The most delicious tofu katsu sandwich! - Edit
This sandwich was actually life changing. The sauces and slaw are just perfect, the tofu is thick and fried to perfection, and the side salad is generous and super tasty too. Cannot recommend enough!

Really good bar food - Edit
The menu has clear vegan options and suggestions for how to make non-vegan items vegan (ie, sub a panko crusted tofu cutlet for chicken). The staff also knows the menu and alternatives and ingredients for all items. The fried brussels sprouts were outstanding. And don’t sleep on the mixed drinks!

Fav place in GJ - Edit
I come here every time I visit and it's always great. Many vegan options on the menu. Rotating beer selection and cocktails too! Also n/a options. This time I tried brussel sprouts (kinda spicy) and the Cuban sandwich made vegan.

A literal life-altering meal - Edit
Was looking at my reviews and was shocked that I hadn’t reviewed Trail Life yet!
Read moreI’ve been here dozens of times and their seasonal and permanent vegan staples are literally life-altering.
Somewhere in these reviews, you will find someone say the Vegan Tofu Katsu Sandwich is the reason they and their partner moved to Grand Junction. I am the other half of that relationship, and am here to say, that is not an exaggeration.
To be clear - the vegan food here is so good that at least two people upended their lives and moved to be closer to Trail Life’s food and vibes. Yup, it’s that good.

Impressive! - Edit
We were incredibly impressed with Trail Life Brewing's vast vegan menu. They're not just putting a simple burger on their menu for us, they're walking the walk! My husband and I had their falafel wrap, salad, fries, brussel sprouts, and Dead Pet Series beers. All exceeded our expectations! The vibe is really great too, they had a musician on the patio singing during our visit and plenty of available tables even though they were super busy. We had our drinks and food within 20 minutes of arriving so the service is very efficient too. This place is a definite must when visiting the area.

A Must Visit! - Edit
Loved everything about Trail Life Brewing. One side of the shop is an outdoor store and the other a micro brewery with a bar style menu. Largely burgers and curries. The vibe is really fun, lots of different brews, cocktails, slushes and sodas and the staff were lovely. Almost everything on the menu is vegan or has a vegan option. The Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts are INSANE!!

At Trail Life Brewing you get a plethora of vegan options. Try the brussle sprouts or something coming with panko breaded tofu. Soo good!

Four of us shared the following:
Read moreVegan Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts,
Vegan Hummus and Kwarma with Falafel, Vegan Katsu Bahn Mi with side salad, and Vegan Falafel Wrap with fries
These are way better than the average bar food. Much of it is stand alone restaurant level great food. The dishes weired best were the Falafel Wrap and Katsu Bahn Mi. The tofu cutlets in the BahnMi were substantial and satisfying with tasty other items in the sandwich. It was my favorite item at this meal, with the falafel being by next favorite. I really liked that the menu is clearly marked which items can be made vegan on request, and when placing the order theircrew is happily accommodating of such requests. I would gladly eat here again the next time we are in the area.
Pros: The food, The easily identifiable vegan options on the menu, The vegan friendly crew

Amazing - Edit
Basically everything on the menu can be made vegan and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the vegan options. Great crispy tofu and delicious falafel. Decent prices for a mountain town. Would highly recommended.

Many Options! - Edit
I love finding breweries and pubs with a lot of vegan options. Trail Life had a ton of options on their menu that could be made vegan. All of their sauces, including the tatziki, are vegan except the ranch. I shared the fry and sauce flight which had some really original and tasty sauces (the smokey tomato was the best!). I also got the cubano which was very good. I would have loved a vegan cheese on it, but that's my only complaint. I also got the Looking Good mocktail which was really pretty and tasty.

Amazing vegan food!!! - Edit
There is a wide variety of vegan and “veganized” menu options, very clearly marked. I had the vegan tofu katsu sandwich and it was to die for! My non-vegan friends agreed! One of them ordered the (vegan) falafel wrap and we all agreed they were the freshest, tastiest falafels we’d ever tried. Go there! The food at this place is amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised and a bit overwhelmed by the vegan options! The menu was somewhat confusing as to what the vegan modifications would consist of, but the staff were knowledgeable and kind. I got the Thai vegan sandwich and fries, which were amazing.
