Don’t miss the South Austin Stir Fry

We love this spot! Lots of character and a large and varied menu. The south Austin stir fry, nachos, and lentil spaghetti special are some of my go tos.

Delicious classic vegan food

This place is great if you want a hefty, decent, no-frills vegan breakfast or lunch. The tofu scramble was heavy on the nooch (and delicious), the blueberry cornbread was fluffy and warm. For those who've been vegan now for over a decade, you'll find the food here reminds you of the time before vegan products were found pretty much everywhere. A bit nostalgic, a lot delicious. And they include the tip in the bill, which is just good policy and results in better wages for restaurant workers.

Service was also really fast (though I went on a Tuesday morning).

Only thing I'd change is more tofu scramble and bigger pieces. My plate had a lot of teeny tiny pieces of tofu, almost like I had the last of the batch — not sure if that's just how their scramble is though. No harm, no foul...even those tiny pieces were tasty!

Top Notch Choice

This place really knows their customer base in the vegan community. Great service and so many choices to choose from! They have a long wait for brunch so plan ahead. (I was able to dine at the bar much quicker).

Pros: Fresh food and so accommodating

Cons: Read the specials - I didn’t notice the signs

Good but not great

I had the oven cake breakfast with the tofu scramble. I also tried the vegan queso. Overall, the food wasn’t as good as I expected based on how crowded and highly rated this place is. The vegan queso was watery and the corn bread was dry. Tofu scramble missed the mark for me as well but those are hard to get right.

Lots of lovely options and fast service, maybe I just need to come back and try different menu items. Still a great spot, but not worth the 1hr wait time for brunch. I’ll give it 3.75 out of 5 bananas 🍌🍌🍌🍌

Excellent food - so many choices

We met some non-vegan friends for dinner, and one of them suggested this restaurant. There were so many choices of vegan/gluten free food, it took 15 mins to read the menu. We ordered the Bandera plate (deconstructed enchiladas) and the vegan BBQ plate, along with a Masala Mocha - all were excellent. We are sad we aren’t staying in town li her so we could go back and try more.

Pros: All food was excellent , Great service , Lots of choices

Cons: Not a single thing we would improve

One of My Favorites in Austin!!

I love grabbing breakfast here and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Everything that I have had on their menu has been delicious and I’m never disappointed. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is pretty chill. Some of my favorite dishes on the menu include Wanna B.L.T.A. , El Tipico, El Maximo, and La Donna.

All dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. I had the Renedict/tofu and it was sublime!

The atmosphere is cute, filled with eclectic memorabilia. The service was nice. The food was great! Excellent food AND drink menu.

Mimosas for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do!

Pros: Huge menu, Delicious , Nice atmosphere

Good food. Dog friendly

Had the Vegan Renadict plate. Good quantity of food and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. Service was quick for the high crowd volume. Parking was difficult during peak hours. Tofu scramble nicely flavored with good texture. Good selection of vegan and vegetarian options.
We had our service dog with us tucked completely under the table and waitress notified of her presence and was asked to be careful about paws but she still managed to step on her paw causing some injury. Will likely need an X-ray. The patio had many dogs present so they are dog friendly and accommodating in general.

Pros: Food quality/flavor, Food quantity , Service speed

Cons: Parking, Caution around dogs

Out of this world. Go here!

I would travel to Austin just for this. My partner and I were in town for just one night while passing through on a road trip, and we’re so glad we chose this spot for breakfast on our way out.

The vibe is definitely unique and cool. There are so many little, special touches - from the collection of different light fixtures (my favorite was either the one made from bicycle tires or the one made from paintbrushes) to the wall art to the little image of Totoro painted on a shelf. It’s eccentric and fun.

We were greeted by a host who exuded that air of effortless coolness, where they don’t need to try or care. Maybe because they are paid a livable wage, so they can just be themselves? After we were shown to a table we were quickly greeted by our very sweet, attentive waitress with a killer outfit who kindly helped us decide between our options. If you only get one shot at a restaurant and don’t know when you’ll get the chance to return, you want to pick the right items! I was pleased to see that they treat and pay their staff well here. I’m sure it contributes to the excellent service.

The food blew our minds. The pesto is out of this world; I wish I had the recipe for it. The queso with chorizo is incredible. The blueberry cornbread was scrumptious. Great coffee, too! Everything was to die for. I wish I lived here just so I could eat my way through the whole menu. They’re doing something very right here. #Veganuary

Pros: Pesto, Queso, Atmosphere

Huge menu

As a vegan, I almost skipped this place because they are not fully vegan and that would have been sad. The atmosphere and the huge menu is worth going back multiple times.

Get the Potato Leek Omelet, Grilled Blueberry Cornbread, and the Migas plate.

I come here twice a week.

I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten here. I get the spicy pesto every single time and I love an all day breakfast place. If they have the cinnamon rolls (if they haven’t sold out) you must get one!

One of my fave restaurants in the world!

In Austin from the northeast for a yoga retreat, my hosts took me to dinner at this restaurant, and I have to say it is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world! I love the extensive, eclectic menu -- and the fact that a vegan version is offered for every dish. I had the Fall Harvest Bowl with added beets, and really appreciated how healthful as well as flavorful this dish was. I also shared some delicious cornbread with my table mates, had a refreshing ginger soda -- and rounded out the incredible meal with a peanut butter cup dessert. The staff were kind and funny, and their service was super efficient too!

Pros: Extensive, eclectic menu , Delicious healthy food, Kind and efficient staff

Cons: Absolutely no cons!!

Pros: Lavender Mocha with soy , Vegan breakfast platters , Friendly staff

Cons: Parking during peak hours
