Delicious healthy feast! - Edit
This dinner was so good after a week of eating rubbish. We got two purple power juices (yum), the carbonara and the pistachio gnocchi. I liked the gnocchi the best. We also got a delicious Greek salad which I'm hoping to recreate at home!

Leider habe ich das Restaurant erst vom letzten Tag meines Urlaubs entdeckt. Das Essen war fantastisch. Alles war großartig. Ich konnte mich kaum entscheiden. So viel super Auswahl hatten sie dort.

Lovely place - Edit
It’s nice that there is a fully vegan place on the island with quite some options. Enjoyed the food. Staff was nice but not the most fluent in English and quite slow. We were sitting outside already over 15 minutes before they asked for our order. Once we had ordered service was good again though (so Kitchen was quite quick). Our mains came quickly after we finished our starters.

Yay for VEGAN restaurants - Edit
We arrived as soon as they opened for dinner. Within 30 min the whole place was full with walkins on a Thursday.
Read moreThere is a NEED for more vegan places!
I had the vegan carbonara (my favorite before waking up and going vegan), hubs had the vegan lasagna, and we ordered our son plain pasta with garlic and olive oil. The pasta came with a small salad which was needed to cut through the richness.
My pasta was mid. But filled me up. Prior reviews said it taste so close to the real thing so my expectations were unfairly higher than they should’ve been.
The lasagna was very beany in flavor for me but my hubs enjoyed it. Nothing about it was lasagna in flavor only the layering.
My son loved his pasta.
We ordered cinnamon rolls the brownie and a cream type cake.
Those were delicious
We’re going back for lunch.

Amazing menu - Edit
Loved the menu and options. Service was friendly, but not very personal. The dishes were fine, but in our opinion not really special. Happy that the place exists, so for that all the appreciation!

Loved it! - Edit
Had to get an Uber to visit here from my hotel but it was worth it to eat at what i believe is the only vegan only restaurant in the area/possibly the island?!?
Read moreI messaged them on Instagram to book so may be wise to do if you are planning a visit.
Drinks wise, they had a homemade Kombucha option that was nice.
I had the garlic bread from the starters menu but asked for it as a side to the Veganbonara. I dont normally choose pasta when eating out but it sounded lovely. Both were good.
My partner had the Umami burger, he's not vegan but said it was ok!
Then it came to desserts! I am a big dessert lover and was spoiled for choice with 4 options rather than the usual 1 or 0! We ordered both of the cheesecakes, the berry one was the better one. Also, got a takeaway of the Biscoff cinnamon bun because it was my birthday after all! Ate it the day after and it was ok but didn't quite live up to my expectations.

They have many dishes, including starters and daily cake specials. We took bruschetta heaven as a starter, both Pasta and the Pistachio Chocolate cheese cake for dessert!

Only fully vegan in Funchal - Edit
I really enjoyed it here. True, what I really wanted was something authentically Portuguese or Madeiran, but I've yet to find a veganised version of anything here. So, with a limited menu due to them closing for holidays soon, I had the hummus to start, and the lasagne for main. As someone who has eaten many a vegan ragu in Italy, I was dubious about this one, but was very pleasantly surprised. Very rich and tasty. The house white wine was good too.

Tasty highlight in Funchal - Edit
After a few days of looking for real vegan dishes in other places we were really happy to find this restaurant. From the large variety of starters and main dishes we chose traditional garlic bread first. From the mains we chose the sea rainbow bowl, Spaghetti carbonara and two different burgers. As a dessert we received a cinnamon role and a chocolate cupcake. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. No wishes remains and we would always be back in a minute.

Good food but a bit pricey - Edit
We were quite excited to try out this place as it seems to be the only vegan place on Madeira. We had a mushroom burger and the lasagne which were both good but we would have hoped to try something different and maybe traditional Madeiran, which was missing. We were thinking of dishes with bananas or banana blossom since it's an island full of tasty bananas.

We visited Mundo Vegan for dinner and were very happy with the offered options. We went for risotto and gnocchi and both were very delicious. The prices are a bit on the higher end but the quality of the food is also very good. For dessert they offer various cakes and ice cream. Indoor and outdoor seating are very nice!

Amazing vegan cafe - Edit
The staff are delightful and as was all the food. Highly recommend! They also provided a baby seat for those of you with wee kids. Great coffee too. Loads of options too, so I think there'd be something to suit everyone - salads, smoothies, burgers, pasta, Buddha bowls etc.
