Update: Went back, and sadly the quality has taken a real dive. The salad in the falafel bowl was now the most uninventive I have experienced. A really sad development. (Originally gave it five stars, now wouldn't go again).
Read more(Earlier review: Few falafel places have peanut sauce, so it's a major plus when they do, and the falafel itself is also well-seasoned. In addition, Vegi is inventive with their sauce options more generally (aubergine-veg sauce, hummus of the day etc.), which is lovely. Very friendly service as well.)

Best Falafel in town! - Edit
Those are the best falafel in town with a variety of different sauces/dips and a nice atmosphere to sit and eat. They also offer vegan cake/desserts.

We happened to find this place by accident after visiting the castle and despite not having a reservation, there was space. I ate the vegan potato casserole, which even had vegan feta and was very delicious. It looked a little small to me at first but I felt full at the end.

Wir sind beim Schlendern einfach zufällig auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen und ich war sehr positiv überrascht. Obwohl es Falafel-Fachgeschäft heißt, gab es einige nicht-Falafel-Gerichte. Ich habe den veganene Kartoffelauflauf gegessen und er war sehr lecker, selbst veganer Feta war dabei. Ich hab leider nicht aktiv darauf geachtet wie viele nicht-vegane Gerichte es gab und die aktuelle Karte nicht fotografiert, aber mir ist nichts aufgefallen, was nicht vegan war. Also gehe ich davon aus, dass der Großteil des Essens dort vegan ist.
Pros: Delicious food, Good atmosphere, got a place without reservation, card-payment possible

Read moreMein erster Besuch, seitdem der Betreiber des Vegis wechselte. Man kann immer noch viele vegane Gerichte auf der Karte finden, darunter sie bekannten Falafelvariationen, Kebap und veganes Tartar. Auch die üblichen Heißgetränke und veganen Kuchen gibt es nach wie vor :).
Heute bestellte ich einen Kebap mit veganem Chicken und einen Cappuccino mit Hafermilch, dazu Wasser und einen veganen Cheesecake mit Himbeeren. Alles schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Das Chicken war super gewürzt und kross gebraten, die Sauce auf dem Kebap war sehr lecker und schön cremig. Der Kuchen war ein Traum😍.
Der Service war ebenfalls top.

This was my first visit since the owner of Vegi changed. You can still find many vegan dishes on the menu, including the popular falafel variations, kebabs and vegan tartare. The usual hot drinks and vegan cakes are also still available :).
Today I ordered a kebab with vegan chicken and a cappuccino with oat milk, water and a vegan cheesecake with raspberries. Everything tasted great. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and crispy fried, the sauce on the kebab was very tasty and creamy. The cake was a dream😍.
The service was amazing.

Super süßes Restaurant, modern gemacht. Die meisten Speisen sind vegan, noch dazu alles super lecker! Nehmt unbedingt einen der tollen veganen Kuchen, der Geschmack ist unfassbar gut (sehr zu empfehlen: Apfelkuchen, cheesecake)! Tolles Personal - Wir waren sehr gerne hier 🫶🏼

This place is very well known among people from Tübingen and if you're in the city you should definitely check it out. Their falafel is insanely good! Although we had some struggles eating the döner-like food, it was fun because it was that messy (so maybe not a good idea for a first date). The fries were delicious too! Totally recommend this place :)

The "Falafelfachgeschäft" Vegie really has superb Falafel. They can be combined with different dips. Everything is freshly made and the proce is okay. The small restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Last but not least the staff was friendly.

Read moreWith the fries… it surely depends. They look like sweet potato fries (but are normal ones) because - staff told me - they fry it longer to make them crispier. Not such a big fan of that, it feels like they get crispy, but hollow inside and kind of “over”-fried.
But maybe that’s just taste-preference.
The mixed salad was solid. Instead of feta-cheese, I got (one) falafel to make it vegan.

Das Vegi in Tübingen ist in der Altstadt gelegen und hat einen rustikalen Charme. Zum Essen gibt es dort überwiegend Falafel. Der Falafel schmeckt sehr gut, das Brot dazu ist aber sehr zäh und hart. Die Soßen sind selbstgemacht, aber es fehlt die Raffinesse. Die Pommes sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen, da selbst gemacht. Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren sehr nett und trotzdem eignet sich das Vegi eher, wenn man schnell einen Falafel auf die Hand möchte.
