Beautiful garden, tasty food - Edit
The place is super cozy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful quite garden, enough shadow for hot summer days and good music.
Read moreWe visited twice and got beyond sausage with purée, beyond meatballs with purée and fried rice with mushrooms and veggies — everything was delicious. Great texture and flavor, good portion size (idk why people complain that it’s small, for my taste it’s just perfect. And I like to eat!).
We also got a crepe and a cheesecake for dessert. I didn’t really like it, the crepe had a funny texture, cheesecake was ok but was too sour and didn’t taste like cheesecake at all. My boyfriend liked the crepe tho :)
Highly recommend to order some kombucha here, the best one I ever had.
A big disappointment for me was to find this restaurant I considered vegan actually serves eggs for branches. Like several hours a day it’s ok to abuse animals to get some animal products for dinner 🤦🏽♀️ it’s mentioned that “free range eggs” are used but for me it sounds the same as “free range chicken/meat” and it’s obviously not vegan. If I knew it’s not fully vegan beforehand I wouldn’t visit more than once to support more local vegan business.
Pros: Delicious main dishes , Beautiful garden, relaxed vibe, Very helpful staff members
Cons: Not 100% vegan , Not so good desserts, Tricky opening hours

hi Leah.
Read moreThank you for your review. Dana here - I'm the one who launched verv kitchen. The place is actually meant to help romanians get closer to a healthy diet (for the planet & for them): that includes veganism - we strongly believe that this is by helping them, 1 step at a time & definitely not by criticizing them for not being vegan.
We've been working on attracting people towards veganism for almost a year now, in a principally meat-eater country. This includes listening to them - & listen we did. We added 2 vegetarian dishes for brunch only - this gets them through the door & they try veganism, maybe even for the 1st time ever (separate section, separate pan, etc).
FYI, the texture of the crepes is like that because we're a gluten free restaurant.

There was no reason to mark it as “vegan” in the app anyway 🤷🏽♀️

Charming place, pricey dishes - Edit
Beautiful garden and decor, a hidden vegan place we did not expect to find so close from our airbnb. The dishes offered are creative, all vegan, some using beyond meat, love the Bucharest is evolving in the area of vegan food. I got the sausage with mashed potatoes and it was very tasty. The omelette was somewhat undercooked and the flavors did not work great together. The hazelnut crepes were delicious, the portions are average size.

Cons: Prices are high, Dishes may need rework to improve but worth a try!

Nice looking place, but disappointing cuisine - Edit
The place is really beautiful with a great garden and beautiful inside. The decor is great.
Read moreBut the kitchen was disappointing. The vegan omelette didn’t taste good and the raw cheesecake looked awful and had a bland taste.
The homemade lemonade was good though.
All in all, they do deserve the effort to go and test the place of you are close.

Great vegan place - Edit
I eat here from time to time. They have a lovely atmosphere & a beautiful garden. The food is fully vegan (not sure why this place appears as vegetarian) & very tasty. The drinks are also amazing & the desserts are the best thing to eat there. The menu is zero added sugar and gluten-free, which is a plus for me.
Read moreThe prices are average for the market, good for me given that they use mainly organic ingredients.
The menu is always updated on their website, which is comfortable for me.
Pros: Fully vegan menu, Great drinks, Amazing garden

Very good all vegan restaurant - Edit
Verv had very good food, excellent service and a lovely ambience. The place is also very affordable - our tasty noodle dish, enjoyable beyond meat-balls and potato dish, two bottles of water, and an alcoholic beverage only came to ~ 160 leu (~$36 US). Everything on the menu is 100% vegan despite what some other reviewers have said (e.g. the so-called “omlettes” are made with a vegan alternative).

Lovely place - Edit
Service was good and staff very attentive, the place had a lovely atmosphere.
Read moreHad hummus starter with crackers which was absolutely delicious. Then a cauliflower cheese soup which was thick and delicious also a lentil soup which was watery and not hot.
Mains was sausage and beans which again was just luke warm and couldn’t find any sausage in it but tasted nice. Also curry which only had carrots and peppers but was tasty and hot.
Followed by a chocolate, banana, hazelnut pancake which was devine.
Pros: Evening menu all vegan , Good service, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Luke warm food , Pricey

Not vegan, some dishes contain eggs - Edit
Staff was friendly and spoke English.
Read moreWe had a hummus dish and creamy scrambled veggs, as well as one of the pancakes.
All of the dishes were very tasty.
The prices were pretty high but I think it's worth it.
According to the menu some of the dishes contain eggs, so the vegan label is misleading.

Delicious healthy comfort food - Edit
A cosy outdoor restaurant (we sat in the garden which is a place with big trees, wooden chairs and swings) with good music and great vegan food! We had their homemade kombucha (they have many different flavours including blueberry, sour cherry, and many other combinations), their coconut ginger curry and the stir fry. For starters we had a traditional Romanian dish with zacusca and ajvar (Serbian dip).

Super cosy place - Edit
Lots of options and a very nice atmosphere - Verv is situated in a tiny court area just far enough from the street to give a little shelter from the city life. It has a calm atmosphere, and the staff were very welcoming. The kitchen doesn't use much salt (you can add more if you wish) which can be nice for some people who like more mild flavouring. They also have some really nice drinks available.
Read moreMy only gripe was that the portions were just a bit too small, I had a starter and a main course and still wanted to eat a little more. Won't stop me from coming back though, next time I'll just order an extra side of rice.
Overall a very nice experience and will come back if I find myself in Bucharest again!

High-quality, homemade food - Edit
As a vegan, I'm tired of running into vegan places which only serve burguers, fries and so. Verv kitchen is nothing like that, they have a broad menu of healthy, homemade dishes. Everything I tried was great, I even ordered they homemade cola and it was amazing. The place is great as well, a historical building with a lot of charm.

Cosy (but pricey) place - Edit
Verv kitchen was my second stop on my hunt for vegan restaurants in Bucharest. The food was good, but didn’t impress me though, and the prices are way too high for the amount of food that you get. I understand the concept of the restaurant, but it was a bit too much in my opinion. I had the vegetable curry with basmati rice and Plan B Malt me up beer (very good one!). Staff was helpful and explained the whole system, but again, I wasn’t impressed. They do have a very nice atmosphere and the garden is really nice and quiet.

the owner is super friendly and like to speak and the staff is good too.
Read morei tried the lentil soup but it was unfortunately too creamy for me.
but the bad thing is that there was no menu at all. so people without smartphone cannot order anything.
if u read this then please add a paper menu even if you change dishes often.
the owner had to explain every dish which made it harder.
they are excused because the owner is super friendly but paper menu for next time thanks :)

I don’t even have words to describe this place! We had the nicest experience, the staff was the kindest, everyone was so sweet and welcoming, not to mention how cozy the restaurant is! Now let’s talk about the rockstar menu they have, the broccoli cheese soup is out of this world, so creamy, cheesy, tasty and delicious! It was exactly what we needed after a long journey.
