Delicious - Edit
I got a medium dish (2 proteins, 2 sides) with chicken drumsticks, a curry protein (goat?) thing, mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. All great. This place can be so quick because everything’s hot and ready. Line out the door when I was there around 7pm on a weeknight, but it moved quickly. Too bad I don’t live in Queens. Really hit the spot.

You simply cannot go wrong with anything on the menu at Veggie Castle! Their BBQ wings and mac and cheese are out of this world. All of the patties are great options, and their made to order burgers and sandwiches are also top of the vegan game. An affordable vegan paradise!!!

Best vegan comfort food you’ll ever find - Edit
Every single thing I get here is better than the next (other than the Philly cheesesteak bc it’s mushroom based and I hate mushrooms). There is a whole menu of food outside of the food bar in front- burgers, chopped cheese, Jamaican patties and more. Their desserts come from Vegan Treats (Pennsylvania). One of my all time favorite places to eat

Food is amazing - Edit
I read some good reviews and the food looked amazing but how did it taste ? Well finally made the trip and my God was it worth it. The mushroom burger was huge and filled with so many incredible flavors. I had to really dig I to it to make sure it wasn't actual beef inside. I also tried a bunch of the hot food and it was all incredible. I wish it was in a better location because parking is non existent and the place is very tiny.

Great food, crappy customer svc - Edit
So, this is my 3rd time here & I wanted to make sure that I visited more than once before giving a review to make sure that I was giving an accurate review, based on my overall experience. If it were based on customer service alone, I would’ve given only one star and this is why I visited 3 times before reviewing. The customer service experience is brash, extremely rushed & doesn’t seem to have ANY “caring” value whatsoever. Which, despite how busy you are makes a huge difference to me, no matter where I go. Because they make you feel like you’re a pain in the a** if you don’t blurt out your order fast enough, it almost makes it not worth even bothering with this establishment because you feel like a burden or a bother rather than an appreciated or valued customer. IF it weren’t for the quality of the food. (Remember the Soup N*zi on Seinfeld? That’s what you’re dealing with here) I wouldn’t ever come back & I say this in the hopes that these folks will get their act together on the customer service side so that they can be SUPER SUCCESSFUL & grow & be an INVITING place where more people will want to come & try their food, feel appreciated & KEEP COMING BACK. So the food, is really good particularly the “BBQ chik’n drumsticks” probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere & I’ve been a hard core Vegan for 8 years - EXCELLENT! The ginger “meat” soy curls (?) are fantastic, super flavorful, & super filling, the rice is great & so are the green beans - YUUUM! Excellent - stick with the medium option of 2 proteins/ 2 sides & you won’t go wrong. Now on to the “Philly cheese steak” - this made me really mad & here’s why: So, you’ve got a restaurant that absolutely has great flavor & KNOWS how to cook great vegan food (specifically those ginger vegan soy curls/Mongolian “beef” type dish) and then the make a “Philly cheesesteak” and all they put on the bread are mushrooms, peppers, onions & vegan cheese NO “meat” ALL BREAD & what maybe $1.00 worth of veggies & nothing that resembles a Philly cheesesteak & they charge you almost $9.00 for it? GTFOH! They could’ve easily done the same with their soy curl “meat” & added the “Better Than Bullion No Beef Base” seasoning & added THAT to their empty sandwich & have a HUGE HIT with something that actually REALLY tastes like a meat Philly Cheesesteak! WTH? They are absolutely cutting corners & again deficient when it comes to that “caring” value. Make those 2 changes & this place is THE BEST Vegan spot in all of Queens!
Read morePros: BBQ chikn drumsticks “meat” proteins variety , Juice bar , Desserts

I love their food - Edit
Truthfully my favorite restaurant to eat at. Every time I want food, the variety that they have is very satisfying. I usually have a taste for sauteed or steamed veggies and they have both of these as well as a lot more. Its also close to home. I really Really hope they open another one closer to me and soon.

Love This Restaurant, Try This Place Out! - Edit
So I'm someone whose comes here a lot over the years, and since I have, I've noticed that this place has its good and not so good days. For example, their Mac n Chz is usually really great, but every now and then, taste bland. Their plantains and black lentil patties, on the other hand, aren't usually the best, but sometimes they're superb. Regardless I love this place. They have a large selection of usually great food, friendly service, lovely beverages (they have a smoothie for everything), tasty desserts, and a dining room. In addition to this, this place is owned by a very popular restaurant called Sybil's, located next door. Sybils has a selection of real meat dishes for your meat eating friends so really, this location is very accommodating. If you have a chance, give Veggie Castle a try, I'm sure you'll love it.
Read moreUpdate:
They have been changing their menu a lot lately. They have added a lot of new burgers such as a Philly cheese steak, a pulled jackfruit burger, and even serve the impossible burger now. They also have now added bread crumbs on top of their mac n cheese, I don't think that this has necessarily improved their recipe in any way, but at least they are trying out new things. Veggie Castle also used to have an additional location in Brooklyn, and ever since that location closed down, this location has been very packed. I don't necessarily like this at all, I recommend ordering your orders in advance instead of within. I also just recently tried their raw, soy free vegan cheesecakes in the flavors of strawberry and S'more and OMG, they are amazing. From what I'd imagine, they taste like the real thing which may seem pretty unbelievable, but it's true. You've got to give them a try.

So good - Edit
My non-vegan family were thrilled with their food! My husband was confused about the “meat” he was eating and my veg leaning daughter was enamored of the bbq “chicken”. Veggies were fresh (if a little greasy), mac and cheese was creamy and delish and desserts were seriously decadent. Give this place a try.

This is the place to go to get all the food you miss since becoming vegan: Mac n cheese, drumsticks, jerk chicken, etc... but veganized! Unfortunately, I hate the taste of meat and don’t miss one bit of it, so I had no interest in most of those items and can’t attest to them. The Mac n cheese was AMAZING. Best I’ve ever had. I also had the ginger chicken. It didnt really remind me of chicken, which for me is good because I wouldn’t have liked it , but it was a little chewy which I didn’t love. The flavor was great though. All of their sides are amazing.
