Cons: Restaurant is gesloten.

Very sweet staff and good atmosphere, tasty food

Dont be affraid to sit in the middle, the vibe is very cosy! The food is unpretentious and well done. Lovely staff that puts heart into the service.

Update: Went back a couple of times and the burgers were not always fully warm or fresh. I still support but not consistent in quality :)

Absolute afknapper

Pros: Niets

Cons: Zie omschrijving

Alright Burger Joint

Service was good but the food was lacking. I ate the portabello sandwich which had a dry slightly old bun, there was not much filling. The fries were pretty good and I enjoyed the option of having a vegan icecream.

Small adjustments could go a long way :)

I live just around the corner from Vurgur and was excited to see it open a few months ago. The first time me and my boyfriend tried two different burgers and the loaded fries with avocado and tempeh bacon.

We had big expectations and were slightly disappointed with the burgers which did not have that many toppings. The avocado on the loaded fries turned out to be guacamole, tasted like from a packet (on the menu now it has changed to guacamole instead of avocado I saw recently). We decided to wait a bit before trying again as it had only just opened when we visited the first time and as is often with new restaurants, things take time to start up.

We recently ordered a take away and now went for the kapsalon and kebab sandwich. Both were tasty and we were pleased, but we did miss some small ingredients that would go a long way! To both our donor kebab sandwich and the kapsalon we added some chopped tomato and some hot sauce at home. This made the dishes much better and I would highly recommend the owner to consider this small adjustment! The kapsalon and donor sandwich now only had garlic sauce and some mixed lettuce, so really could do with some more vegetables (tomato, cucumber, some red onions) and a hot sauce (automatically offered rather than having to ask for it).

Overall we enjoyed our last order, but are looking forward to seeing these few small adjustments in the future that will make the food even better! Good luck!

Pros: Good choice of burgers and meals, Tasty vegan cheeses used, good donor, The interior of the restaurant is beautiful

Cons: Donor and kapsalon could do with more toppings, Hot sauce could be offered , Burgers also need more toppings (not only lettuce)

Vurger Vegan restaurant

The staff is very friendly and the food is quite enjoyable. They have a variety of burgers. Tried several ones and liked all of them. The location is easy to reach. Prices are comparable to other vegan restaurants. They also do take away.

Pros: All vegan

I want this to be good, but it’s not (yet)

Came in early, so it was deserted. We had the curry spiced burger and the kapsalon.

The curry burger was over spiced, but luckily had fresh toppings to counter that a bit. It was served on a HUGE bun, which made it look odd. Of course the bun was hard to eat.

Everyone, all the way to the back, every burger joint where ever: SERVE PEOPLE FOOD THEY CAN EAT!

Would say the burger was a dry curry dish packed together with burger toppings on a crappy bun.

The kapsalon was ok. Nice fries, nice cheese, but the garlic sauce was too sweet for my taste. No hot sauce, that was a disappointment. And the kebab itself seemed not fried, almost microwaved-ish. Not good. Lots of different emotions about this dish. I was left a bit meh.

All in all it’s ok-ish, but not good. Yet. It is not as crazy expensive as VJFB for example, so that’s cool.

Thank you for your visit to our restaurant. We are now one month open and improving. People seem to forget that we are also 100% gluten free. I wish there were more options for vegan&GF bread, but there are almost no options. The bread we have is big, but it has a good taste. You might experience it as crappy but we get a lot if compliments about the bread?. The curry pattie might have been dry, sorry for that. We will be more careful. About the kapsalon, we dont use standard spicy sauce, but you could have just asked us for sriracha, easy! We dont microwave the doner, everything goes on the grill. We will keep on working on the points to get better in time. Thank you for your review.

not so good

We went very excited to the opening event of Vurger with very high expectations.

Unfortunately we discovered soon that we were mislead. Since it was opening night it was way too crowded which I don't blame them for but it gave me enough time to have a look at other's people food while I was waiting in line to order. The first thing I noticed were the burger buns. On the marketing images they show amazing looking different breads which look like whole grain, dark, tasty breads topped with different seeds. In reality they serve completely different buns which in my opinion don’t seem as tasty as the ones in the photos.

After we ordered our three meals, the meals were served one by one and the last one about 20 minutes after the first one. They seem to have forgotten about our order or something and they acted like this was no big deal and was completely normal. In general the staff didn't treat the guests as guests but more like people that were eating in a school cafeteria. They should be a lot more polite.

The burgers themselves lacked flavor and toppings and were very dry. There was almost no sauce on it and you get about half of the toppings compared to the marketing photos. Also the toppings are very different than those on the photos. My "spicy" Mexican burger was not spicy at all. They also didn't serve any sauce with the oily fries and they didn't give any cutlery so you had to eat the burger and fries with hands as if you're at McDonald's.

Perhaps we'll come back a few months later to see if things have improved as I love good burger bars and I'll update this review and my rating but right now everything is very disappointing and I'm afraid I can give no more than 2 stars.

Cons: lack of flavor in food, bad service, deceiving marketing photos

Dear Lammert, I'm the owner of Vurger. I'm sorry that your experience at our place was disappointing, we did our best due to the circumstances, the place was packed! It was our first day, perfection could not be expected, we were nervous, we still don't have the speed and of course, we made mistakes, like forgetting an order or taking too long to make it. I would like to comment about a couple of things. The bread: you say that we have chosen a cheap version. That is not true at all. We decided a couple of weeks ago to go 100% GF, and this bread is not cheap and to be a GF bread it tastes really good. it was really difficult to find a bakker that would make vegan and GF bread for us. It doesn't look like in the pictures, correct, the shoot was made in june?We don't serve standard knives&forks with the burgers, correct, we do have them, we serve them with the salad and other dishes. we hand them out if customers ask for it, no problem at all. One thing I really can not accept from your comment is that people were treated in a bad way, we did our best due to the circumstances. We offered many drinks without charge as we knew that it was taking to long, the kitchen was overloaded. About your food/taste review, taste is different for all of us. I heard a lot of people telling me about how tasty the burgers and other dishes were..... I'm sorry that your experience was not as you expected. Your review hurts a little as Vurger is my baby and I cook personally all the burgers, I will pay much more attention. Hopefully, we see you next time and we can make you happy.
