My favorite place to get dessert 🍩 - Edit
Finding fried vegan donuts can be nearly impossible. Therefore, I have to stop at Strange Matter every time I’m in Lansing. Almost all of their pastries are vegan. My non-vegan friends love their donuts too. They also sell vegan scones and pop tarts.
Read moreI’ve enjoyed every donut I’ve had from there, but I recommend the blueberry, the Boston cream (pictured) and the sugar cookie (pictured, seasonal). The sugar cookie donut tastes like what Starbucks thinks a sugar cookie tastes like (I mean this positively. It’s one of the best donuts I’ve ever had). Their savory everything donut filled with vegan cream cheese is also amazing.
For coffee, they have oat milk and almond milk. I’m not a proficient judge of coffee, but the oat milk sugar cookie latte I got was good. I do wish they had soy milk as an option.

I don’t usually go to non vegan places, but I saw the reviews and wanted to try a donut for myself. This place exceeded my expectations. I walked in and asked if any of the baked goods in the case were vegan, the waitstaff responded saying they were all vegan, I was so surprised! I picked a cookie butter donut and a blueberry cheesecake donut. Both were absolutely perfection!

Not only is the coffee good, but they also have tons of vegan donuts and other baked goods. Can also order bagel sandwiches that are also vegan. Staff is friendly.

Amazing sweets. They taste great. A little expensive but worth it in quality. If you’re big on coffee, it’s unfortunately not my favorite. The Nola is good though!

I went here on a Saturday afternoon and not only did they have a lot of pastries available, but every single one was vegan. I got a latte with almond milk and it was delicious, I'll definitely be back.

I stopped here when I was in town for a conference and in need of a pick me up. These are the best vegan donuts I’ve had in a long time, and they have a great variety to choose from. I got the lemon zest and loved it. Perfect with my morning americano. I hope they expand across the state!

I wrote a review for the other location too. To summarize, great vegan donuts. Has all vegan muffins too. Can’t speak for the coffee since I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but this place is phenomenal!
