Small range of Vegan options - Edit
Depending on the store you could pick up a slice of Vegan pizza from the hot food section, Vegan croissants from the bakery, chocolate from the confectionery area, etc. — managed to get croissants from this store.

For a bite to eat, go somewhere else in Tenleytown - Edit
I go to this WF a lot because it's the most conveniently located grocery store for me. But if you're looking to grab something to eat, I want to recommend you go somewhere else. Tenleytown has better options.
Read moreIf you want to get something from the salad bars, you'll probably be alright. But the hot stuff is hit or very miss. And I don't trust the staff at this location to know what's vegan. I once took a picture of a product with "vegan" in the title but with dairy cheese on the ingredients list, and I messaged the store. After awhile, someone got back to me to assure me they'd retrained the staff in prepared foods. I went back to the store and the same item was still on the hot foods bar, which a handwritten note highlighting that it contained almond milk, but dairy cheese was still an ingredient. After that day, I pretty much have given the side eye to anything in prepared foods.
Beefsteak is now open in Tenleytown, right next to this WF, and that's a good alternative. Your best bet in my opinion is Cava, which is a few blocks south on Wisconsin Ave., which is Mediterranean-ish fast food with vegan ingredients well-labeled. And while not as fast, you could also try Pete's Pizza a few blocks north on Wisconsin Ave. You can sub vegan cheese on any of their pizzas, which are delicious. Plus there are a variety of Indian, Thai, etc. restaurants that can do vegan.
Pros: Good as a grocery store
Cons: Prepared foods staff poorly trained on "vegan", Better fast options in the neighborhood

Convenient!!! - Edit
As far as I'm aware, this seems to be the only Whole Foods open until 10.00pm! While the extra hour may not be helpful to everyone, it is convenient at times! However, it is also right at the exit/entrance of the Tenleytown Metro, what could be more convenient? Lots of great selections and choices, even if the prices are a bit higher than some other local small co-ops and natural food style stores. Don't forget to bring your own grocery totes!

huge - Edit
This Whole Foods is HUGE! The bulk section could be bigger and only one kind of granola was without honey. But, this was definetly a nice Whole Foods to shop at. How awesome that the kids at American University live so close to it.
