Our Best Meal! - Edit
We have been traveling for 2.5 months and this was THE BEST MEAL we've had. The love and care (and delicious flavors) that go into the dishes are unmatched.
Read moreWe made reservations through the website (highly recommended) and arrived for the second seating at 9:30pm. They were out of a few desserts by that time so if you are a big dessert lover I would suggest going to their 7:00pm seating.
We enjoyed negronis, seitan + tonnato appetizer, lasagne bolognese and the pepperoni pizza. Each bite was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection. The prices are also very reasonable for homemade dishes as good and unique as these.
We wish we lived in the area so we could make this spot a regular dinner spot. Alas, we will just have to come back each time we visit Lisboa. Obrigada for the amazing meal!!
Pros: Flavors are amazing!!, Reasonably priced, Yummy drinks

The great Italian experience - Edit
This is a place with so much good food you have to return to.
Read moreA good variety on all options of the menu, with a visual look that it just makes you appreciate the food. The taste is beyond any other Italian restaurant in Lisbon, as far as I know or tried.
The staff is very friendly and helps you if any choice issues come.
Although, due to the limited seating, a reservation is almost required; it is worth it.
Pros: Fantastic food, Friendly staff, Great environment
Cons: Limited seating

Não conheço outro restaurante igual: que nos traga a essência da comida italiana caseira, o sabor, o carinho, o conforto e tudo isto sem sofrimento animal, é sem dúvida um dos meus restaurantes preferidos 🌱 Grazie

Lovely place and great food - Edit
We were really lucky to get a table on a Saturday night without having a reservation. And what a lovely evening it was! We had the bruschetta, the „rabbit“ and the parmigiana and everything was soooo good. We would definitely come back.

Delicious homey italian cuisine restaurant - Edit
This restaurant consists in a very small room in Alfama (better to make a reservation beforehand), requiring a pleasant walk to get there, and just for that reason it already has somekind of a magical feel to it.
Read moreWe were very well received - the service was great, the staff were really nice and helpful and the environment was very comfortable and homey.
For starters we had the “cheese” plate, probably the best I’ve had, each type was so remarkable in terms of consistency and flavour.
The main dishes were the lasagna alla bolognese (delicious with a kind of sweet aftertaste) and a fried calzone (interesting concept, was good, but ends up being too much bread).
We ended our meal with the napolitan cake, cause the waiter said it was the most typical/singular of the bunch, and it did not disappoint either.
The price range is more on the expensive side, but given the location, quality of the food and service, it is justified. I can’t wait to return!

Delicious vegan Italian comfort food - Edit
This little vegan Italian restaurant serves delicious food, like different kinds of pasta, pizza, but also Portuguese dishes.
Read moreWe ate twice at this restaurant during our stay in Lisbon. We had the bruschetta as a starter, which was really tasty and came with Hummus and cashew cream (mozzarella). Tomatoes were really fresh and tasty.
We also tried the lasagne, papardelle al ragu, pizza Margherita and pizza montanara (pan fried pizza). All the dishes were good. We liked the pasta dishes the most. Perfectly al dente pasta and the sauces were very tasty.
Sadly tiramisu was sold out on both occasions, but we had the hazelnut cake and the Napolitan one (ricotta cake). Both were good.
If you are staying (vegan) in Lisbon you should definitely visit this place and enjoy their delicious food. The staff is really friendly and it seems like they have a lot of fun running the restaurant. Book a table otherwise you will be disappointed! Five stars for sure!
Pros: Delicious food, Cosy restaurant , Friendly staff

I spent such a wonderful dinner at Horacio. This place is very small and cosy, so it’s mandatory to book.

We were excited to try the pasta but unfortunately they were only open for take-out and we could only have the pizza and the lasagna. The pizza was good, the lasagna mostly tasted of tomato sauce but nothing else. Really nice service though.

Amazing food, wonderful service - Edit
Yet another amazing vegan restaurant in Lisbon. Feels like eating in a locals front room, really cozy with amazing food. My partner is half Italian and was brought up on authentic Italian food and we never eat at Italian restaurants as he says most Italian restaurants are rubbish. The fact that he loved the food here and said it was full of depth of flavour speaks volumes. Book ahead as there are very few tables and it's very popular.

Incredible authentic food! - Edit
This was our favorite hidden gem in Lisbon. They operate out of a little kitchen tucked in an alleyway and set up checkered tablecloth tables near the stone steps outside—a very romantic setup. The menu is amazing, with some of the best Italian dishes I had even before I went vegan. We ended up going twice during our week in Lisbon.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly, and the chef came out to pour our wine and tell us about it and his restaurant. Everything was great, but the eggplant and pasta dishes stood out for us. They also had incredible cake—we had lemon cake the first night and an awesome chocolate-peanut butter the second.
The prices are also very reasonable for the quality—between 10-15 Euro for an excellent dish. I can't recommend Horacio enough. We were very happy to spend our money to support such a unique and delicious vegan business.
Pros: Amazing authentic Italian dishes and deserts, Romantic and interesting location, Friendly and informative staff

Great authentic Italian food - Edit
This restaurant is amazing, I’ve been there several times and it never disappoints, the food is always great, their lasagna is probably the best I’ve ever had, the pizzas are perfect and the pizza bianca is especially good, I highly recommend the pastas as well. There’s a different desert everyday and it’s always great.

Some of the best food I've ever had - Edit
The food was so good my friends and I (two of us vegan, one omni) literally wanted to cry. The owner is amazing and super friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful. You definitely need a reservation though since they only have eight tables. For being such a small restaurant the service was super quick and they offer a big selection of food (some of the dishes were not available because they didn't have the ingredients, which is totally understandable for a small and new business). I literally have nothing bad to say, definitely 12/10

The best restaurant in Lisbon - Edit
After going there twice we decided to make this a weekly ritual with all of our friends visiting because the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The chef spent the 2,5 months during lockdown to work on the perfect pizza dough and its safe to say that he succeeded - so good! The homemade gnocchi and lasagne were perfect as well. From 6 to 8 pm they serve “aperitivo” (bread with tomatoes and hummus and pasta afterwards). The menu after 8 pm changes weekly and everything is just amazing.
