Cheap and cheerful

I paid under £7 for a curry, side of breaded cauliflower, a cherry cake and a drink. So it is very reasonably priced. However, the curry was totally tasteless, the poppadom I came with honestly had more flavour, it was supposed to be a tofu Thai green but also included sprouts?! Cauliflower was tasty but a bit cold and greasey as you might expect from a buffet. The cake and pineapple soda tasty tho

Perfect lunch for everyone

Delicious food remembers my childhood without animal products. I fell in love with this place.
The food is nutritious and healthy and have great taste here. The staff is friendly and there are many tables for the guests. Its a calm place. You can relax and look at the city while having lunch.

Pros: Modern and traditional food options, Friendly people, Smaller and bigger portions are avaible

Lots of choices - healthy or decadent

Big selection of buffet items. I follow a strictly healthy diet and get my fill here. Food is quite tasty and filling, very homestyle. One of my very favorite places in Budapest.

Interesting Place

Buffet-style vegan food (though you don't help yourself, you choose what you want, how much you want of it, and get served). The food is weighed and priced (good prices). Quite a few options.
I wanted a burger but without cucumber (as have an allergy/intolerance to) and they couldn't make a fresh one up, which was disappointing. I choose the potato wedges and nuggets instead, and a small bowl of lentil soup. The soup was good, well-flavoured, but the nuggets weren't to my liking and the wedges were a bit soggy and oily.
A little note to bear in mind if you have disability is that the toilet is upstairs. This was quite awkward for me.

Pros: Quite a few options, Staff friendly , All vegan!

Cons: Toilets upstairs, which difficult (disabled), Food oily , Couldn't make fresh burger/inflexible food choices

Excellent place

The food is amazing, you can have the menu which includes usually a soup and a dish. Both were excellent.

Lunch place in Budapest

I love the fact that food is not too salty nor spicy. Everything is nicely combined.

Mediocre

I'll say upfront that i came here right before they closed so there was practically no food left, but i actually came because i was recommended their desserts, which were okay but nothing wow.

Healthy, fresh and tasty

This is a very bright and well located restaurant. For a buffet the food was very fresh and flavourful. However, I wish some dishes had been warmer (such as the breaded veggies or "shrimp" that were a bit soggy at room temperature. I didn't try the deserts but didn't see ice cream.

Pros: Lovely venue / decor, Tasty nutritious food , Lovely bathrooms

Cons: Food not warm enough

Vega City

I was intrigued by Vega City's colorful burgers but I didn't like mine. I remember the patty being quite dense. There are other vegan junk food places I liked better in Budapest.

I didn't know garlic soup was a thing

If I lived here you would probably find me here on a daily basis. The food is good, the staff is friendly and everything is so cheap.

Nice food, amazing location!

I really like the location of this place, very central and easy to access. They have a huge variety of options, so it's always difficult to choose. The food is usually good, however, I have had a few bad experiences here as well (such as the food being overly salty, or the cake I once had with an absolutely undercooked dough), but yes, more often than not I leave the place satisfied and happy.

Pros: Tons of options, all vegan, Kind staff

Cons: Not very cheap

Good selection

They have a variety of different foods and the menue changes every day. I went there two times, one time for lunch and one time for cake. The lunch was okay. I had the Indian dish and for me, it was not very filling and soon I got hungry again. My friends ordered other dishes (the hungarian pancake and one-pot dish)and they were really full after that. So I don't know if it was just this one dish. But nevertheless everything tasted good and it was really cheap, so I would try the lunch again.

The cake was really good! We had raw-avocado and raw-chocolate cake. The avocado one was good but nothing speical, but the chocolate one was really delicious! I shared it with a friend and we both loved it. The other cakes also looked delicious. Defenetly would reccomend going there for cake!

The only disadvantage is, that vega city is closed after 6 PM and on the weekend. I mean, closed on weekends??

Used to eat here all the time

When I was living in Hungary, I used to eat here 2-3 times a week.
Super nice staff, cozy place (although sometimes lacks fresh air - but you can always just go to Muzeum kert if the weather is nice), SUPER cheap and usually tasty food. I didn't like some of the dishes, so I often went with my favorite, static dish instead of the daily menu: the gyros plate. I'm not sure if they actually had that on the menu after a while, but I asked for it anyway. Sometimes they didn't have the required ingredients, so they asked if they can replace it with something else - yeah, the staff are super nice.
I always brought my friends here when they wanted to eat somewhere, could always convince them with the fact that it's so cheap.

Pros: incredible value for the price, varied food, super friendly staff

If you’re visiting Budapest, you must try this place. The prices are low, the food is good, altrough the portions aren’t very big.

Impressive!

Beautiful and cozy buffet with impressive amount of vegan dishes: mains, salads and sweets.
We tried a little bit of everything: soups — creamy corn and dal (both were ok), lots of deep fried options — shrimps (we didn’t like lemon flavor in it but all in all shrimps were ok), cashew cheese (tasty!), soy nuggets (I liked it a lot); baked tempeh (a bit too salty), some salads and rice and a strawberry cake.
The food wasn’t heated: soups were slightly warm and deep fried dishes were unexpectedly cold. But we were so hungry we ate it as is. I guess they would heat it if we’d ask to but isn’t it kinda obvious tho?..
Anyway I’d recommend to visit

Pros: 100% vegan, Super friendly and sweet service , You can taste a bit of everything, prices are ok

My favourite restaurant in downtown Budapest

It's easily accessible by public transport, located near museums, second-hand bookshops and libraries. It's always my go to restaurant, since it's not expensive and there's always a big variations of different meals, sandwiches and juices.

Pros: Weekly menu., Relatively cheap., Lots of options.

Cons: Super popular so there is usually a queue. :D

Affordable and delicious Hungarian/European cuisine

Lots of seating and a nice atmosphere to relax. Friendly service and a variety of food items to try. I got Brussel sprouts with tofu and a tomato pepper sauce with rice, fried Seiten, and a French soup for about 5.70 euros. Would definitely return
