Bit pricey for just fine

Good service, was quick nice variety of options. Portions are crazy big and is pricey too. Recommend only half portion of ramen if you're wanting to try the side especially.

beautiful presentation !

Beautiful dishes, delicious food, vegan vending machines outside! They have counter seating and table seating. It’s so nice not having to worry about cross contamination when it comes to soup especially (stopped eating at meat restaurants after finding a piece of a chicken in my soup). Not to be missed!!

Buonissimo

Unique ramen experience

The food here is indeed crafted with care. This place makes their own soy milk and uses it for their ramen, desserts and the okara for croquettes. We had the soy milk ramen with croquettes as well as a chocolate cake. Everything was delicious. The noodles are gluten free but they were cooked Al dente and were delicious. The ramen came with toppings of gyoza, vegetables, sprouts and some sort of savory vegetable that was crunchy and tasted like it was marinated in soy sauce. Highly recommend this place! There is also a dessert vending machine outside that sells cakes.

Great Option

Good appetizers. Great ramen. Solid desserts. Cool local vibe. Definitely worth checking out. And they were open on NYE, which was great.

Extremely delicious ramen! I loved the gluten free noodles, they made the ramen more like spaghetti ramen to me, which was a very much welcomed thing on my side. The broth and other ingredients were amazing. Loved it!!!

Best ramen in Kyoto

Amazing ramen spot right off the main road in the popular Gion area of Kyoto. The ramen was super creamy and tasty, it was the best ramen I had during my trip to Japan. The desserts we tried (matcha/sakura crème brûlée, matcha ice cream) were also really good but the ramen absolutely stole the show. A must try in Kyoto.

Tasty ramen

Good presentation isn’t super important to me, but they nail it here. Ramen is good! If you are gluten free don’t miss this spot.

Cons: I personally prefer wheat noodles for ramen

Delicious soy milk ramen

The shop is located under an Airbnb and at the same place as a laundromat, but they have a sign out about the restaurant. There might be some wait at busy times but it wasn't too bad when we went. They also have a vegan cake vending machine in front of the restaurant which serves frozen cakes and desserts, but the staff can warm it up for you if needed.
Once seated you can order with a QR code, they have an English menu and everything is vegan and gluten free. They have a selection of ramen, sweets, gyozas and other bits and bobs. You can order for take out as well and they also have merch, a sweet selection box, chopstick holders etc. You can also add extra toppings to the ramen or ask for half portion or soy noodles.
The food was delicious and the basic ramen was not spicy at all, which was great as my husband doesn't like spicy food. On the table there are various spices with Japanese and English descriptions which can be added to the soup. We also tried some of the sweets which were really nice. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. We will be back tomorrow as we need to use the laundry and we can also have dinner while we wait. 😅

Pros: Lots of vegan sweets, Delicious ramen, Lovely service

Good experience

Bit of a strange location, we found it hard to find initially as it looked like a laundromat (located behind the restaurant). The restaurant is a small, ‘rougher’ version of their second fancy dining restaurant, but the food and service was far superior.
Really quick service, portions were generous and the food delicious.

Pros: Delicious, Good value

Cons: Hard to spot

Delicious spicy ramen

I got the "gekka" dandan spicy noodles and loved it. I loved all the surprising flavors and textures from the nuts, lotus root, goji berries, and soy meat to the dumplings and noodles. I added extra shichimi and the Japanese pepper from their spices on the table for a little more kick. I also ordered the okara and thought they were a tasty take on the potato ones, just wish it came with sauce, but they tasted great dipped in the ramen broth.

Great food, quick service, friendly staff!

After struggling to find some consistent vegan options in Hakone and Nagoya we were so happy to dine here our first night in Kyoto. We went big! Shumai, Gyoza, ramen, matcha ice cream, and a delicious iced cocktail! We loved it- great flavors and even though there was a short wait, the staff was quick to seat us and were very friendly.

Good not great

I liked the ramen but I’ve also had better for a smaller price. I tried two of their cookies too: chocolate and strawberry, and they were tasty!

Great experience

The food was so good that I went two days in a row. There is usually a queue to enter but I didnt have to wait more than 20min.
The menu has a good variety of ramen and some side dishes. The food was very tasty and the staff is very friendly.
The only thing is that is a bit more pricey than vegan ramen in other restaurants.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good food, Location

Cons: A bit pricey

Friendly staff, yummy gyoza

I tried the hana ramen and the gyoza. The gyoza is some of the best I’ve had in Japan. The ramen as served is a bit bland, but I believe that is intentional—there are several spices available at the tables so you can customize the food to your personal taste.

Pros: Staff friendliness, Able to accommodate a group of five

Cons: A little pricey

Delicious and creamy Ramen

I went there at around 7:30 pm at an Friday and got a seat right away. Got the "Hana" Ramen which is topped with a lot of veggies.
The broth is creamy but not heavy, the noodles are slippery and soft (in a good way) and the whole thing was just really delicious.
It is not the cheapest Ramen you can get, but the quality and the size are really good so I can't complain.
There are a vew spices and sesame seeds on the table free to use.
I also got their Korokke whick was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also very nice addition.
The staff were also really nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very positive and relaxed.
All in all it was a very good meal and am definitely going to go there again!

Went again and got the September special cold ramen and was disappointed! There was not much broth, a lot of ice cubes (to keep everything cool but the amount of broth was just way too little), a lot of tomato but only like 5 small pieces of avocado and a bit of pineapple. The fried tofu is not seasoned and looks familiarly like cheep supermarket ones. The broth didn't taste as good as it did before and the portion was all in all smaller than the cheaper 'Hana'.
Very sad to have spend a bit more that 2300¥ on that!

The dessert box called Kyoto Shojin Petit Four containes 15 miniature sweets. They are all of different textures and materials and are absolutely delicious and beautiful. It isn't cheap at 4500¥ but definitely worth it!

Ok but...
