Nettes Restaurant, das einzige rein vegane Restaurant in Madeira, welches wir natürlich unterstützen wollten! Die Burger werden mit verschiedenen, hausgemachten Bratlingen serviert. Die Pommes sind keine Tiefkühlware, top! Es gibt auch Salate, verschiedene Pasta und einige andere Gerichte. Die Preise sind fair, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zum Nachtisch gab es leckeren Caramel-Kuchen.

A place to get a drink and dessert - Edit
Over all if you love burgers, chips, ketchup and mayonnaise than you'll probably like this place, if you have a more refined savory palette I wouldn't recommend it. I desperately wanted some mustard for my chips and they didn't have any and I can't stand creamy and mayonnaise and I like spicy. I would just come for the desserts, they were worth it.
Read moreThe chips and dips were small and not a great or exciting flavor. The falafel was dry and I wasn't keen on the creamy dip. The burger and chips were decent but without mustard or anything spicy to put on it I wasn't excited, it was very stodgy. Of the savory dishes the best thing was the mushrooms, they were very juicy and had the most flavor.
My picture of the dessert isn't quite fair as it was from the next day after we took it home and it got crushed, it looked amazing in the shop. The desserts were the best thing here. We had the lime and chocolate tarts and they were rich, creamy and really good.

Cons: no mustard, bit pricey could use more flavour

The Service was very good, fast and friendly. I had a Bowl and a Smoothie. The bowl was a little disappointing, chickpeas came directly from the Glas, no oil or spices like the rest of the vegetables in the bowl. Tahin was very sticky and chewy. The tofu was good.

All Vegan Menu - Edit
The one and only Restaurant in Funchal listed as pure Vegan at Happy Cow. Friendly staff, good food - and coffee, too. We went there today the first time but I am sure, it won't be the last. After enjoying several meals there - like bowl in a heaven, several burgers, smoothies and cakes - I just can say, that the first impression was right. Everything was very delicous. Great Restaurant.

I visited first in January with my non vegan sister. We had 2 burgers and halved them- both delicious.

We also had bread and soup. The soup was really good.
The dessert was okay - ice nice but the apple tart had a weird after taste. We also had a green juice - yummy

We had the Happy Salad Bowl and the Protein Salad Bowl. So glad we took 2 so we could share. Very fresh and tasteful, especially the tofu in the Happy Bowl. They were not 'normal salads' but really well spiced, filling salad bowls. The white wine (per glass) was also good.

Choosing the right dish makes all the difference - Edit
I visited this place 4 times whilst staying in Lido. It was a 5 minute walk away from my accommodation which was very fortunate. Each visit was quite different. The restaurant has different menu for the daytime and a different menu for the evening. First visit, I went for the burger and chips and was relieved to be eating a vegan (and gluten free) meal but underwhelmed by the burger though really enjoyed the chips; I had it without the bread which may have been a factor. Perhaps sourcing gluten free bread would help overcome this.
Read moreSecond visit I had the Happy Bowl which was absolutely delicious - the tofu was marinated with wonderful flavours and there was a lovely chickpea and onion salad which was scrumptious - felt very nourished. Third visit was an evening visit as I really wanted to try the vegan mushroom risotto - it was one of the best risottos I’ve ever had! Last visit was a pit stop for a Happy Bowl takeaway which had a different combination (beans and onion with tofu, salad and brown rice) but was equally tasty. I tried a delicious chocolate coated gluten free cookie on my second visit which was scrumptious!
The service is fine. Some staff brilliant and very warm whilst a couple come across as a little reserved. The decor is lovely with some really cute touches. Very clean and modern looking.
Prices are average, edging towards being pricey. I will definitely visit again if we return to Madeira

Delicious Food & All Vegan, Friendly Staff - Edit
Came here a few months ago. Had the "Be kind" burger (with cheese) that came with some fries and the "Sunflower" smoothie, both were absolutely delicious. Had someone else with me who had the lentil bolognese and the same smoothie, they also agreed the food was delicious. I had made a reservation and had mentioned in passing that it was my birthday, well at the end of my meal they surprised me with a slice of chocolate cake with some candles on it and even put on a little birthday song for me on the speakers, it was so sweet of them (I was not charged for the slice of cake of course). It was a great experience all-around.

Die Überschrift sagt es bereits. Leider ist das Vegan Mundo der einzige Veganer auf Madeira. Das macht ihn aber nicht besser. Essen war ok aber ich habe auf Madeira an anderer Stelle einen besseren Burger als den Umami Burger gegessen. Mein Mann hatte den Chiliburger und war auch nur mäßig begeistert. Dafür waren unsere Smoothies sehr lecker und die Location (industrial Style mit viel Grün) ist sehr schön.

Mundo Vegan is the only fully vegan place in Madeira. The place is quite nice but during our visit there was not very pleasant smell (from the fryer?) Their menu includes some starters, burgers, bowls, pasta and some desserts. We tried soup of the day (legume soup), umami and parisian burgers, heaven in a bowl, snickers cake and vegan cheesecake. Everything tasted good but not great if you know what I mean. Probably the most delicious thing was their cheesecake. #Veganuary

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We had the tagliatelle carbonara and the tagliatelle with saffron, broccoli and chickpeas. The portions were big, so it’s a full meal! We couldn’t resist the deserts though: chocolate mousse cake with pistache and a cinnamon bun. Both heavenly delicious! Thumbs up for the great service: really friendly and welcoming staff and great English. Thanks for this nice experience!
