Amazing vegan ramen - Edit
Great service, super easy and fast, and the ramens were absolutely delicious! Broth was creamy and rich, with just enough toppings and variety. Totally recommend, definitely will be coming here more often!

The noodles were devoured - Edit
Loved the special noodles we had. The peanuts gave the soup a delicious flavour. Didn’t care much for the steamed gyoza’s they lacked taste. The blood orange drink was also delicious. Find this location by platform 7/8 after the barriers.

Warming Ramen Bowls & More - Edit
Super yummy ramen bowls. But my partner didn’t enjoy! We both had the golden sesame tantan ramen - Its a bit of a thai-inspired taste, with lots of coriander and peanut notes. Perhaps the other bowls taste different, but it’s worthwhile noting that the flavor may not be for everyone.
Read moreThere are lots of seats inside and we didn’t have to wait too long in line on a Sunday eve - maybe 20-30 mins max). Lovely atmosphere & vibes.
Through ticket gates by keikyo line, very end of the food street on the right, past the Uniqlo and Starbucks.
Pros: Portion sizes, Peanut and sesame taste, Environment & atmosphere
Cons: Flavour might not be for everyone

The sesame tantan was sesame licious.

The lime drink was good, but the blood orange was the clear winner and genuinely tasty.

It was delicious, the whole menu was vegan, and it was cheap (like 1500 yen ( < €10)) so I have absolutely zero complaints!

Hardest to find vegan place in all of Japan - Edit
Wish somebody would have told me you have to go look for it after the JR gates. Wandered around for over an hour in the Ikebukuro station. Look for the elevators to platform 7/8 and you'll find it there.

Long Story - Edit
It was really hard to find at first! We kept walking in circles and even ended up at the wrong gate, so we had to ask for help at the information desk. Luckily, the tips on HappyCow were super helpful for getting us there. Once you finally know where the restaurant is, you’ll never forget it – it really sticks in your mind!
Read moreOrdering was easy: you place and pay for your order at the ticket machine before sitting down. We went after 2 PM and the place was almost empty, which was great, because the one at the main station is ALWAYS packed.
The restaurant itself is quite small, but the food came out quickly and tasted really good.
Pros: Fast and easy service , Delicious
Cons: Hard to find , Can be very crowed

Best vegan tan tan ramen! - Edit
When I first became vegan this was one of the first place I visited! I love how tasty are their ramen, soy meat and noodles.
Read moreAll menu’ is vegan and you need to choose your food by a machine, if you can’t speak Japanese it may be a little confusing, but usually the staff is always kind and helpful. The place is not very spacious and it’s a little bit difficult to find since it’s inside the station (you need to pay 150 yen to enter)
Not so expensive.
So grateful for all these vegan places in Japan, wish lot of success and I hope they will never close. Still didn’t try their Ueno and Tokyo shop.
The one in jiyugaoka is more spacious and have different options.
Pros: All vegan , Very yummy ramen , Not so expensive
Cons: Little bit difficult to find

A bit disappointing - Edit
My three-star review relates partly to this specific branch. Maybe in a different branch I might have given it three star, maybe even four if I had a better experience with a different dish.
Read moreFirstly, this one is very difficult to find. That's not really their fault – Ikebukuro station is very busy and difficult to navigate. We actually tried to go there twice. The first time we stumbled on an onigiri place with vegan options so we ate there instead and the second time a Japanese guy helped us find it (though I think he regretted volunteering to help us because it took so long). It's actually passed the barriers, so you need to pay a ¥150 entrance fee before you've even seen the place. It's not that much, but there's probably better places you could eat too.
It was a bit confusing to know where and how to order. It turns out you have to do it on a machine, which they were having problems with, so that's probably partly why it was confusing.
The fact that's it's all vegan is a plus, of course, as you don't need to worry about which items you can or can't order on the menu. But honestly I wouldn't spend much time looking at the pictures. I picked the seasonal special item, which looked really pretty on the promo picture, which was bursting with bright spring green and sakura pink colours. I knew it wasn't going to look exactly like that, but I was pretty disappointed when I saw it nonetheless. In terms of taste it was fine, but nothing to blow you away.

Just ok, overrated - Edit
Staff was nice and welcoming. You order through a machine and they call out your number. T's Tantan is hyped everywhere as they were one of the first, if not the actual first vegan ramen chain in Tokyo. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I think the brough in the ramen I chose was lacking flavor, it was nothing special. Noodles were not that great either. My partner chose a different ramen and did not like it either. There are other ramen places you should try instead in my opinion.

Excellent vegan ramen - Edit
Located within the station - beyond the barriers, which is a slight drawback, given you'll need a ticket/IC card to access it - this restaurant is small and so gets filled up quickly. Regardless of these complications, this (and no doubt by extension the other restaurants in this chain) are some of the best ramen I've ever had, not just in Tokyo. Creamy, flavourful and generous portion sizes, the only other thing to be mindful for is that late in the day they will have likely sold out of most of their offerings!

Worth the search - Edit
Impossible to find, but worth the search. I loved this place and could come here everyday. Flavor, price, colors, friendliness of the staff: everything is good.
Read moreI also bought their instant noodles, these were also very good and will come with me on my flight with China Eastern (where the choice is meat or more meat).
Ikebukuro is a crazy station. I wouldn’t be able to tell you now how to get to this place. All I know is that Google Maps at one point told me: you’ve arrived, but I didn’t see it. Had I looked to my left, I would have seen the (fog stained) windows of the back of the restaurant. So: try and follow Maps, and know that it’s within the gates of the JR lines (you of course need a pasmo/suica to get in, but it won’t be charged). Once you know, you… no you’ll just get lost again.
Update: apparently you do get charged for entering JR? At least, I read so in another review, but I checked the balance on my card and it didn’t change as I entered and exited the gates without taking the train…
