Fresh Food, Good Vegan Options - Edit
The vegetarian/vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, and when I went there was a vegan special item: mushrooms al pastor. I recommend this special if it’s available, as I found it to be tastier than the “tinga” taco I also ordered. The tinga taco had good vegan cheese on top, but I found the mushrooms too juicy and slippery for my liking. According to the menu, the tortillas are handmade in-house with a kind of heirloom corn; that and the other vegan ingredients somewhat justify the price for each taco.
Read moreMy friends and I split the salad as well as chips with guacamole. The zentli salad was fresh and wholesome, with a variety of seeds, quinoa, and fruit. The chips arrived warm, crunchy, and not oily; the guacamole was mild, creamy and flavorful.
Edit: Happy Cow states seating is by reservation only, but my party was seated without one. That said, we were asked when we walked in if we had a reservation, so I’m not sure if they are stricter about reservations during a dinner rush.

Amazing Mexican restaurant with mostly vegan/options - Edit
This is a real neighborhood gem! Wonderful warm friendly service and a unique menu full of vegan/veg options. The menu clearly identifies which items are veg. Fantastic tacos and drinks. We loved everything we tried.

Great flavor! Great people vibe! - Edit
Not a huge mushroom fan, but man those were the best mushroom based tacos I’ve ever had. The tortillas were off the hizzle and the owner served us and was swell.

Such delicious and unique Mexican food. I actually didn’t know they had a separate vegan menu, but since the standard menu clearly indicated vegan options, it was just fine! In addition to having great food with lots of vegan options, the place had great decor and a great feel. We will be back soon and I will ask about whether they can make the vegan dessert option mentioned in another review!

Separate vegan menu, all gluten-free, delicious food! - Edit
This restaurant has a separate fully vegan menu, and the entire menu is gluten-free as well (only one item on their regular menu contains gluten, everything else is gluten-free).
Read moreMake sure to specify "vegan" when ordering though, as many of the vegan items are modified from the regular menu. They have vegan cheese & cream which is added to many vegan items - I found it a bit too realistic/"cheesy" tasty for my taste personally, but I'm sure some people may really like that!
I did really like the base of the items though - I tried guac & chips, taquitos, molotes, and some of the tacos. Nopales (cactus) and oyster mushroom "tinga" were scrumptious & made for a unique meal! The molotes was my favorite.
They also offered an off-menu vegan dessert of plantains & vegan caramel sauce, which we did not try, but it sounds yummy!
The food was really delicious, will definitely be back!
