Tasty food

Really good food, some dishes tasted exactly like the Kyoto branch. The only thing they could improve on is the state of the downstairs seating, the ceiling definitely needs painting, looks very dirty.

So Good We Went Twice

Came first thing after landing. Delicious salad plate. The food and atmosphere was so good that we came back towards the end of our stay in Tokyo. Had delicious vegan pesto salad set and karage. Kyoto branch was even better.

Place for Special occasion

Pricey vegan fine dining restaurant. The menu is diverse and fancy, they make it pretty decent too. Liked the karage and pasta, and also a special celebration platter at the end.

The Karaage is Amazing

The karaage is really juicy and quite delicious. I had that and the kinoko hayashi rice for lunch, as well as a black sesame latte, which I also enjoyed. I'm still not acclimated to Japanese portion sizes but this amount of food gave me the perfect level of fullness. I unfortunately wasn't the biggest fan of the hayashi rice, although it wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything to write home about. The service staff was very kind and indulged me with my beginner/intermediate Japanese the whole time even though they spoke perfect English, which I appreciated.

Overpriced and overrated

We were looking forward to eating in this place after seeing generally good reviews, but we were really disappointed in the food we ordered which was very bland and had an unpleasant taste to it. My boyfriend couldnt finish his meal which is very rare, if you end up going here dont order what we got. The walls was covered in black fungus which was kind of disgusting. And on top of this the prices were really high compared to anything else we have eaten in Tokyo. Smoothie was good though, but i wouldnt recommend this place, as there are better alternatives nearby.

Pros: Smoothie

Cons: Taste, Walls, Toilet

Other locations are better

They don't do the iconic pancakes at this location. Lavk of decor was noticeable. They have great black sesame pancakes were great. Everything else was painfully average.

Nice enough but overrated

They weren't serving the classic pancakes and it seemed like they haven't for a while which was disappointing as it was why I booked. My husband got a faux beef wrap and I got the same in a salad. Both were tasty enough but served cold and the wrap was cling wrapped - felt like something to grab from a bakery rather than a dinner. We split 2 desserts which looked good but weren't very sweet. I wouldn't visit again as I've had much better tasting and value vegan food in Japan, including at non vegan restaurants.

Funky loft style cafe

Mushrooms were our highlight but beware they are very hot and in oil! Our server did warn us about this which was lucky. Taco salad was very healthy and light. Cutlet that we added on was nice but small. Quiche was a bit funny texturally for me but the ham flavour was there. Food was nice but a little over priced compared to the other wonderful things we have found around Tokyo.

Fine Dining

We booked here for fancy dining so it is no doubt expensive. The hayashi rice’s stew can be a tad salty if you don’t eat it with the rice. The green curry was aromatic. Kara-age was decent and the tiramisu was the highlight of my dining experience! The coconut berry smoothie was delicious!! You are also able to tip here.

Main courses were boring

We only had mains and those were quite bland so we found the restaurant overrated and overpriced . Which is a shame because it was so good to find a vegan restaurant in Beijing

The soufflé pancake the nwighbour hung table us looked nice.

Pros: Vegan , Relaxed atmosphere

Cons: Basic quality of food , Expensive

Not just for pancakes!

The pancakes were out of this world, definitely the best vegan pancakes that entered my esophagus. I ordered the sessional black sesame pancakes fyi. My partner and I also got the two curry options which were so deep and flavorful. The vegan karage was absolutely delicious. They were both moist and flavorful. We took the vegan quiche to go and it was fantastic cold. Oh and their smoothie was so yummy!!!

Great quality food but a bit expensive

I ordered a mountain salad and green curry, not realizing the portion sizes were very large. Good quality food nonetheless.

Pros: Good quality food, Central location, Good service

Great vegan option

I enjoyed my lunch here- had the mushroom curry with a fake cutlet on the side. The salad dressing was especially fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed an iced mint tea as the day was sweltering.
The restaurant was easy to pass on the street so be mindful. It’s street-level.
Was a bit disappointed the pancakes were not available, but the supply chain is affecting some ingredients.

Pros: Fresh veggies, Good portion, Friendly service

Cons: Pancakes not available

Excellent food and service

A strong 4.5, but I reserve my 5s for those very special places!

Food was just excellent, many things were sold out (didn't get to try the pancakes). It is a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. The vegan creme brulee was overly burnt in my opinion and just kind of a cold mess underneath, only disappointing thing I got there in my two visits. Super highly recommend the tiramisu!

Building was a bit weird, walls seemed dirty/moldy a bit, but not distracting unless you are a detailed oriented contractor like me, probably.

Pros: Food, Service

Cons: Atmosphere a little lacking (just paint those wall, Creme brulee

Hearty vegan comfort food, cozy setting

I enjoyed my lunch here. The place is nice and cozy. I had their Hayashi rice - mushroom tomato stew, and a side of vegan karaage (love). And super enjoyed their matcha tiramisu.

Pretty nice, but for the price? 🤔

We tried the full course dinner. Several plates later, we found highs and lows, but overall experience was good.
Restaurant plays “the expensive” cards, but inside is quite neglected, sorry to say. Mostly state of walls etc.
In the other hand, service was superb and quick!
A loved the cup salad idea :).

Pros: Luxurious course dinner, Fun detailes, Quick service

Cons: Quite expensive, Inside needs maintenance

Amazing Desserts

Good food, but even better deserts that blend multiple cuisines together. The Sesame pancakes were especially delicious. Very good presentation and service. Limited seating so reserve in advance.

Lovely lunch place

We had the pesto pasta lunch set. This includes a main pasta dish (GF) with a delicious pesto and lots of cabbage. You can also pick a side dish, I had the fried tofu. These were very juicy but not very flavorful. As a drink a had a matcha latte, which was good. It’s a bit pricey but I would go again.

Crème brûlée of my dreams

We weren’t able to book online so we had to wait a while, but once in the food was served very quickly. The entrees were really yum, faux chicken nuggets and corn soup. We both liked the mains, pasta genovese and a rice dish with tomato/mushroom sauce (can’t remember the name) but we weren’t blown away. The dessert on the other hand… my husband loved the Japanese pudding and I would almost move to Tokyo for the crème brûlée. Delicious!

It’s a bit tricky to find for non-Japanese speakers. If you get off at exit C5 from Shinjuku-Sanchome Station is pretty much right there as you emerge with lots of plants at the front.

Desserts are sooo good 🤤

We went to Ain soph in Kyoto and it was really good, so we had to come back in Tokyo - we were not disappointed. The main dishes were already really good, but the real hit were the desserts. We had the tiramisu and the caramel brownie with ice cream and it was soo yummyy! Highly recomended :)

Pros: All vegan, Delicious desserts, Friendly staff

Cons: Little bit on the pricier side, Air condition too cold
