Serves meat, vegan options available. Has lacto-veg suitable items and a few vegan options - ask to omit cheese. Gluten-free possible. Near the mouth of Zion National Park. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm.
I let the waitress know I was vegan and she gave me a great meal in return! The kitchen made me:
Tofu Tacos : full of flavor and crispy!
Rice and Beans : vegan and a lot of them!
Salad : all entrees come with a salad that has vegan cilantro dressing, super tasty and filling!
Even though the entree price was $20, I received a ton of food in return! They don’t skimp on the salad😄A must go if you are in the area!
very cute atmosphere, located right outside of zion entrance and has outdoor seating with a gorgeous view! has a very good, very large avocado salad that you can add tofu to. overall a very pleasant place!
I ordered the taco salad with tofu, and confirmed with them that it was vegan. I took my order to-go, and when I ate it later, I felt something very off and chewy in my mouth. When I spit it out, I realized it was beef. I looked throughout the salad and found several more pieces of beef mixed among the tofu. It seemed as if they first made it with beef, then when realizing it was supposed to be vegan, they attempted to pick out the beef and replace it with tofu (instead of just remaking it). It was completely unacceptable, especially after double checking with the kitchen to make sure no animal products were involved. By the way, this salad that I couldn’t eat was $20.
I was offered several options from the menu that could be veganized. My waiter recommended the burrito and that is what I ordered. Instead of meat they grilled tofu and veggies, excluded the cheese. It was very good and I have no problem recommending this restaurant. The only issue it is priced on the high side for a burrito.
Def a local fave. It’s in an old gas station and very casual. I had the Stuffed Avocado Salad with grilled tofu and I had them add black beans. The three dressing options are vegan: avocado vinaigrette, chipotle vinaigrette and red pepper vinaigrette. I had the avocado vinaigrette. Really, really good!
Whiptail Grill is a nice little place to relax and get tasty food. They had a few different vegan options that are unique (not just veggies) and delicious. The burrito was amazing and the tofu was very flavorful.
Surprisingly they don't offer mixed drinks or beer on tap, just bottled beer. They also don't have any vegan desserts.
This unassuming restaurant offered not only helpful service but delicious food. The guacamole was tasty and the sesame tofu wonderful. A worthwhile stop at the first shuttle stop outside Zion National Park in Springdale.
