Good - Edit

Every time I have been to Angeli's, the food has been delicious.
The service is a hit or miss though.
It's in a good area, and I do enjoy going there.

Pros: Delicious, Great Location

Cons: Service sometimes sucks

Huge portions - Edit

From the week I spent in NOLA I found that I could not find inexpensive food and vegetarian options were scarce. The prices at Angeli's were pricey to me, but the portions were HUGE so it was well worth it. The pasta I got (which turned out to come with pizza also) was delicious. I could barely eat half the pasta let alone the pizza. They had cherry wheat Sam Adams on tap which is kind of rare and great. I went on a Wednesday night after 10:00 and there was only another small group in the restaurant but I could see it being a fun place if there were more people or a band as mentioned in another review.

Pros: HUGE portions

severely disappointed - Edit

i used to really love this place for it's location and ambiance. however, the last time i was there, i ordered a veggie burger. the waiter brought what appeared to be slaughtered cow meat. i asked him if he was sure it was veggie several times, and he reassured me that it was several times. i took one bite, and had begun to chew when he returned to the table with a stunned look on his face. i was able to spit it all out, but that didn't stop the tears from coming. that was the first time my husband and i ever walked out of a restaurant without paying. i will never eat there again!!!

My favourite place - Edit

Angeli's has been my fave place to eat out since I first came across it in 2000. I love the casual atmosphere and the people-watching is good too. But mostly I love the fact that I can order several options from the menu as a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I have eaten there with vegan friends too and have yet to ever encounter any issues. I live in Canada, so it isn't often I get to enjoy Angeli's, but it often the first place I head to when I arrive in NOLA. Love it!

Pros: nice staff, great lemonade, lots of choice

disappointing - Edit

I have gone to Angeli's for over 13 years and I have always found it to be a fun place filled with great people and a charming atmosphere. I was very disappointed my last visit there. The server was quite somber and when i ordered my sandwich sans cheese, he asked if I was vegan, to which I responded, 'yes'. He then tried to tell me that there was cream in the focaccia bread and therefore not a vegan option- it sounded as if he did not want my business. I told him I'd let it slide this time and tried to get him to crack a smile. In spite of his rudeness, the sandwich was pretty good. I doubt I'll return in the future.
