We have friends in Linden, who live just five minutes from Burgernah; very lucky for us!
Read moreThis is our favourite vegan spot in Hannover. On our most recent visit to Linden, we had the Burgermeister meal deal twice - a delicious seitan burger with grilled cheese, a side of the tastiest potato wedges, soft drink and dip for around 9 Euros (pay an extra 50 cents to swap the soft drink for a beer).
The people working here are really friendly, the interior is welcoming and, when the weather is good, they have outdoor seating too.
If you’re ever in Hannover, I recommend a visit!

Read moreIf you go here expecting a burger that tastes like it came from an animal you will be disappointed, but if you go here expecting an amazing burger-like ("burgernah" is German for "close to burgers") sandwich, you will be VERY HAPPY!
The burgers are all AMAZING and the potato wedges are just THE BEST!
The soy nuggets are pretty good, but they are very large, they could be better with more surface area (and thus crunchy coating) and less chewy center. The texture is really good though!
The cocktails are delicious, too, at least the non-alcoholic ones, I haven't tried the "hard" ones.
The staff is very friendly, but they are often a bit under-staffed, and it is very small restaurant, I doubt they can seat even 20 people.

This shop sells great handmade vegan burgers. There are nice patty-options like Tofu, Seitan and others. Everything is fresh and tastes great. The prices are ok.

They offer vegan burgers with different patties (based on saitan, tofu, beans, spinach/oats or soy). I recommend "Die kleine Nixe", because it's something you do not get everywhere. "Burgermeister" is also good, but the saitan patty was way too big for me. You can get the patties also with salad or order a burger menu with potato wedges and one of many dips. Those wedges and dips are really good. Further they have nuggets and desert, but so far I didn't try, because the burger menu was already filling. Last time we went there it was very crowded and therefore took a while until we got the burgers. But the staff was very friendly and the food super tasty and homemade. That's really worth to wait for.

This restaurant serves "junk food" style food with the kinds of flavours that would probably please meat eaters as well. Prices are super cheap and the service is great. The sour cream dip is unbelievably good.

Really great burger restaurant. Started with some nice drinks while we tried to select burgers and compliments from their extensive menu. They had a lot of different patties, lots of different dips and some kind of tasty "chicken" nuggets and potato wedges. Everything was excellent, I would definitely go there again.

Wir waren zu siebt bei Burgernah (für so viele ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert weil der Laden nicht so groß ist) und waren begeistert von den Burgern, den Chili Cheese Nuggets, den vielen Dips und den leckeren Cocktails. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wenn wir nochmal in Hannover sind kommen wir gerne wieder. Atmosphäre und Auswahl war sehr gut. Nur die Tür hat nicht von alleine geschlossen und es war kalt draußen. ;)

Burgers were good just the buns were a bit sweet and felt a bit stale.. kind of American style I guess. Staff were lovely and nuggets were good too. Our non vegan friend enjoyed it as well. Would go back again.

Read moreEverything I've ever had was absolutely delicious. The bean-chili burger is probably my favourite. I also like the idea of being able to order the burger patties on a salad - perfect for summer when you feel like a burger but aren't too hungry.
Their potato wedges and all the homemade dips are amazing too - their aiolis are to die for-so nice and garlicky.
The staff is friendly and you can tell that they are very passionate about what they do.
The music is the icing on the cake (btw did I mention they often have cheesecake?). What's not to love about a 100% vegan place that plays The Smiths?

Burgernah, which was recently opened, is a great addition to the culinary environment in Hannover-Linden, which is already a quite alternative district with some options for vegans and vegetarians.
Read moreThe proprietors offer consequently vegan dishes and make most of the ingredients (even the buns) themselves. I have tried some of their burgers and so far liked every one. My favourite is the "Burgermeister" which has a very tasty and chewy Seitan patty.
They also make a varying range of very nice sauces and dips.
I would say that the atmosphere is very friendly and definitely not grubby or clinical. During the warm months, it is anyway highly advisable to sit outside.
The only downside is that it sometimes takes a bit of time until you receive your dishes, which likely means that the kitchen is paying a lot of attention to every order - so not a bad thing.
Definitely try out this little place!!! It is situated very close to "Natures Food", Hannovers first (and so far only) all-vegan supermarket.

All vegan restaurant, with a wide selection of burgers and some sides. Buns, sauces and cheese are homemade I believe. The food was absolutely amazing, very reasonably priced for a restaurant, very short wait and one burger alone was very filling.
Read moreThe atmosphere was a bit weird though. The waitress was sitting right behind us at the counter drinking beer and playing with her phone. There was no music and it felt like she was eavesdropping. Then after she brought us our food she sat down at the table next to us and started chopping produce. Would still go back though.
