Good Cheap Local Food - Edit
Come here for a quick meal of standard local fare. It is cheap and cheerful and close to the main Puli bus station. I really loved their fresh spring rolls as well as their dumplings. It's not the most appealing-looking from the outside with a messy kitchen in the front, but inside is spacious and clean.

On Google Maps this restaurant is also called "Snowflake Vegetarian". I really enjoyed my lunch here. I tried stinky tofu for the first time (albeit I don't have any benchmark yet) I think it was really tasty. Also ordered a side dish of tofu and dry toon sauce noodles. The owner was able to talk a little bit of English but I could easily translate the menu through Google Lens. Very cheap as well, only paid about 120 TWD. Payment only goes with cash.
Read moreTip: there is a vegan baozi place a couple of doors to the left (when exiting the restaurant). I tried the brown sugar peanut baozi which made for an excellent dessert.
