Affordable, Vegan Friendly and Great Vibe
This was an excellent brunch place for vegans! The prices are surprisingly cheap and the food was delicious and plentiful. My biggest surprise was the almond milk option for coffee (delicious). Highly recommend.

Great vegetarian/vegan brunch place
Curly's offers up vegans the opportunity to eat all the brunch/diner food that they once gave up. Great atmosphere, massive portions (leads to a lot of food waste, unfortunately) and many options. There can be a really long wait on the weekends, especially around noon.

An enthusiastic, personal experience
My partner and I found Inspire Café when it first opened in the Historical Society. The staff were personal and friendly and very eager to bring vegan fare to DC. The food was very home-grown and it felt like a I was eating in a friend's kitchen. Very happy to have discovered it and encourage others to support it.

Insanely cheap Indian food
Pushap is a deliciously greasy cheap eats joint with a wide selection of vegetarian/vegan fare. Pushap samosas are a staple for anyone who has ever gone to McGill. This is excellent if sinfully rich Indian food is what you're looking for.

Excellent, affordable vegan food on Bainbridge
Emmy's small booth provides a lot of taste and character to the island. Friendly staff, good selection and affordable prices.

Vegetarian resource north of the park
Fairway is a massive grocery store that offers a wide variety of products (including eco-friendly items and organic, fair-trade items). This is one of the few large grocery stores in the upper part of Manhattan that offers vegetarian and vegan products such as nutritional yeast, daiya cheese, tofutti, alternative milks (coconut, soy, rice, almond), etc. Everything is reasonably priced although the produce is a bit steep for what you get.

Incredibly delicious and rich Italian food
I went to Portabello with my gluten-free, vegan partner and his omnivore sister and both were impressed and satisfied with their meal. This restaurant provides a menu that is very inclusive and palatable for most. The food was high quality and in good proportions (unexpected for a "fancier" restaurant). The prices were reasonable- 2 appetizers, a bottle of wine, 3 entrées and 2 desserts came out to about $85.
