Very cute location

Friendly staff, good food and cute interior.
I wish there were mere vegan local food but that’s just my preference.

Okay food but expensive

Second time eating here. Seems like the price has gone up a bit and the food is okay.

Delightful food at tokyo prices

Completely vegan restaurant located near the Shinjuku Gyoen.
It offers plenty of great options and the 2 I chose were really good and a pure delight.
At first I was kinda shocked by the high price, but later I realized it's a normal price in Tokyo.

Pretty pricy but very good food

All vegan restaurant that transparently notes all allergens! we had the teriyaki soy chicken and the glutenfree pasta genovese.
For starters we had a tomato-chickpea soup and a salad respectively.
The food was quite tasty, however we easily had space for desserts, which is fine because they were great, but for the price you could expect bigger portions...
The vibe is cozy and has a very european vibe.

The menu was in english and japanese, the server spoke good english and the toilets were clean, for what it's worth ;)

If you don't have the biggest hunger and some spare money, I would recommend this place😄

I love this place and its people

We loved our visit to AIN SOPH Journey. The staff was super friendly and the place is lovely.

We tried the Green Curry, the Teriyaki Chicken with rice, the appetiser the quiche and we loved everything. For dessert we also tried the pancakes and the pudding.

This place is wonderful, in glad we could drop by.

Exceptional food

Quite pricy compared to other places but the quality of the food is worth it. I had the tortilla wrap and the caramel nut brownie. Both were delicious. Would love to visit again and to try other dishes.

Pros: No reservation needed

Cons: Very little Japanese dishes on menu, A bit pricy

The greatest food I have ever had!

I was a little nervous when we arrived in Tokyo that I wouldn't be able to eat very much, this place proved me wrong in the most delicious way.
The staff are absolutely amazing and so sweet.

A reliable vegan spot

Ain Soph has multiple locations, including several in Tokyo and 1 in Kyoto. We tried the one in Shinjuku (Tokyo) and it was very good. I really enjoyed the raspberry cream soda and the crème brûlée. They also sell a few items - I purchased a small cactus leather purse from the location in Kyoto.

Delicious!

This is a great place! Come and eat here. Lots of different choices on the menu and everything is vegan. I had a lovely fresh salad this time but must come back again to try one of the burgers. I also had the craft ginger ale which was very refreshing. Highly recommended.
Update:
Reader, I did go back and the Ripple Cheese Burger was fantastic!
Also recommend the tasty soy bites: Karaage.

More desserts on the menu than main dishes

The main draw appears to be the Heavenly Pancakes. In fact, that was the sign out front and it wasn't clear that the restaurant was Ain Soph until I looked on the menu. There were a large number of dessert dishes on the menu, but the savory options were a bit limited. We had the teriyaki chicken, which was tasty and was served with excellent nutty brown rice with seeds. The green curry was just OK. I made the mistake of also ordering the karaage, which turned out to be the same fried chicken alternative, without the teriyaki sauce, and served with mayonnaise. I would eat here again if in the neighborhood, but wouldn't go out of my way to get here.

Pros: Nutty brown rice with seeds, Easy to find from Shinjuku station, Reasonably priced

Cons: Limited main course options

Yummy

A good modern Japanese restaurant. We pre-ordered the popular heavenly pancakes and are so glad we did as they are…well… heavenly.
We also enjoyed the teriyaki dish they offer - it is my partner’s favourite of the trip so far.
We were really pleased with the food.
However, downstairs it smelt of damp and mold. Upstairs that smell went, but it looked like there was mold in the walls. Whilst this could be an interesting design choice, the smell suggests otherwise and it made me worry about hygiene safety for the workers (and a little us). That’s why I have docked a point. Staff were friendly and food came out promptly.
Must make a reservation - was popular.

Pros: Delicious food, Heavenly pancakes

Cons: Smell of damp, Reservation required (popularity)

Good food

We had a burger with fries (which was delicious) and the soy chicken teriaki bowl (which was okay, but the rice was a bit dry). The drinks were good to. All in all the focus on much healthy vegan food (bowls, brown rice) instead of comfort food. We would come back for the burgers and maybe try some sweets.

Pros: All vegan, Good range of foods, Seasonal foods and drinks

Cons: Lots of choices are made healthy

It was ok

We visited here at 11.30am one day before catching the bullet train, the staff member seating us seemed a bit abrupt but that was fine. We were seated in an area upstairs and served quite quickly. The food was ok, nothing to write home about to be honest. The vibe was a bit strange, maybe would be better visiting at a busier time.

Vegan comfort food

I had a wrap with fresh vegetables and fake meat. I am usually not a fan of fake meat but it was pretty good. My husband had pasta with bolognese sauce, which was pretty good. And he had fake chicken Karagi, which was just okay. In a city of relatively few vegan restaurants, this is an oasis. They left the plastic wrapping on my wrap which made for an unpleasant first bite though.

Pros: Good fresh vegetables , Good flavour

Cons: Attention to detail could be better

Tasty food!

Place is small and fills up quickly. Upon arrival, staff said they were busy and it would take a little longer to prepare our food, but in the end it took a normal amount of time. Food is tasty!

Great vegan, sweet and welcoming resturant

I ate the teriyaki chicken with rice and it was really good, with avocado lettuce and sauces as a takeaway.

The shop seller was so sweet and nice she even wrote a really sweet "thank you :)" on the takeway box.

Would definitely eat there again if I could. There are so many other amazing looking dishes!

Good but a little overpriced

We got the green (spinach) curry and the teriyaki chickn with rice and veggies. Good, not amazing though. So much rice.
Anyway, the taste was good. Staff was very kind. I also got a brownie from their groceries, very good!

UNBELIEVABLE! SO much food!

My wife and I ate so much here. They have multiple menus with so much to choose from. It’s always very overwhelming (in the best way) when you’re Vegan and can eat anything on the menu. We got the matcha beer and lemon beers. They were good! The lemons were grown locally in Hiroshima. We were debating getting one of the courses but decided to make our own. We got the vegetable tortilla rolls, cold tofu noodles in creamy mala sesame sauce, teriyaki deep-fried soy chicken on rice, and the heavenly pancakes! It was all great! Honestly, the heavenly pancakes are not lying. They really stole the show. We need to figure out how to make these at home now. They were so fluffy and perfect. All of the other dishes were phenomenal too. It’s the type of place with LOTS of options and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Get what you’re feeling! Share! Try a lot! We had such a great time.

Pros: Heavenly Pancakes , Soy chicken , Tortilla rolls
