh veggie food, Cuddles from the cat

Worth the trip!

We visited this place and had so much great food in a beautiful garden spot. It was both delicious and relaxing. Bring your swimming gear as well for the pool!

Even though it is marked as vegetarian there are very few dishes with egg, and the owner can help you with the menu, she speaks incredible English and is so nice.

authentic flavours

sadly this fabulous restaurant has moved far removed from old town and the menu has changed.
it’s a pretty atmosphere and eventually a home stay but be prepared for changes in the menu and a different chef. i wish them success and give them a try for yourself👍❤️👍

Pros: good menu

Cons: medium price, dark road at night, location

Superb vegetarian restaurant for jain food.

Colorfully decorated vegetarian restaurant located a short walk from Old town. Offers a variety of Asian dishes. We were group of Jain ppl and the owner gave us best options in pure jain food. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. A must visit place if you are in hoi an. Owner is amazing and very helpful.

Wow

I was not expecting so much flavour. I ordered the spicy Korean noodles and my partner the braised vegan sausage and aubergine clay pot and wow. Hands down the best vegan sausage we've ever had. Everything from setting, food and staff are fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
They are open til 9pm, not 8pm

Pros: The food is outstanding, The staff are friendly , You get to pet dogs

Best food in Vietnam

The setting is beautiful and has friendly cats and dogs plus there was a toad sitting by the pool on our first visit which was great. All the dishes we had were delicious and it’s pretty rare that every single dish is amazing but they managed to achieve this. We spent both of our evenings there because the food was so good but had different things each night, the clay pots are so flavoursome and the tofu is divine, the Korean spicy noodles were a real highlight too. Having had some pretty bland dishes in Vietnam, this was truly a magical vegetarian and vegan experience. I couldn’t recommend more.

Pros: Amazing flavours , Extensive menu , Lovely setting and friendly staff

Cons: Relatively expensive for Vietnam , but most certainly worth it!!!

Best food in Vietnam

Overall best meal that we had during our trip in Vietnam. We tried nearly everything on the menu and returned twice! Waiter was incredibly friendly and we loved being able to taste a little bit of everything. Beautiful interior and very fair prices for the quality. Crème de la crème

Nice atmosphere with good food

Overall the food was incredible, I enjoyed the rice with deep fried tofu and dragonplum juice the most. Pad Thai is relatively bland to me, more like stir-fried and the sourness was not significant. However, the staff is great (though there was only 2 on the day I went). One of them even played the piano during our meal after making the food for us 😂

Also their menu has changed a lot and they only offer ~30 items compared to pre covid. Deep fried tofu was not on the menu but they would make if requested!

Morning Glory Salad!

Great salads and other foods. I went twice and both times there were a table of monks eating. I figured I was in good hands. I wasn’t wrong

Lovely people

Lovely friendly people. Big menu. The mushrooms in my curry were so meaty it was a bit scary, good portion size and comes with a warm banh mi. I wouldn’t order it again, it was average I’d say.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly , Quieter area

Cons: Need more vegan dessert

Wow another scrumptious restaurant in Hoi An! Maybe the best so far, and one block from my gym and yoga. Big menu! The pho was world class! Service as good as it gets. And to top it all off they offered me a free custard dessert. Don’t miss this restaurant!!!

Pros: Maybe the best Pho ever!, Big menu options, Japanese pancake is delicious, , Friendly staff, soothing music

Good food, great ambience, bit expensive

Most of the items were vegan except some of the drinks. The restaurant has really nice ambience and delicious Vietnamese food. We had the fresh spring rolls, fried rice and termeric fish with dill. The fish was so incredible and tasted almost exactly like real fish meat. Although a bit expensive, we absolutely loved the food!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, tasty stuff

Cons: Expensive

Delicious food - ate here twice

Out of five nights in Hoi An, we chose to eat here twice. The food was delicious and fresh. Fresh spring rolls were a winner both times. I had the spicy soup twice (2nd time with less spice as 4/7 rating was numbing my mouth). Pad Thai and Okenyaki also recommended. Staff very friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. If we were staying longer, we'd go again!

Defensive waitress.

My partner and I went here after a disappointing experience at an Italian restaurant, where the food was flodded in oil.
We knew they had papaya salad on the menu, which is our safe food when it comes to fresh, oil free options. All we wanted at this point, was food free of oil.
We ordered the papaya salad and the lotus stem salad, with a smirk on our faces we asked if the salads had any oil just to make sure (they never should). The waitress, who spoke very good English btw, confirmed and made sure that there was no oil in the salads.
When the salads were served, they were glistening as if they had oil in them. We tasted them and immediately we could feel on our lips and by touching the salad, that they were oily.
So we told the waitress that, by our surprise, the salads contain oil.
We were received by denial, that absolutely there was no way there could be oil in the salads. As both me and my partner have been studying food science and human nutrition for 5 years, we know oil when we see, taste, and feel it. We felt like it wouldn't lead to anything by arguing with a condescending waitress, we ate the food without really enjoying it. Before we left, I did tell her that there was undoubtedly oil in the salads, as the plates were covered in it, and gave her some technical indications for how I could be so sure (oil droplets, unable to wash the plate with plain water since oil is insoluble in water, etc.), and said to her that either she was lying, or she didn't know what the ingredients contain.
We left feeling powerless food wise, we couldn't even get a fresh salad without oil.
2 stars because I disliked the food.

Pros: Atmosphere, Decor, Cute cat

Cons: Lying/unknowing staff, Food not living up to expectations

Not as good as it used to be

This year I visited several times as I have enjoyed the menu a lot, but now I find the old problem with popular and well reviewed restaurants...they take their foot off the pedals. I still enjoy their Grilled Eggplant and Tofu, and the delicious Chao Mushroom but other dishes now fall short by quite a bit, and the service is now quite slack as well - indifferent esp when the owner is not there.
I find most vegetarian restaurants in Hoi An quite boring, samey and have dull uninteresting food choices, so this is the main reason I now eat Vegan as there are many excellent Vegan places here, with far more interesting and innovative menus to choose from and enjoy.
(I have stayed in Hoi An 6 months a year for the last 5 years)

Pros: Chao Mushroom, Atmosphere, Fair prices

Cons: Food not as good/tasty as it used to be, Smug service, Never really listen when I make suggestions

Tasty food in a nice atmosphere

All the food we had was delicious: fresh mustard leaf spring rolls, fried spring rolls, and the mushrooms with lemongrass and chilli had a great kick. Nice atmosphere - we sat in the outside garden area which was covered (didn't get rained on) and they had fans, pretty lanterns, rock garden and trees. Great service and our waitress spoke excellent english.

Lovely interior, nice food

Very cosy and lovely unique interior. Food was nice, although the okonomyaki (Japanese'pancake') I had was very greasy. Waiters were nice although one tried to take away our drinks when our glasses were not empty (at all) yet, a bit weird. Prices are ok. Asked for no straws in the drinks and they came without, nice!
