Absolute classic - Edit
I used to eat in Vega when I was a little child, and I still love going there as an adult.
Read moreVega has two floors, level zero is more traditional and level one is international.
About level zero:
Pierogi, naleśniki, soups, kluski ślaskie, and cutlets are absolute classics and worth trying if you are interested in Polish cuisine - I can't recall any similar place in the whole of Poland where you can find so many traditional dishes!
Service is always nice and fast, even where there are big queues during lunch peak hours.
Pros: Huge variety of fresh dishes, Quick service , Polish comfort food
Cons: Food is not top quality

The first level functions as traditional Polish fast food place. The second level is different, there is a restaurant and it offers cakes and ice cream as well. The restaurant's food is good. There are many choices.

Lovely - Edit
Lovely restaurant! I love the street food style that you order your food at the counter and then take your seat. We sat outside and were enjoyed with fire show and music on the street outside. You get lots of food for a very good price and I guarantee you you will be full after finishing your plate!

The restaurant consists of two floors. The first floor is Polish cuisine: buffet, you get everything at once, very unhealthy (everything prepared in deep fat - oil even in potatoes), tasteless. Second floor: cool, although prices are considerable.
Read morePros: Fully vegan, Good location, Outdoor spaces
Cons: Expensive, Unhealthy, everything made in deep oil, Unfriendly service
pb18+happycow
“Unhealthy”, “Everything is made in deep oil”? Most of the dishes contain half of the plate cabbage or some from of salat. And everything isn’t fried.. take the Kluski as an example

Good food, great place - Edit
A lot of polish specialties including dumplings (Pierogi).
Read moreA lot of choice including for desserts and icecreams.
Big area (2 floors)
Food was good (i really liked the falafel tortilla and the not fish and chips).
The staff yells the name of the ready meals so you can grab them on the counter (not always in english depending on who took your order)
The menu is available in english but it's for sets, so look also at the black menu on the wall if you dont want to have sides for all your orders and pay more...
Pros: Traditional meals, Big portions, Promoting veganism for animals
Cons: Notification system

Great polish food - Edit
We ate here a few times during our stay. They have a lot of different polish specialities for an acceptable price. Rhe tofu burger was great! A bit annoying ordering system where they yell what food is ready (often in polish) - would be better with a number system or those beeping things.

Nice hot chocolate, delicious ice cream - Edit
I’m adding an update after a few years - their ice cream is really good now. Black currant and chocolate were full of flavour.

We visited Vega only to drink something warm on a cold and rainy day. They serve delicious hot caramel chocolate. Chocolate and plum pie was quite OK (unfortunately, it was the only pie they had), but the ice cream we also tried was tasteless and with a strange texture.
Next time, we'll give them another chance and try some of their dishes for lunch or dinner. They have many interesting options in the menu.

They sell vegan kimchi in jars. Turned out that was the tastiest thing we bought here. The food is ok, but, it is absolutely not something to remember, go here if you are hungry and can't walk anywhere else. After all the location is great.

Highly recommend - Edit
Ate here twice when we visited Wroclaw. The downstairs is more like a cafe with lots off different dishes to choose from including traditional options like perogies. The upstairs was a bit more formal with table service, alcoholic drinks, and several different dish options such as enpanadas and ramen (they warned me the ramen would be very spicy, but it was extremely mild). Was really good, and the history makes it that bit more special.
