good dinner - Edit
The place is underground in a shopping centre on a food court together with other restaurants in an open space kind of. So it is missing a bit the atmosphere of a separated place, but was not so bad. The food was good,.it is western style food. About half of the dishes were vegan, rest vegetarian. They had good draft special beers. No hard alcohol or.cocktails though.

Our family digs this place - Edit
We've come here a few times while in Taipei and my husband, 1 year old and I always enjoy our meal.
Read moreHad the vegan brunch which was full of delicious local produce but the tofu scramble was nothing to write home about. Needs to be spiced up as it tasted like....well....tofu.
Pros: Great wholesome family food. , Helpful English speaking staff., Uses organic local produce.
Cons: tofu scramble needs work!

Nice place with a great selection of vegan food - Edit
It is a bit pricey, but it is in Xinyi and it is western. They have a huge selection of vegan dishes, though its not fully vegan. The home made pasta they make in house is super yum and they serve one of the best vegan burgers in town which is the kimchi burger. Must try for sure!

One of the best! - Edit
Amazing craft beer selection and venue aside, this is a place to bring your non-vegan/vegetarian friends and they won't notice the meals don't have meat!

Contemporary NYC-Style Restaurant - Edit
Tucked in the corner of a food-court style basement in the Shinkong Mitsukoshi department store, URBN Underground, reminiscent of NYC-style fusion restaurants, serves all-day brunch (shakshuka, toasts, omelets), salads, sandwiches/burgers, and pasta. They also serve a variety of beers as well as juices and smoothies (which you can sub cashew milk for an additional $20 NTD). Dishes are primarily new-American style with some asian fusion as well. The space is fairly small as it an open space with a communal table and two smaller tables on the side (they also have bar seats as well). Vegan dishes are labelled on the menu.
Read moreI ordered the vegan kimchi mayo burger as well as the nutty banana smoothie. They were both delicious! The presentation of the burger was definitely beautiful and photo-friendly, placed on a graphic sheet of paper on a wooden cutting board (reminiscent of NYC brunch dishes!) I would definitely recommend it but also look forward to trying the other dishes on the menu as well.
Pros: contemporary, decent price, takes reservations
Cons: charge extra for cashew milk, food court atmosphere
