Healthy burgers

This place is located in a food court mall, because of this it can be hard to find and get a little bit busy, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you want a healthy, filling burger. Not everything is vegan- just ask the workers there what’s good, they’re very friendly. Also sometimes they have vegan cheese that isn’t listed on the menu, but they can add it to your burger if you want it.

Pros: Healthy and hearty , Filling

Cons: Little bit expensive , Located in a crowded area

Best roasted potatoes

I randomly found this lil stand at Mercato Centrale and it was a life saviour in my Firenze trip.
I must say that the menu range is small, having only two vegan burgers and two vegetarian ones, but they are pretty filling and tasty!
I wasn't very keen about the ingredients, staff and the menu price, but the roasted potatoes and the vegan mayo were upstanding, one of the best i've ever had.

If you are tired and have just arrived to Firenze, I totally recommended it if you are into some quick vegan junk food.

Pros: Roasted Potatoes, Vegan Mayo

Cons: Small menu, with only 4 burgers and menu price

Disappointing

The place is more Vegetarian then Vegan with lots of cheese (not vegan) options and from the menu is not easy to understand if the cheese option are vegetarian or vegan. After talking about vegan mayonnaise at the till I received my burger with dairy cheese ( clearly no clue ) I asked if it was possible to remake the burger with a no as answer. Disappointing as the standard in Florence as been so high so far.

Good vege burgers!

If you need a break from the pasta and pizza, then this is a good spot to go. I only had the burger but the veges were fresh. Would probably agree with the rest of the reviews that there was a bit too much sauce and the patty could have been firmer, but otherwise was a good meal! Also had a small juice (carrot, apple and lemon) which was refreshing.

Good Vegan Options for a Quick Lunch

I come here every time I come to Florence and it’s great if you need something quick for lunch. The burgers can all be made vegan (ask for them without cheese) but my favourite is the Popeye burger. The patties are tasty but I wish they were a little firmer. The potatoes are good too but skip them if you don’t like food that’s too salty or oily. You can also ask for an extra dipping sauce on the side but I usually use the mayo from the burger because they use a generous amount. Also, the market can be quite busy sometimes, but they have paper packaging so you can take away the food.

Pros: Good vegan burgers, not too pricey, fast service

Cons: Oily potatoes, market can be quite busy, lots of meat around from other vendors

Burger OK, potatos not

The burger was quiet good, the vegan mayo was very delicious. But i would not recommend the potatoes, couldnt eat those since they we're soaked in oil. Never seen anything like this.

Pros: two vegan burgers available, taste good

Cons: potatoes soaked in oil, not crispy

Burger okay. Potatoes soaked in oil

The burger is quite good. The patty isn't home made but the Mayo is good. However, I would not recommend the potatoes. They were soaked in oil

First meal in Florence

We just landed in Florence for our honeymoon and needed a fast and easy lunch. This place is in a large indoor market of sorts with various restaurants. (If you've ever been to Boston, think Quincy Market/Fanual Hall).

The burgers were good and the roasted potatoes were great but on the oily side.

Overall nice but not Italian at all!

Pros: Fast service, Inexpensive

Cons: Chopping meat across the room at another place.

Boisterous, busy & loved it!

Firstly we should have read the reviews as to where it was within the market, upstairs & by the bar (well at least you build an appetite finding it) it’s a typically busy food & flower market downstairs so if your sensitive to butchers/ fish mongers etc then best to avoid. Upstairs is a bustling vibrant food court, lots of people & not enough places to sit at busy times so be patient & go with the flow (where else can you wait for a burger whilst enjoying a lovely prosecco!)
The vegan burgers are clearly marked, my husband had the Popeye & we shared potatoes (delicious btw) , generous portions full of fresh food and yes very messy to eat but that’s half the fun. There was a very vibrant mix of people eating lots of different foods so if your looking for a vegan/vegetarian oasis of calm this isn’t it. We loved it!

Pros: The food, The staff, Bar next to Veg &. Veg

Cons: Busy hall at times so seating can be limited

Good and bad

I had high hopes of my meal here but it didn't really hit the spot. Partly that may be down to my choice. I had the Popeye burger which my friend recommended and also on his recommendation swapped out the mayo, which he said was too much, with some green pesto. Given that the burger itself is a little bland this meant i was left wanting a good dollop of chilli sauce or relish to kick up the flavour.
I should have read the menu and chosen the L'Arzillo, the other vegan burger in the menu as that has spicy mayo. It also has roasted peppers and aubergine so would be much more tasty for me than the Popeye which has roasted red onions and raw red cabbage etc.
The bun is a good and big locally made wholegrain thing but toasted so a bit on the dry side. Perhaps that's why you need all the mayo that others say is rather messy to eat!
Nicely assembled burger it certainly looks the part.
Also I ordered the roast potatoes and a juice drink which you can have on a deal for €15. Saves €1.50
As someone else has said these potatoes are very salty. Too salty really so eating these with the burger made the burger taste rather bland.
The juice drink was good I had the one with beetroot juice in it.
I would give this place another try. I would like to have the other burger on its own with a drink.
Unless you are really hungry you won't need the potatoes and burger as the burgers are large and filling. If there are two of you share some potatoes.
I did like the busy environment of the market and wasn't too bothered about the smells of meat and other people's meals being eaten all around.
I am a relatively new vegan and live with meat eaters in my family.
If you are sensitive to this as a vegan then you probably should not come here. There are other options in Florence.

Pros: Big portions. Busy environment upstairs above an i

Cons: those salty spuds. some may dislike the butchers

Yummy burger

I had the spicy burger which was quite tasty. This was partly due to generous amounts of spicy mayo which also made the burger a bit hard to eat. Make sure to get some extra napkins! The fresh juices were also amazing.

great burgers!

We've been here twice so far during our stay. A big bonus is that you can have a burger for late breakfast or early lunch, when many places don't serve food yet. Also warm and cosy in the winter thanks to space heaters in every corner of the food court.

Thanks to other reviewers for mentioning exactly where in the mercato centrale Veg and Veg is, IT'S ON THE FIRST FLOOR!

Pros: open early for food, great atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: all the meat you see while in the food court

After a long walk trough Florence center looking for a nice veggie place. Happy Cow helped me to find this restaurant in the foodcourt on the first floor of this market.
Had a delicious burger and a power juice:) the atmosphere is great!

adorable & delicious

When we finally arrived here, we had already eaten so just tried the chocolate dessert. And woah! That was beyond awesome! If that's an indication of the quality and passion put into the rest of the menu, I have so doubt how incredible everything is.

Pros: fabulous dessert

Nice place, good food

Would be worth mentioning in the main description this place is in the food court on the first floor of the market (so you don't end up circling downstairs endlessly getting hungrier by the minute :D).

Anyway, it was great being in amongst the crowds in the food court and having lots of options (burgers, salads, potatoes, juices etc) to choose from. Thought the staff were friendly and it didn't take too long for food to arrive.

I had the arzillo burger, was very tasty, but suspect it was the spicy mayo giving the flavour rather than the burger itself, which was more like a squishy patty than a crispy burger. Portions are big, which is good, bun was toasted and seeded which was also good.

Choice + atmosphere meant it was a good place overall to dine for lunch.

Pros: Choices/options, Atmosphere of the food market

Cons: Thought salad was a bit pricey, esp for 3 options

Yummy vegan burgers

The burgers here are great! The chef told us that they didnt have the potato chips at the time so made us a delicious giant salad instead. We tried 2 of the vegan burgers and both wete fantastic. The only complaint would be that the lady at the counter was quite rude and was constantly on her phone rather than serving. But the chef was lovely and so were the meals.

good burger and chips!

If your looking for burger and chips I would recommend this place. It was located on the first floor of the indoor market, a great place to hang out...I got the L'arzillo burger it was a bit dry, not the best I've ever had but all in all it was a good burger. The desserts where amazing we tried the 'cheese cakes' and chocolates cake both were delicious .

really great burgers definitely worth visiting

This is inside the Market on the second floor (so you better head up the stairs) in the food court. It's great and really busy. We tried three burgers between us and they were all amazing. The potato chips were just awesome. The juices wash everything down well. We really enjoyed this, and kids ate their share - so a vote from them!

Not great

The staff were friendly but food was pretty poor. We got an Il Magnifico meal which was the burger, potatoes and a small juice for 17 euros. We decided to share this between us as the portions were pretty big.

However, the burger was dry and the bun being over toasted didn't help. The potatoes were incredibly salty to the point we couldn't finish them. The juice was fine but small was probably not enough for us to share. The market itself was interesting with quite a few other options for vegetarians (not much else for vegans though).

This place will do at a push but there are much better options available.

Pros: Nice staff, good location, big portions, something

Cons: Most importantly not very tasty! Quite expensive

These burgers are huge !

Located at Mercato Centrale.
There were 5 options when I went.
The first time...I was in transition so the vegetarian option was amazing and I could hardly finish (all of their burgers are vegetarian, 2 are strictly vegan).
Recently went back and had one of their vegan burgers...equally as amazing. I believe it was the Popeye.
The burgers alone are 8Euro (trust me, worth it!). For another 3 euro you can get a small container of fresh potato slices.
They also serve great fresh juices, salads and soups.

Pros: Vegan Vegetarian Fresh juices Filling
