Stall inside the Third Market (第三市場) selling tofu pudding and shaved ice. Choose any combination of tofu pudding (豆花), tapioca bubbles (粉圓), basil seeds (山粉圓), thick rice noodles (米苔目), rice jelly (粉粿), red beans (紅豆), and mung beans (綠豆). If you want your order colder, add fig jelly shaved ice (愛玉冰), grass jelly shaved ice (仙草冰), or mung bean shaved ice (綠豆冰). Open Mon-Sun 8:30am-4:00pm. Closed on rainy days.

Hit the spot

Super traditional tofu pudding being served up at this little stall. We arrived around 4pm when the market looked pretty dead, but the stall was still open. The proprietors asked what we wanted and told us we could combine any number of items on the menu. I loved the rice jelly and small tapioca bubbles. I slurped it all up in no time and was tempted to get a second bowl. (I would have if I didn’t have a dinner reservation at 5pm.) Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Note that they do close on rainy days.
