I always like to give all vegan restaurants 5 star reviews so this 3 star review is saying a lot. First, the plate was not worth $17. The food was decent but the portions are not worth that much. Second, the platter let’s you pick 4 options out of I think 7 items. I ordered jambalaya, dirty rice, beans and greens but when I opened my food I realized that the jambalaya was a rice dish, as was the dirty rice obviously and the beans had rice in them. I wish the person I ordered from had told me how much rice I was ordering. Lastly, they have a large nice outdoor patio but they don’t allow dogs. I have never heard of an outdoor patio that doesn’t allow dogs. Plus, I was the only one at the restaurant. Would not recommend this place.

Pleased that you left this review. I am visiting from Miami. This city is the most difficult place I have ever been to locate any Vegan restaurant! I am forced to cook daily due to this issue. And, sadly, there are so many obese and unhealthy people here due to their eating~lifestyle. With that said, I will give the place a try and order some of the dishes I see in the comments below.

Waited in traffic for 1 1/2 hrs and they kept our food warm for us! So good! Saved the beignets for the morning! The food was amazing and worth the wait!

The restaurant had a beautiful layout. Two grand entrances. The southern hospitality was out of the world. They definitely passed the vibe check! 10/10 would recommend!!!

We stopped in Baton Rouge to do some shopping and then just happened upon this restaurant. The wait time for the food was really long (because we arrived just after they had been slammed with customers), but the food was so worth it. We will definitely return when we pass through town again.

The Baddest Chik Sandwich was absolutely FLAWLESS. Yams were excellent. The Very Freakin Good Juice exceeded all expectations and deserves every syllable of its namesake. If I could give this place another 5 star review for each bite and sip I took, I would. In my experience, Vegan Friendly Foods is the best Vegan restaurant in Louisiana - and it easily achieves top-three in the region.

I got the choose four platter. We went w the yams, jambalaya, mac and cheese and collard greens.
The jambalaya and greens were good, but that mac stole the show. The portion size on the mac was small and the yams were too sweet (adding sweetener to yams is not necessary IMO)
The price was a little much but not outrageous. Overall a good spot for the only all vegan option We found in town.

Read morefood. We were not expecting this off the interstate (I-10) quick lunch to be so soul satisfying. Even the salad was fantastic It is a family owned and run business with a nice article about the family members and their inspiration for the restaurant on the wall. We called from the road and picked it up as takeout 15 minutes later. This food made an ordinary trip special.

We ordered the soul food plate & veggie plate. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The food was not too greasy, even the fried vegetables were lightly fried & the ranch sauce was delicious.

This place has been perfect to me. I haven’t eaten in two days since being in Baton Rouge and this has been the most wonderful treat to me so far. Please support this business I really recommend the soul food platter. It made me feel like I wasn’t missing on the Louisiana culture.
