amazing kebabs and burgers - Edit
Came here for lunch - the kebabs and burgers are absolutely incredible and taste just like the real thing! However, would not recommend the mac and cheese as it had no flavour and the peanut butter latte didn't work either. Overall, great place and highly recommended!

Very disappointed - would not recommend - Edit
They clearly state on their website they close the kitchen 7pm. I can by at 630 and they almost wouldn’t make me anything. Then the burger was cold. The burger and fish wrap were ...fine. Not nearly as good as the website or other reviews tout. But maybe the kitchen was lackluster due to closing. But the baked goods...the eclair is literally in a hot dog bun. That’s..just...lame!
Read moreThe baked good were a huge let down. If your a tourist passing through skip this place and go to Camden town and get amazing food.
Update - months later. Been vegan (or darn close to for months now) and travelled to multiple countries and this was by far the worst place I have been.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, sure, Food was meh
Cons: Baked good were not what they should be. , Seriously hot dog bun eclairs?

Round the corner from the station... - Edit
lives a quaint vegan cafe. The options are insane, the guy running it even said he has to stop himself adding others because it’s makes his job harder! I had the vegan breakfast - it comes with fried(?) seitan blobs, hash browns, beans, toast and mac and cheese (?!) Admittedly I’ve never had Mac and cheese with an English breakfast but they are two meals I love so why not together? My partner had the meatball sub, he isn’t vegan but it lasted 2 seconds and he was very impressed. We took an eclair and brownie to go - amazing desserts! On the way out I saw they do soya shakes too! Gutted I didn’t get to try one.
Read moreThe only downside was the lack of space and seating available. There’s only three small tables so you might find yourself sat with strangers or waiting outside. The guy is pretty popular so hopefully he expands! He joked he only got 1 or 5 star reviews so I’ve given 4 ;-)
Pros: All vegan, Great prices , Amazing choice
Cons: It is very popular (is that a con?)

Love it! - Edit
Always enjoy visiting Vx! Delicious food and comfortable place to hang out (indoors or outside). I had a Speculoos shake to drink and it was delicious! The all day breakfast is filling and large! I especially enjoyed the macaroni and cheese on the plate-very creamy sauce. Highly recommend!

Great hot drinks - Edit
This place is conveniently located near King's Cross so I make sure to stop by everytime I take the Eurostar. It's quite small but they have everything you need (especially if you're after comfort food). The food is quite nice and cheap, and I really loved their hot drinks. They have a variety of coffee toppings to choose from. Make sure to check them out!

Delicious vegan croissants...need I say more? I wish I would have bought more than one, so don't make the same mistake as me, order all of them!
Read moreNext time I will try their vegan comfort/junk food, which looked good.
I really liked that they sold vegan clothing items here. Though I felt the vegan grocery items sold here were sparse and didn't really constitute as a vegan shop. The main reason why I dropped by was to buy vegan food for my next stop to The Midlands (where I was going to be trapped for work) and didn't really find many options.

We have been here a few times over the last couple of years, handy for the station. Shame you can’t get 2 doughnuts into 1 box as otherwise it feels like a lot of plastic packaging. Eating there is better but allow time. Would love to see a couple more healthy or light options. The sandwiches and wraps can (like all junk food) lose texture and be slimy to eat.

Disappointing food but pretty good Desserts - Edit
As Vx is pretty close to Kings Cross, I decided to drop by to takeaway some vegan fast/junk food for my train ride. I had the weekend special: Blue Cheese Taco Bowl with Curly Fries & Popcorn Seitan [£6.00] – Tortilla Shell Howl filled with curly fries, popcorn seitan, tomato/cucumber chunks and vegan blue cheese dressing; Weekend Special: Curry Wurst [£5.50]; Mac n Cheese [£3.50]; Salted Caramel Brownie [£2.80].
Read moreThe blue cheese taco bowl was disappointing. The ratio of tortilla to toppings was not good. There was very little popcorn seitan, tomato and cucumbers in the tortilla with a generous topping of curly fries. There was barely any taste from the blue cheese dressing. There was a pretty good portion of the currywurst that was doused with sauce. – Nothing spectacular about it, just average vegan sausages (that had a mushy texture) with a tomato-BBQ-esque sauce and curry powder. The Mac n Cheese was disappointing as well, bland in taste, had a slight cheesy texture to it tho. The hefty slice of salted caramel brownie was actually pretty good – sweet and salty, also a nice fudgy texture to it and not too sweet as I expected it to be.
The place is small, so seating is very limited. Staff is nice, friendly and flexible to what you like. In my opinion, Vx is perfectly fine for a quick bite of cheap vegan junk food. The vegan cakes and sweets I tried were pretty good though. It’s also a plus that Vx sells some vegan grocery products as well (vegan sausages, mock meats, drinks, ice creams, cheese etc.) However, I wouldn’t purposefully make my way to this area just to eat at Vx with it's uninspired food because as much as I hate to give a low rating for a vegan place - I think I could whip up better Vegan junkfood just from pre-made vegan groceries.
Pros: Vegan Produce and Groceries, Vegan Baked Goods, Sweets and Cakes
Cons: Small Space with limited Seating, Lacklustre Food

Came here last night for an early dinner. We already found online that this place stops ordering at 7 and they close at 7.30. Stupidly I just wanted to try it out.
Read moreWe ordered nachos, ribs, quesadilla, mac&cheese and the seitan burger and we shared everything.
Everything was only adequate. This place is supposed to be one one the vegan landmarks in London but no idea why. Mac and cheese like not bad, ditto nachos and quesadilla but the burger I thought was actually awful. Chewy, tasteless - actually has to force it down. Only had one bite. The rest was either bland or too sweet.
I hate rating any vegan place poor but if the staff were really friendly and welcoming I would have rated it 3 but they just wanted us to get out. I apologised for us staying there past 7.30 but they didn’t respond. Will not return.
I went to Biff’s Jack Shack for lunch the same day and just everything was so tasty and so well prepared and Scrumptious... I guess that’s the reason I was so disappointed by this place in comparison.
Pros: Everything is vegan , Cheap
Cons: Food only average, Unfriendly staff

Pretty good - Edit
I've still not managed to get a meal at Vx, unfortunately it's a small place and when I've tried to get food the wait has been too long, and I'm usually in the area on business so can't wait around. The drinks are fab though, I like the peanut butter hot chocolate a lot. I like the eclair too although it is more of a stuffed iced bun, but still tasty. It's also worth popping in for the groceries as they have a good range of vegan cheeses and fake meats. Overall a nice place to go, just wish I could get some food one day because it looks good on other people's plates!

NICE - Edit
Ordered a quesadilla and a cola float. Cola float came with a paper straw - big plus - and was really delicious. The quesadilla was different than expected, more like a pizza kebab with sauce. I'd have preferred two tortillas with some cheese and stuff but this was still delicious. not the best food I ever had, but well. Prices are very reasonable, especially for that area. They have nice vegan stuff to buy as well (a lot of German stuff so a little bit boring for me as a bloody tourist, but I can definitely recommend the items - especially Fritz Cola!😄)

Shop is great, food less so. - Edit
Vx is a London institution and I feel very bad criticising anything they do - for years they imported a vegan offer that nobody else did. You can still buy a lot of products here that you can’t elsewhere and it’s well worth a visit for the London traveller.
Read moreHowever, I consistently find the food offer in the café disappointing. The low point for me was an “eclair” that was actually a savoury breadcake with icing on it. It’s a shame because their location is great and they could serve wonderful food. It also feels quite cliquey sometimes.
Pros: Lots of exciting import options, Central location
Cons: Café food is not great
