yummy Vietnamese food, quick and friendly service - Edit
The service makes you want to be a regular! We enjoyed the dishes we tried (though probably wouldn’t order the curry or potstickers again). There’s ample outdoor seating available. Everything seems to be made fresh to order. Yum!

Lots of options, all vegan! Cute outdoor patio with plenty of tables. Fast and friendly service. Not too pricey. Nothing in this area is inexpensive. Good portions.

Great Vietnamese style veggie place with lots of vegan options. Very friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. The kabob salad and the golden tofu noodles were super fresh and delicious.

A great option if you can eat outside - Edit
No indoor seating, but the food is tasty, and a good serving size. I had the sesame chicken which was seitan and the kabobs which had a more stringy texture. Definitely recommend.

Best option on Bainbridge - Edit
For the size of their kitchen, it is very impressive how many options and ingredients they have. But everything ends up tasting pretty similar and is something i could make at home if i could get their interesting protiens. Very friendly, but i think they are hampered by the size. Calling it a "hole in the wall" would be generous. I eat there when I'm on Bainbridge and hungry, not worth going out of the way for.

Pretty good! - Edit
They use quite a few mock meats but if that’s your thing, then this is the place for you! They also have tofu and you could always ask to omit the mock meat if that’s your thing!

Disappointing, flavor-free - Edit
Got some vegetable fried noodles from these guys at a local street fair. This was my first experience getting fried noodles from an Asian restaurant that literally had no flavor of any kind added to them. Ditto for the vegetables that were included, which tasted like they were steamed and then thrown on top. The spring rolls, at least, had salt and pepper and were cooked inside. Overall, disappointing, shockingly bland food.

Ehhhh not good - Edit
A nice outdoor seating place but the food is not very good at all. I asked the cook what the "kebob" was made from and she told me "tempeh" but then another customer asked too and she said "vegetables". When I got the kebob, it was neither ? - really didn't taste good either. Disappointed in this place and I would NOT recommend.

Our large group raved about the food from here. Fresh and plentiful. Nice to have a vegan establishment available as the town is relatively small.

Disappointing - Edit
Was so excited to try Emmy's while on a day trip on Bainbridge Island. Large menu and decent prices, but food was very bland just not great overall. I got the teriyaki chicken which looked nothing like the picture. The sauce was very strange, more of a ginger sauce than teriyaki. Also got the golden rolls, which I saw them take out of a package in the freezer... Not homemade, not fresh. The sauce that came with them was also strange. Cute little space and love that there is a vegan option on BI, but I will not be back. So glad I don't live on the island where this is my only vegan option!

Everything is vegan! - Edit
I ordered the sesame chicken. It was decent, just not what was expected. The “chicken” was basically just nicely seasoned tofu cubes rather than fake meat. My husband loved it and even finished my plate. I will be back to try other menu options!

Vegan on Bainbridge Island - Edit
Excellent vegan Asian food in dowtown Bainbridge Island! I spent a relaxing afternoon wandering around this small island community across the sound from Seattle. And thanks to HappyCow I found Emmy’s. This somewhat old-style vegan menu (many items listed with ‘meat’ names) is a delight and the only 100% vegan establishment on the island. I had Tofu noodle soup and fresh rice paper rolls. My companion had the Sesame “Chickien”, which I tried. None of the food seemed oily to us. The brown rice was freshly steamed and the vegetables were also fresh and nicely al dente.

A favourite on Bainbridge Island - Edit
My partner's family has been visiting Emmy's for nearly two decades. We visit every time we're in town, as much to get the noodle and kebab dish as to say hello to Emmy. This is an unpretentious, quick, affordable, vegan option that's conveniently located in the downtown of the Island. There are many options available and I've consistently enjoyed the food.

so it is great that there is a vegan restaurant here... - Edit
But it could be better. Big menu but items seem pretty similar. Kind of reminded me of mall Chinese food. Greasy. The potstickers were not good. My daughter had "chicken" strips and liked them though.

The only good news: it's all vegan.
Read moreWe had the potstickers, the duck, fried rice with kebob and curry soup. The fried rice didn't seem fried, just rice tossed with sauce. (The kebob seemed to be made of seitan, to answer a precious reviewer's question). The curry soup was pretty bland. My husband says the potstickers were horrible. The duck was greasy and bland.
Pros: It's all vegan., Bainbridge Island is pretty., Pleasant service.
Cons: Food is bland and greasy., Outdoor seating or takeout only.
