Let me set the scene. We are in Bend, Oregon. Crazy amount of white people. There’s a Japanese restaurant. This place is blatantly Japanese. It’s got anime posters, anime playing on the screen, daruma dolls, noren, etc. So riddle me this. Why is there kimchi at a Japanese establishment? Additionally, why is their kimchi fried rice not even red??? Are all East Asians foods the same over here in Oregon?
Read moreAnyways, there are limited vegan choices but I got the Wakame Seaweed Salad and Veggie Yakisoba. It was all fine aside from the weird grouping of Korean food under a Japanese title.

Cool spot with tasty options - Edit
This spot has awesome interior design that creates a fun vibe. The food is pretty tasty. Items on the menu are marked as ‘VG’. Some items, like the agedashi tofu, may be able to be made vegan if the bonito (fish) flakes are not included.
