From the week I spent in NOLA I found that I could not find inexpensive food and vegetarian options were scarce. The prices at Angeli's were pricey to me, but the portions were HUGE so it was well worth it. The pasta I got (which turned out to come with pizza also) was delicious. I could barely eat half the pasta let alone the pizza. They had cherry wheat Sam Adams on tap which is kind of rare and great. I went on a Wednesday night after 10:00 and there was only another small group in the restaurant but I could see it being a fun place if there were more people or a band as mentioned in another review.
I have gone to Angeli's for over 13 years and I have always found it to be a fun place filled with great people and a charming atmosphere. I was very disappointed my last visit there. The server was quite somber and when i ordered my sandwich sans cheese, he asked if I was vegan, to which I responded, 'yes'. He then tried to tell me that there was cream in the focaccia bread and therefore not a vegan option- it sounded as if he did not want my business. I told him I'd let it slide this time and tried to get him to crack a smile. In spite of his rudeness, the sandwich was pretty good. I doubt I'll return in the future.

What's not to like? - Edit
A perfectly delectable pizza place. Spacious interior that's suitably dim for late-night dinner, well priced, huge portions and pleasant staff.

CASH ONLY - Edit
Every time I go there, I forget that it's cash only. I always find it a little greasy- but it's good for late night dining.
