Amazing evening
They gave us the upstairs lounge table made in a really cool style with recycled pallet wood
The owners is a vegan couple doing everything home hard in their menu
They change the menu every week so that you never get bored of discovering new creative ways of plant based delicatessen
The husband is the chef, he has gastronomic background ( You can't miss it) and his wife is doing everything to make you happy. The ambiance is nice, it feels like without knowing them, you are at your friend's home.
We had raw purple artichoke salad, just perfect
Waffles with some kind of chives cream that was so light incredible
And a kickass raw banana fig and coco chocolate dessert
Overall, one of the best vegan restaurant without doubt in south of France, correct prices, creativity, friendly ambiance and adorable family owner

Le cadre est joli et reposant. La carte est simple et saine. l énoncé des plats par la serveuse donne vraiment envie.le service rapide mais nous avons été très déçus quant aux plats. Lasagnes avec ricotta vegan au butternut choux romanesco etc.... les lasagnes etaient tres sèches voires crues en bordure le butternutt quasi inexistant la farce essentiellement a base de tofu manquait d assaisonnement et etait assez monotone.
Burger vegan et patate avec fausse sour cream: la creme de cajou etait bonne mais le faux burger manquait d assaisonnement le pain aurait pu être grillé. Le guacamole inexsistant.
Café gourmand: moelleux chocolat fondant pomme et mousse chocolat... seule la mousse etait bonne et parfumee.. le fondant aux pommes on sentait la levure ou le bicarbonate et le moelleux au chocolat était assez fade.
Nous avons fait remonter nos impressions au chef.
Montant addition 2 plats 1 bière 1 café gourmand : 45€
Je ne pense pas en revanche y retourner ou le recommander.

Tasty and fresh food, a friendly host and a cosy atmosphere. What's not to like? Had a great evening and enjoyed the food very much.

Had a lovely lunch at Vegan Gorilla. A small menu with two options for each course. The dragon bowl was very filling and nutritious the setting is modern and clean. A little expensive but you are paying for the quality of the ingredients used.

Great vegan restaurant with a cosy interior and very friendly owners. Serves upscale dishes that are beautifully prepared and tastes fantastic!

This place is beautiful, the owners are so lovely, and the food is healthy, beautifully presented gourmet style food, and delicious! They speak good English and have an English menu. The menu rotates once a week. We came back twice and wish we could have come here again but we leave Nice tomorrow. Our favourite place to eat in Nice!

friendly owner, the menu wasnt in english but he translated and explained everything to us. Very nice natural interior, tasty food but really overpriced.

I popped in here to have lunch. The food was really good and the staff suggested other vegan cafes in the area. They have English speaking staff which made ordering easier.

We were really looking forward to our lunch there but left quite disappointed.
For 60 Euro we got two glasses of wine, water, a small salad, two slices of bread with avocado spread and two mains (cold, filled small courgette). The starters tasted good, but the mains were not to our taste.
When we left, we had to say goodbye three times before receiving a reply (while only two other guests were present)
It's really cool that there IS a vegan restaurant, but we still expect normal hospitality and for that price also better tasting food.

First its worthy of mention that the restaurant has been recently brought by a vegan couple who have taken it to the next level!!

The chef for example has 20+ years experience in making fine cuisine and it really does show in their food. All of which is organic, fresh and of a high standard.

For me I loved every bite of all their dishes they had available, I personally would highly recommend you trying the Asian starter and their desert option too, which I've uploaded in the gallery here.

The owners/staff were all very friendly and I can tell straight away that they had real passion for what they do.

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant anytime, its rare you find fine vegan cuisine made with such detail and effort!

My wife and I visited Vegan Gorilla this week for the first time. We are both from Los Angeles and as such have access to some of the best vegan food in the world, so naturally we were a bit worried as to where we would eat while in the south of France. It was a huge relief to find Vegan Gorilla as it felt like a slice of home. Much like the Vegan restaurants in California, Vegan Gorilla serves the highest end Vegan food with no compromises. The dishes are flavorful, original, healthy, and clean. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and located in a great part of town. Highly recommend it for any Vegans in the area or travelers like us!

I haven't been here with the old owners so I have no idea how good it was then, but now the food is 1st class. They are up there with Faust and Lucky Leek in Berlin.

By the way, the waitress looks like Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is also almost vegan.

Great location. Not cheap, but good value for the quality.

There's a nice surprise waiting to visit you as you enter the restaurant.

Je rêverais d'un restaurant comme celui ci dans ma région. Tout y délicieux, la déco est superbe et pour ne rien gacher l'accueil etait très agréable. J'y retournerais sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour à Nice.

Great owners! Really nice design, great juices and dessert a little minus for the mainplate I took. But I tried my friends plate and it was really good. I like that they change the menu each day so you will always be surprised. The choclate cake for dessert was to die for, the best of the whole meal!

wonderful lunch at the Vegan Gorilla, the food was really delicious with strong flavours, really hight quality. We really love everything we ate, only organic (the noddle, rice, soup, juices, smoothies, desserts and wine ) it was tasty and well-balanced. One could really taste the freshess of every serving.
Bravo to the friendly owners, and thank you!

Food was very basic and the flavours were not there/not done with care/bland.
Avocado on wet bread - €9.
Rice and potatoes - €17.

I had lunch here today. It was truly excellent. As a main course I chose the trio of three purées - sweet potato, chick pea and potato - which came with a rocket salad. That might sound bland but whatever herbs, spices had nuts had been used really blended well and brought out strong and spicy flavours. The creamy dessert I had to follow was flavoured with lemon and could not be faulted.

The friendly owner told me that the menu changed daily, depending on what was available at the market.

The restaurant is pleasantly decorated with the theme of wild animals - forest sounds are quietly playing in the background.

My one regret is that I don't live near enough to Nice to regularly eat here.

We had a very nice experience at Vegan Gorilla. The food was really delicious and wholesome, really high quality. The owners were very friendly and ambiance was great. We really loved everything we ate, the butternut squashed with red rice, the noodle, the soup, the desserts, the juices, the smoothies. Absolutely a nice discovery. Highly recommended. We definitely will come back. Bravo (and thank you!) for the courage to open your restaurant in this region. GO! GORILLA!!!

Jolie decoration, bel accueil, produits frais de qualité ... Jus centrifugé minute , et très bon pain fait maison sans gluten tartiné de "faux fromage" ! J ai dégusté un butter nut rôti, riz rouge au tofu fumé et roquette..les portions sont vraiment généreuses.
En dessert j'ai pris la tarte crue chocolat caramel : juste parfaite.
Belle découverte ! À faire impérativement !

Vegan Gorilla offers tasty vegan food with a couple starters, entrées and deserts changing on a regular basis.
The decoration and ambiance are quite unique.
Unfortunately it is a bit expensive considering the size of the servons.

I spent a excellent moment in that great place, it was delicious : homemade fresh juice was fantastic with large glass, like all my dinner was perfect, it is a seasonal ever changing menu with only fresh organic quality food, nicely presented, French English and Italien fluent the staff is really kind and friendly, the natural wood style decoration is lovely and relaxing. It sounds the best vegan place in Nice
