Okay Salad, Great Dressing
As noted below, the hours are severely limited to serve the Central Business District lunch crowd. I've been here a few times and while it was good, I got pretty burned out on it pretty quick. In my opinion, the absolute best part is the homemade salad dressing (is it tamari, lemon juice, olive oil, and soy sauce?).

Bennachin is always good and the vegetarian options are plentiful. I had a black-eyed-pea fritter po-boy (though I'm sure it wasn't called that) along with baked red potatoes with a tomato cream sauce the last time I went. It was amazing. The plantains are insanely good- addictive.
The atmosphere is small and cozy. Cash Only.

Good for a snack
There really isn't an extensive menu here- it's more of a coffee shop (a very cozy and quintessential New Orleans coffee shop at that). The pastries are fantastic and the environment is relaxed. It's definitely one of my favorite local places. CASH ONLY!

Pretty mediocre. But worth a calorie splurge. I mean, it's pasta in a hollowed slice of french bread! You can't really screw that up. Classic comfort food.

french fries and hummus
Mona's is good, but it's not the best Lebanese food in town. My boyfriend and I go here when I want to have a cheap, light dinner, but still want to cheat a little. I absolutely love that you can order french fries and hummus together (who knew it would be so delicious!?). I usually order my hummus/fries combo along with a large Greek/Mediterranean salad. The boyfriend gets the falafel sandwich.
Quick, Cheap, Good.
