Read moreVegan Joes is a lovely new restaurant in Loule.It is welcoming,the staff are kind and friendly and they all speak perfect English.They are happy to take time to talk to you and to explain the menu.
The food is delicious,prepared with great care. And reasonably priced.
Everything is home made.A varied choice of about 4 starters and 4 main dishes.We ate a tasty lasagna plus a regional dish,adapted to become vegan.Both highly recommend .lovely wines and dress juices.
Can't wait to return!!

the food in this restaurant is all home made and sooo tasty (although my friend chose the chilli sin carne which was flavourful but not at all spicy). The portions are really generous and even though I shared my starter (olive and sun dried tomato hummus) I still didn’t have space for dessert after my tofu burger)! .The atmosphere is calm and the staff friendly and relaxed. I did taste a dessert (couldn’t resist!) of coffee 'cheesecake', sublime. I love visiting Loulé, and now I even more reason to go.

We happened to be in Loule for the day. Found this restaurant on happycow and had lunch here. We chose the Portuguese shepherd's pie from the menu which also came with a salad and we had herbal tea. The menu changes weekly, and there are several items to choose from. Both the food and service were great. We are not planning another trip to Loule but if we did we'd definitely come back to eat here.

The starters were nice (“mozzarella cheese” with tomato and polenta chips) but the mains were not so tasty as I expected. The curry didn’t have any sauce and didn’t taste like a real curry. The tofu balls with tagliatelle were ok, but tasteless.

Great vegan food at great prices - Edit
We have already come back 5 times since we love the food, environment, people and great prices. Food feels like home cooked meals, deserts are delicious and can bring our dog inside as well!

How best to show our appreciation than continuing to come back? That's what we'll do!

We ordered four starters to share, as well as mains and desserts. All of the dishes were delicious and the entire meal cost far less than I expected - great, inexpensive prices.

Delicious, fresh food served in a contemporary environment. Short menu giving enough options. Fast, friendly service. Reasonably priced. Lovely calm environment with a nice selection of books to browse. We tried a tofish burger and an aubergine lasagne, both were delicious. Would have loved to try more courses but we were short of time.

The menu changes every week, we've been there tonight for the first time and I have to say that everything was on par with the best vegan restaurants I've been to. I would definitely recommend - if available - the vegan haloumi, that despite tasting nothing like the original, is one of the best and most indulging vegan cheeses I've had!!
Read moreStaff was attentive and super nice, service is on the slow side but I think that's a regional charm anyway, and later found out the restaurant is run by 3 people only (!!!) so, to be honest it did not impact the experience overall.
I'm so happy to have found this place - 10/10 will return!

So this is a full vegan place, with inside seating, extremely cosy.
Read moreWe had a full meal there, unfortunately we were so full that we didn't get to try their deserts!
But anyways, they change their menus every week, which I think it's awesome. For entrees, we had the cheese platter (a must!) with delicious homemade cheeses.
For the main, we had a wrap (that unfortunately didn't have much taste and I left half of it...) and the mushroom risotto, which was to die for!
We had a portuguese white wine what was divine.

Pedimos Joe's Burguer e um Chili sin carne. Este foi sem dúvida o melhor hambúrguer que comi até à data! Com a consistência certa e um sabor espantoso!
O chili também foi do agrado da pessoa que pediu (eu provei e gostei bastante!
Pediu-se também Polenta Chips com um molho que estavam muito bons!
Como sobremesa pedimos o Lava Cake. Não foi o meu favorito, mas serviu para terminar a refeição com um toque doce.
Recomendo este restaurante! Bom preço, espaço super simpático e comida saborosa!

If you like vegan burgers, you absolutely have to try "Joe's Burger" and if you want the full taste of it, ask for all the toppings 😉 Amazing place run by a lovely couple 😊 And the "Lava cake" is a must for dessert 😉

Some of the best vegan food we’ve had! - Edit
We went here for my partner’s birthday and it was perfect. The food was delicious and very high quality and the staff were really friendly and helpful even though it was busy. The only downside I can think of is that they said they are closed Sunday’s so we can’t go back before we leave Portugal, which is sad because we’d eat there every day if we could!
