Menu downsized - Edit
It's true, the menu has been greatly reduced. There are still legit options and several daily specials. Sadly, my favorites that include 🥲 the Brussel sprouts, the tofu salmon, 😕 mac'n cheese and the chicken strips are all gonesville. Service was still great and food was excellent as usual.

Bearer of Bad News - Edit
I’d been looking forward to trying this place for awhile, and it turns out I just missed it. Apparently the company decided last week to focus more on wholesale and now offer only a very limited menu in store. The soup I got was good (potato soup) but the sandwich (the buffalo chick’n one) had like one dollop of each sauce in the middle and two mini pickles. They gave me more when I asked but it was honestly almost laughable how it came out. It sounds like it used to be really good!

Great food, no drinks, no service - Edit
There was no drink selection and I got charged $3 for water. The fridge holding their drinks was practically empty. We were given plastic silverware with the explanation that they were out of clean silverware (we came in 1 1/2 hours before closing).
Read moreNow the food was amazing and I inhaled my dish. I would go back for the food, but would bring my own drinks and silverware. Trying to cut into food with plastic silverware wasn't the easiest.

I love Veg Head - Edit
As the title says, I love Veg Head. Their selection is great and I like how they have a very seasonal menu options. Their food is really good too! My favorite dishes are the kale pesto pasta, teriyaki quinoa, and the fried chicken tenders and the fries.

Really good lunch! - Edit
I first asked the waitstaff what the most underrated appetizer was and they recommended the roasted Brussel sprouts and they were absolutely delicious, I would totally recommend. They also recommended me the chopped cheese which was super satisfying and the seitan and sauce were so good. When it came out, it had fries on the side, which I hadn’t ordered, and they weren’t great, cold and not crispy. I also got a small Mac and cheese, which was creamy, had plenty of sauce, great texture, but slightly bland. I will get the entree next time, with the toppings, to enhance the flavor. Overall great experience and totally recommend!

Yummy! So many options! - Edit
It was challenging to choose from the very large menu. I got the buffalo wings (cauliflower) and Brussel sprouts (baked). Very delicious… a bit oily but I love oily food. The choice of sauces was also extensive and delicious.

Not my jam - Edit
While I appreciate any place offering vegan options, not sure if I just ordered the wrong things but…… was not for me. I went T to the restaurant and tried the Nashville chicken/tofu sandwich. I did not love it. Then fast forward I saw they sell pre made grab and go items at QD in Holt and figured I’d give them another try…. I tried the Mac and cheese and buffalo chicken wrap. Other people had told me they were really good so I gave it another shot. I was disappointed and ended up giving it to my dog.😫😫😫I appreciate the effort but my taste buds give them a hard no. 👎

Good variety! - Edit
Nice to have another fully vegan place for when we visit Lansing! The menu had plenty of options, so it was hard to decide. We both got Mac and cheese, which was very good. I'll bump up my rating when I visit again and try more variety.

Delicious variety of (Pricey) Plant based food! - Edit
Veg head offers quite a selection, and everything is plant-based. Restaurant is not full service, you order at the counter and then the food is brought to you.
Read moreWe ordered the chicken tenders, classic cheeseburger, and mac and cheese.
Total came to around $46.
Food was delicious! Everything was perfectly cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
However, The portions are very small for the prices. I was still hungry after sharing the food we ordered. My partner added the bbq jackfruit ($4 add on) to her mac and it was maybe half a cup at the most.
Lastly, I absolutely cannot stand it when you are charged extra if you want fries. The small burger itself was $12, and if you want fries it is another $4. This is just a personal pet peeve of mine. Burgers should come with fries! 🙃
Overall, it was great food! The prices and portions however, make me hesitant to come running back.
Pros: Delicious , Completely Plant Based , Variety
Cons: Price, Portions , Slow Service

Actually pretty dang good these days - Edit
I had given a 3-star review a year ago, but I'm rescinding that-- Veg Head has much improved from its early days. The menu still doesn't excite me a ton, but all the food I've had there recently has been cooked really well (and quickly), so I can't complain. Their spicy chopped cheese sandwich SLAPS if you're able to get it when it's a special.

Can’t go wrong here! - Edit
Everything is so good. We dined in and it was so good we ordered takeout for dinner tomorrow. Best breaded mushrooms and cauliflower wings I’ve ever had. We also had seitan tacos (seitan might be the best I’ve had as well) cauliflower tacos, Mac n cheese, jalapeño popper Mac n cheese, Nashville tofu sandwich and cheese burger. I’m dying to go back for more.

Food was good. We had hotdogs and a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese didn’t go over well, but that’s on my kids not the restaurant. Lemonade and cherry lemonade were good. Then I got the gluten free cookies. Yummmm!

Friendly cashier, food made to order, was happy with menu choices (a lot of Mac and cheese. Maybe will try next time).
Read moreOrdered Nashville tofu sandwich, fries, and got a poppi to drink. Good presentation was good! Came out less than 10 min after ordering. Fries are average skinny fries (hot w/o seasoning). Tofu sandwich was a 10/10. Crispy. Seasoned well. Spicy, but not sizzling your tongue off.

Afternoon Delight - Edit
Stopped in for a menu, stayed for a little dessert. Split a decadent (gluten-free) avocado cake and coconut milk gelato with my husband. The cake was a rich, delicious chocolate with ganache on top. It paired wonderfully with the creaminess of layered flavor of the gelato.

Not your typical vegan junk food - Edit
I’m all for super savory vegan junk food/American style food but I really enjoyed the ability to get some vegan food and feel healthy afterwards. I got a couple of different entrees that me and my partner split. Nashville hot cauliflower, tomato soup, tofu salmon, and chickpea and Tahini quinoa bowl. All of these were pretty good. The cauliflower wings were good but the sauce was not what I expected for Nashville hot: it wasn’t really spicy at all. The tomato soup was delicious. I don’t even like tomato soup and I really enjoyed that flavor. The tofu salmon was interested. Definitely felt like a healthy option but overall was an okay flavor. The chickpea and tahini quinoa bowl was my favorite by far. I want that for lunch everyday. The dressing were all very good too! I mixed the pesto and the ranch for the quinoa bowl 🤌🏻 this was an order at the counter and get a number and seat yourself type of place.
