Excellent Restaurant - Edit
Many vegan places lean towards being alternative cafes, (which is fine, but this is a classy restaurant. There was two starters and two mains on offer and my husband and I ordered the four and shared. Three of the dishes were 10/10. The pad Thai was fresh and ok, bit a bit bland.

Best vegan restaurant in Nice - Edit
I would describe this as the best vegan restaurant in Nice. The food was really delicious, and we came here twice during our week’s stay. They change their menu weekly, so we only tried the food for this week. It was very flavourful and a bit “fancy” (not affecting the portion size). We recommend having the coconut drink on the side.

Had a poke bowl and a selection of deserts. Only two main course choices but that was fine for me. The flavour in the dishes were life changing, and I mean that in a literal way.

Having been in Nice for a week we wanted to find somewhere to cater for Vegan and Vegetarian requirements that gave us bit more of an occasion. Previous reviews gave us a good vibe and, anxious not to miss out, we wandered along to make an evening reservation in person. Good job we did since the place got busy even in early June, when many others did not.

Fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared and presented. A great setting, well organised and good value. An absolute must

I came to Gorrilla when they first opened, and the menu has only gotten better. The savory buckwheat crepe was filling and tasty. I loved their take on a goat cheese salad and the gourmet coffee with desert tasters was the perfect way to end the meal. A bigger cafe with plenty of tables.

Nice place and outstanding cuisine. I ate it twice, and the food was amazing. Dishes I have tried include: tartine with avocado and pink grapefruit jelly, and vegan cheese made with cashews and nuts; chickpea coconut curry with sweet potato purée; raw strawberry cheesecake; café gourmand (coffee served with mini muffin, chocolate mousse, mango and pineapple panna cotta). Definitely recommended when in Nice.

Beautiful food, beautiful restaurant - Edit
All vegan and menu changes every week. They update their website with the menu for the week on Monday, with two starters, two mains so my partner and I got one of everything and shared. Delicious food and the desserts are provided by Amour patisserie which are also excellent!

We are the salad, the carbonara and the deserts. Salad had these amazing fried balls of wonder on it. Desserts are from amour and are better than anything I’ve eaten non-vegan. We thought the carbonara was too rich.

Main (16€) was delicious and a generous portion size. Dessert (~8€) felt like it was trying to mimic too many non-vegan elements (e.g. cashew cream, vegan custard), and was a bit disappointing.

Rude staff - Edit
We have tried to eat here many times and they have been closed or another problem etc. We took our friends this Saturday evening and even though the restaurant was nearly empty we were told there was no tables available. It wasn't the fact they were supposedly fully booked that left us disappointed it was the rudeness of the lady of which upon us entering the restaurant judged us on our appearance before we even spoke. We had been to the beach and were dressed casually but smart. I tried to explain I was English and before I could even say I didn't speak much French she rudely told me in a sarcastic and unfriendly way she was French.
Read moreThen I asked if there was a table and instead of being polite and saying I'm sorry were fully booked like any other polite restaurant would do she barked were booked even though literally the restaurant was nearly empty. I said all night and she shrugged her shoulders at me like she didnt even care and it was clear we were very unwelcome in this restaurant. Its this attitude that gave a lovely retaurant welcoming and friendly back in Cannes our custom.
If you want unfriendly sarcastic service from rude staff go here if you actually want a nice experience go somewhere else. Because quite frankly i now wouldn't go here or recommend if I was paid or it was the last vegan restaurant on earth!

The finest restaurant in Nice. Fantastic yummy starters, main and the coffee desert was a perfect finish. The place is clean and tidy and very cosy. Environmentally friendly, very friendly staff and fast service. We will be back for lunch.

Had a great time at Vegan Gorilla :) The food was okay, but the portions a bit small, so I recommend having a three course dinner there. Had a really delicious chocolate cake for dessert, and the atmosphere was great.

The food here was fantastic. We had a beer and a cider between my partner and I, both really tasty. There were only two options for main meals at the time so we shared one of each and they were both really fresh tasting, beautifully presented and really creamy. It looked like small portions but very filling. Lots of dessert options, I had a peach tart that was great. Waitress was very friendly and everything was very reasonably priced.

J'ai trouvé ce resto sur happy cow et j'avais hâte de l'essayer. J'ai été un peu déçue par le choix de menu très restreint. Beau décor. Resto écolo avec serviettes de table réutilisables, etc. donc j'ai beaucoup aimé les valeurs zéro déchet. J'ai pris une lasagne crue de courgettes et c'était délicieux. Le cheese cake chocolat arachides était absolument décadent. J'ai trouvé ça cher pour les portions (16 euros la lasagne et 6.50 le gâteau) mais tout est bio, local et en saison. Bravo pour originalité.
