Open late on weekends. Previously vegan, reported using some dairy March 2017. Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-8:30pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-9:30pm, Sun 12:00pm-5:00pm. Open holidays 12-5pm.

Showed up at 19:30 for a party of 5. Took a while to get service. Ordered the pitcher of hibiscus lemonade which we highly recommend. Forget the nachos that came with three sauces, one of them cream color horrid. The hummus was served with undercooked bread patties, some feeble attempt to homemade pita we surmised. The hamburgers were very towering and filling as advertised but nothing special and served with potato chips... Dogs welcomed on the terasse. If you are hungry, good place to go, not if you are in an hurry or looking for amazing taste.

Read moreAlthough the entree-salad and the soup were a bit disappointing, today's main course (thai rice) was actually quite a good. The dessert was ok.
So, 3 out of the 4 courses could have been better with not much effort.. but hey, its 100% vegan, and the atmosphere is quite calm and somehow refreshing.
I definitely recommend it (but with cautioned expectations).

I had the lunch set menu, which was soup, a drink, a grilled wrap kind of enchilada with salad and two biscuits for dessert, all for 11,500 pesos (I think). I was so full after and it was delicious. I sat outside, staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend:)

They have a large choices of dishes, burgers, pizza, nachos, wraps, pastas, empanadas, flan and so on... Everything is well presented.
Read morePrice are moderate. About 10$ for a complete meal from the set menu. They also propose a lunch of the day.
The only thing I could reproach is when I went there, all I ordered first wasn't dispnible (lack of ingredients).
The location is a bit out of the beaten track.

by far the best vegan food in the city, and the only 100% vegan eatery as well. i was in town for four nights, and had dinner at vegarden every night. the combo burger is gigantic and full of flavor. they also have a few dessert options with vegan ice cream. good take away items too!

the dinner menu has many choices. too bad you missed out, everything i've had from that menu has been delicious. i haven't had lunch at vegarden, maybe that's the fixed menu you speak of? but i can tell you, after 6pm, the menu is varied.

I went here for lunch and got the menu del dia for $10000 COP. This included a soup, main, desert and juice. The quality was excellent and I enjoyed my meal very much. They also sell things like vegan veggie patties and tomales. I also bought some of these to take away and cook myself. I got a little bit lost going there (which is more of a street numbering thing than anything else). But it is just off the main road (Carrera 80) where all the shops are. Look out for the pedestrian overpass over Carrera 80 and you will find it.

I didn't eat at Vegarden's cafe (which looked delicious! Just ran out of time), but I did shop at there little store! They have lovely little organic products, organic avena milk, oatmeal ice cream (delicious! I got the arequipe-carmel flavored!), tofu, vegan burgers, etc.

Read moreLocated in the residential area of Villa de Aburra, right between Belen and Laureles, it's easy to reach from the swanky Los Molinos Mall or from 33rd with its bars and discos. The restaurant itself is set back a bit and features a super bacán outdoor seating area perfect for watching life go by in this typical, tourist-free Medallo barrio. Across the street from a park and a safe neighborhood to walk around in.
The food is fantastic; as far as I can tell, this is the only truly vegan restaurant in the city at the moment. Fantastic creative fusion, great sandwiches, mock meat dishes specials, unique juices, and regional surprises. They also have a small shop with high quality natural foods and offer a nice cross-selection of products from the growing local natural community including vegan brownies and chocolates.
It's very convenient if you're staying near Laureles, but otherwise you still owe it to yourself to take a taxi out here (you could also go to Parque Belen and walk from there), and get to know this side of the city. Open late on weekends, and from 9 a.m. in the morning starting February 2012. Very highly recommended!
