Good Thai Food - Edit

Almost everything at Vida's can be made vegan just by subbing tofu for meat. The staff is always nice. The food is prepared quickly. And the dining room is cozy.

Pros: Many vegan options, Friendly staff, Good location

Cons: Can be expensive

delicious food, great space, super staff - Edit

I am new to Homer and many local people have raved about Vida's. Vida's menu includes many items that are clearly labeled vegetarian, but upon inquiry the owner/ chef explained that those items can still be made with fish sauce. However, the server was very helpful and patient in asking questions of the chef, who offered to make a special side curry without fish sauce for a meal. The dish appeared small, but was deceivingly filling, and very delicious. I would definitely eat at Vida's again, despite the misleading menu representations.

UPDATE: Vida's moved to a Main Street location, which is very bright and open, and now all the curry sauces on the curry page of the menu are made WITHOUT fish sauce, and are vegan unless you order a meat for a protein. I ordered the green curry with brown rice and tofu and a salad with peanut sauce recently, and it was delicious and filling! I'm psyched for the vegan-friendly changes, and the continued stellar service. The new space is bright and welcoming.
