Decent food. Nothing special. - Edit
The food was decent. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't special. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Excellent and delicious - Edit
A quiet and pleasant place, the dish we ordered was fresh and simply delicious!! We took the hamburger with chips, there are also desserts that look excellent but we didn't get to taste, we'll save it for the next time we come back. Highly recommended!

Decent dinner - Edit
[Visited June 2024]
Read moreShared a vegan cutlet, a rice bowl with soy meat, and pancakes. The food was good, but it didn’t stick out to me as amazing. The rice bowl was a bit small. Despite this, it’s a pretty decent option in Kyoto.

Delicious vegan burger - Edit
We came here to have some dinner, the restaurant was actually about to close up, but still allowed us to come in and eat. The food was delicious and I was so glad to be able to eat in a fully vegan restaurant in Kyoto, since eating vegan in Jaoan can be a challenge sometimes. The staff was friendly and the food tasted great.

Fantastic finding a fully vegan restaurant in Kyoto. Teriyaki soy-chicken was great with a beer, and my takeaway burger and fries were super satisfying later on.

Really satisfied the burger/fry craving - Edit
We liked both our burgers, and I was a big fan of the soy cutlet one. The fries were just okay but we'd been craving a bit of western food and it hit the spot. Would definitely go back #Veganuary

okay-ish - Edit
I unfortunately had an okay-ish experience. The staff was polite, nothing to complain about them! I ordered pancakes, but they did not taste like pancakes at all. it was as if I was eating bread with sweet toppings. I payed about 1900yen for those 2 "pancakes", so I had really high hopes for it.

I unfortunately wouldn't recommend eating here😒

Soul nourishingly good burgers. - Edit
Walking through the kyoto shopping district in the cold rain and decided to duck in for late lunch. New lease on life after trying both burgers and the banana pound cake. Don't feel guilty about reverting to standard western fare because this is not standard and needs to be tried!!

Vintage clothing, Vegan Burgers, what more could you want! - Edit
If you love great vegan food, affordable and accessible entrance & a delightful ambience, this is the place for you.
Read moreNot only are the staff delightful, but the food was to die for. I went for the cheese burger and it was a revelation. I would highly recommend this restaurant for delicious cuisine & a dining experience you will remember.
Tall people might find it a bit tricky to navigate the lower level, I am 5.9 and I needed to watch my head for light fittings. Make it work though, because the burgers are amazing.
Pros: The food was delicious., The venue has a unique charm & lovely staff, The location is central but very accessible

Teriyaki Chicken on good recommendation - Edit
Sat at a shared table, where I met a cool couple from Texas. They recommended the Teriyaki chicken and the girl was totally loving the pancakes with ice cream and whipped cream. Decided on the Teriyaki chicken and was not disappointed. The reviews weren’t off, it’s delicious!

Worth it for the heavenly pancakes alone - Edit
The teriyaki soy chicken was fine. The mushroom stew was hearty and warm with the most delicious mushroom. We were lucky enough to get the last pancakes (a sign said they only make 20/day), and they were amazing!

Nice burger - Edit
We had two of the ripple cheese burgers and some karage chicken. All excellent. Even the burger bun was delicious, the best bun bread I have ever had I think. The food was quick; we were in the restaurant only 30 minutes in total (after being on a waiting list for about 15 minutes during which we wandered around the market).

This store delivers, not a tourist trap - Edit
I expected to be disappointed by another tourist trap among the many vegan(friendly) stores in Kyōto, but nope, I was positively surprised.
Read moreI had the "teriyaki chicken bowl", "nuts salad (with a non-onion dressing instead of the signature onion dressing)" and tried my friend's "heavenly pancakes".
The nuts salad looked overpriced and small at first but it was really well combined! The roasted almonds added a lot of flavour and depth.
The heavenly pancakes were sooo fluffy! Very Japanese :D. But as usual the taste from pancakes comes from the toppings and those were all ace. The ice cream and whipped cream especially.
Only my teriyaki chicken bowl hurts my review score as it was only ok. The "meat" was ok, the mayonnaise as well. But the guacamole was tasteless and besides three leaves of salad there was only rice in the bowl. Could have done with more vegetables.
All in all I would definitely recommend this place – but bring a bit of time as they take time to make your dishes. And wear clothes you want to wash anyway as they will smell like the kitchen smell that wafts through the restaurant.
Pros: Nuts Salad is small but tastes great, Heavenly pancakes are awesome
Cons: Teriyaki don is boring, You will smell like kitchen afterwards

Really great pancakes! - Edit
I had the heavenly Pancakes, the cheese burger. The pancakes are really recommendable! Sooo fluffy and yummie. Really good. The Burger was good, but the fries were disappointing and a few more wouldnt have hurt. They lacked salt or other spices. But the pancakes - indeed heavenly!

Good but not mind blowing - Edit
We ordered fruit pancakes a cheese burger with fries and a fruit tea.
Read moreTeh highlight for me was teh fruit tea, omg it was so fragrant and the flowers in it are edible. Eat them it just add to the experience. I would have happily bought some of this I fusion mix but it is not for sale unfortunately.
The pancakes where underwhelming but still nice to eat and accompanied with some nice fruit, which lacks in japan so is good.
The burger was good but not great, the cheese was more like a cheesy sauce the patty was good but not exceptional, fries were very nice and crunch maybe a bit of a too small portion if you order just that.
Pros: Must try fruit I fusion tea, Fruit served with pancakes, Great location adjacent to Nishiki Market
Cons: Pancakes are really not that special, Cheese in the cheeseburger is a sauce, Opening times and limit on total pancakes per day
