So much more than words can transmit - Edit
One of the ultimate stand out vegan places I’ve ever been to in my life. The three of us had their famous £22 Sunday Roast extravaganza each selecting a different meat (roast chicken, lamb and turkey). You are also provided with a Yorkshire Pudding then it’s self-service vegetables and all the usual trimmings such as sauces, stuffing and lashings of gravy. I had a bit of everything, piled my plate high then proceeded to devour the whole feast with a pint of their delicious Posh Lager overlooking Petticoat Lane Market. Not a bad way to spend an early Sunday afternoon before hitting The Oval for some T20 cricket action.

The best vegan foid - Edit
The menu here is incredible. Some of the best vegan food I've had. Very hard to choose. We had oyster mushroom skewers, classic doner, hot dog, chunky chips, slaw followed by the chai creme brulee. All the food was flavoursome and delicious. Staff were great. I can't wait to go back, especially for the Sunday carvery.

Great dinner! - Edit
Great little restaurant! All vegan menu. My wife got the doner bowl, and I had the Wellington. The Wellington was out of this world! I have had 3 vegan steak-type substitutes in the last year that were awesome. One was at the Botanist in Zadar, the other was in a crazy expensive place in Zurich, and the third one was tonight! We shared a chocolate cake for dessert, and they brought us a milkshake for "forgetting about us," but service was very good, so I'm confused?!
Read moreAn improvement to the Wellington would be to include a piece of bread. The merlot was a little bit vinegar-flavored. At another restaurant, I would have sent it back.

Not to be missed - Edit
Update April 2026: Visited the new restaurant, which is also kept in a stylish, upmarket diner style. The raspberry cheesecake milkshake was amazing. We also had the Tofish and chips which comes with mushy peas and a kebab bowl, which has plenty of fresh salad and veg.
Read moreFinally managed to come here and because it was a workday afternoon, the diner was not packed as on all the other occassions I tried to nip in for a quick lunch or snack previously.
We had the loaded nachos, a burger and the caesar salad. All very good, although despite opting for the salad, I did not have any room left for the cheese cake. So, beware of the size of the salad.

Sadly didn't live up to expectations - Edit
Seeing other people's reviews, perhaps we caught them on a bad day?
Read morePros:
The menu had some different options, and the decor was nice.
Cons:
Service wasn't great, chap serving us drinks put them down quite harshly and glared at us? Saw waiters on their phone several times despite us trying to get their attention. One of them was very nice and friendly. It just felt a bit disconnected and like they didn't really care about you having a good time. As someone who has worked in hospitality myself I get it's difficult to stay on it all the time but it felt really quite poor.
My partner had the blue cheese burger; the burger was lukewarm, and actually chopping up the tomatoes and lettuce rather than just sticking them in wouldn't go amiss. For £14 we expected more, especially given it was that price for just a burger with no chips.
My kebab was ok - but I was given the gluten free option without warning and I'm not gluten free.
The meal overall came to £80-85 and for the amount being spent we both expected a bit more effort on their part, but sadly it felt like it was doing the bare minimum they could get away with.
Sorry this sounds so harsh, I hate to hate on an all vegan business! But being honest, we were disappointed and would not go back again. Again, hopefully they just had a bad night!
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Service not a high standard, Food lukewarm, Overpriced for the service we received

Best Vegan Fish and Chips - Edit
I’ve been vegan a long time, but from what I can remember this Tofish and Chips with tartar sauce tastes incredibly authentic and 100% cruelty free. Best meal I had in London!

Tofish & Chips - Edit
I’ve been super excited to try this place! First we tried the vegan calamari which was great. A little saltier than expected but I did enjoy it. I tried the Oreo chocolate shake and that was a 10/10. I’ve been wanting to try vegan fish and chips as I heard this place was good for it. I felt like the dish was good but not as accurate for the taste of traditional fish and chips. But the dish itself was really good and I enjoyed the use of seitan. Maybe a little in the greasy side. Service was nice! Definitely would go again!

Sunday Carvery - Edit
We were a little disappointed because the food was very expensive and they had run out of potatoes and carrots by the time we got to the restaurant at 7 pm. We were also automatically charged a 12% service fee, which made the already very expensive food even more expensive and we paid 60£ for two plates and two drinks.
Read moreSo even though I think the food is worth trying, I don't think it's worth the price.

Overpriced for what it is - Edit
Unfortunately it’s not worth the hype after they reopened the restaurant again.
Read moreUpdated from previous review: last time we went, there were 3D printed steaks which were mind blowing. They have since removed them from the menu and added a 3D printed Salmon which I have tried. The taste is fishy but the texture was like chicken. It’s also quite a small main in comparison to what they had before for mains. I was told the burger is very good still, and the Sunday roast on Sunday is very nice. People who tried other things also told me they were okay, nothing special. so I think it’s worth going if you’d like to try those but some dishes are expensive and somewhat disappointing. I paid £43 for a main, a drink and a dessert and felt like it was too much for what I had.

Among the best vegan dinners in London - Edit
Unity Diner has the best food of anywhere I’ve visited in London at this price. Particularly loved the tofish and chips, and the Sunday roast was a standout with a buffet of four different vegan meats on offer. That night they even gave us a takeaway box so we had a great lunch for the next day and the food didn’t go to waste.
Read moreIt’s also a non-profit notably co-founded by Ed Winters with 50% of profits going directly towards Surge Sanctuary in Nottinghamshire. Nice to know the great food is supporting a great cause.

Nice place for ‘heavy’ vegan food - Edit
I’m happy I managed to visit this diner twice, but unfortunately they didn’t have the ‘steak’ Wellington and the ‘salmon’ when I was there. However, I did enjoy my meals. The portions were large and the food was rather heavy due to the abundant use of oils.
Read moreThe staff is nice and you get tap water for free. They automatically add 12,5% gratuity and a £0,50 donation for their sanctuary.
