Great Food nearby the Pier!

Needed a place to eat near the pier, and this all-plant-based establishment hit the mark! I ordered the Neatball dish, and it was fantastic. The pizzas, veggie burger, and salads were all thoroughly enjoyed by other members in our party. You can't go wrong with any option. The only thing to consider is that you won't have much of a service or waiter around... I'm here for the food, and I was served in a timely manner, which is mainly what I care about.

Really good light but filling food

The 20 minute walk from our bus was definitely worth it for this lovely place. We happened to appear the day a massive street festival was going on yet we were still able to be seated right away.
The charcoal lemonade was absolutely perfect in the summer sunshine and the food was really tasty and light.
They were very busy so the food took a little bit longer than expected to arrive but it was worth the wait.

My husband had a salad with falafel and as any vegan will know, we all have a love/hate relationship with falafel! But these guys nailed it. Full of flavour and not dry at all!
I had one of their pizzas. It arrived absolutely drowning in rocket which I brushed most of that off. The pizza itself was brilliant with a little spicy kick. I thought there would have been a little bit of vegan cheese on it but the flavours were still very good without it.
Lovely place!

Loved it

Visited on a busy weekend and got seated immediately, and food and drinks came quickly. Everyone we interacted with was lovely as well!
Food was delicious and fresh, especially the sausage omelette from the brunch menu.

Absolutely delicious!

This place was so gorgeous! The inside was so cute and the menu had many different options. It’s so nice to see a high-end place that’s all vegan. The service was also great. Take advantage of the specials! They rotate through different seasonal foods and make their specials around that so I would definitely recommend. We had the polenta cakes as an appetizer and they were to die for!

Pros: All vegan, Seasonal specials , Great service, pretty restaurant

Cons: Drinks were hit or miss, Expensive

Creative plant-based meals

Great atmosphere and creative food. A 9/10 meal — both my non-veg guest and I would come back!

All day dining

On November 8th, 2023 I met my friend here for a late lunch at 2:30. She ordered the pizza which was delicious and I had the Wildseed Burger. I rarely order a burger but I decided to try theirs because it was house-made. I'm glad I did! It was absolutely delicious, served with pickled vegetables, french fries and a curried ketchup. ($18.00) You can add avocado or cheese for a $2 upcharge.

The restaurant is beautiful inside, but we sat outdoors because it was such a beautiful afternoon. If you choose to sit outside, just be aware that at times there can be some excessive Street noise.

Service was attentive, but very casual, almost to the point of being unprofessional. When our waitress brought the pizza, her fingers were touching the crust!

Update: February 7th, 2024
We had another delicious lunch of spicy sausage pizza, a kale salad and a warm beet and banana cake for dessert.

Update: it's March 6th and I am back for lunch. My friend and I ordered polenta cakes, and ensalada andalusia and the caponita pizza. The polenta cakes and the pizza were delicious. The salad was a bit boring.

Update: I was here again on saturday, March 30, 2024. Since it was a weekend, I was jazzed to see the brunch menu! My companion and I ordered the chilaquiles and the spicy sausage omelette. Both were delicious! Service was spotty today. Part way through our meal our wait-person vanished, never to be seen again until we had to ask for the check from another server. The service here seems to be spotty. Sometimes it's overly attentive and other times you are basically ignored!

Really good

I'm generally skeptical about the kind of place that advertises their seasonal ingredients, but this was genuinely very good.

Tried the wild mushroom fritters and the asparagus, and they were both great. I liked the fritters best. The interior was very nice as well.

Varied Menu, Good Value

We enjoyed everything we tried including salad, burger, mushroom fritters and desserts. Had a busy Cow Hollow vibe on a Friday night, service was attentive and prices in the high teens for many items were a good value.

Solid vegan option

We had a great dinner here. You definitely need a reservation. I’m inclined to go to Rad Radish instead when in SF, same owner, similar menu, easier and less $. However Wildseed has some other options and is a nicer dining experience.

Delicious & friendly

Went on a busy Saturday night with a reservation. Very helpful server which was lovely. We lved the spicy pizza's crust & the Amarillo sauce on the tofu shish kabob. Cheesecake is very lemon-y & the skillet cookie is tasty & fun. Second yummy visit- expensive but great fit a special occasion.

Good place to take Omni friends

Disclaimer: I really don’t like vegan cheese. So keep this in mind.

Went with a group of vegan and omnivorous friends. Everyone enjoyed it — the pizzas and pastas were a particular hit. I liked the salads, but I should have asked for cheese on the side. The flavor was a bit too salty and the texture was off.

Excellent!

We loved everything we tried here— my favorites were the autumn salad which included kale, arugula, delicate squash, and cranberries, and for dessert the warm chocolate chip cookie. We also enjoyed the eggplant parm, orichette with broccoli and sausage, the fall squash pizza, and the apple crumble. All excellent!
On top of that service was excellent and super friendly.
A must try for vegans!

Incredible food and lovely ambiance

The food here was outstanding and there was a great deal of choice. The Menu was centred on in season produce too. Highly recommend the tofu skewer and the mezze share plate.

Wildseed: A Unique Vegan Dining Experience with Room for Improvement

I recently dined at Wildseed, a fully vegan restaurant with a focus on seasonal dishes. The uniqueness of their offerings truly stands out, which is something I appreciate. While I would have gladly given them 4.5 stars if I could, I’ll round up to be generous.

As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of vegan cheeses, especially in the United States. Eager to explore this, I ordered dishes loaded with cheese for both the appetizer and main. However, I quickly regretted this decision after the first bite as the cheese flavor came off as somewhat chemical and made me feel queasy.

Fortunately, I was able to change my main course to something with less cheese, and that turned out to be a wise move. The dishes were delicious, but one notable hiccup was the timing of the courses. Our main courses didn’t arrive simultaneously, and the side dish meant to accompany them came out during the appetizer.

The restaurant was packed, and this seemed to leave little time for attentive service. On a positive note, the staff was exceptionally friendly. Given the price, the restaurant’s image, and the other reviews I’d read, my expectations were slightly higher than what was delivered. I believe that if they focus on improving the quality of service, timing, and overall dining conditions, Wildseed could truly be exceptional.

So Tasty and Elegant!

So nice to experience a fine dining all vegan restaurant with flavorful dishes. I had the corn cakes, and the spicy yellow curry (perfect choice for the chili SF evening). My delicious meal was complemented by the fresh watermelon soda and finished it off with the chocolate cake and decaf latte. Be sure to make a reservation!

Pros: Pizza and burgers and so much more, Elegant Ambience, Flavorful

Cons: None

Tasty vegetable-focused meals

I love going to places that aren’t just all impossible/beyond burgers. Their food is vegetable heavy so it feel really healthy and tasty. I got the corn cakes, the broccoli and mushrooms, and the tofu skewer

Pros: Healthy, Lots of vegetables

Cons: Expensive

Great, but inconsistent

I really enjoyed this place and had a great lunch. It was a little inconsistent (bowls were not as good as salads or sandwiches) but ultimately a great choice.
