Veggie & Vegan Options at Good Prices - Edit
As this is a chain establishment, the food standards are the same.
Read moreThey have a good range of options for vegetarians and vegans, and it's really great that they offer a meat alternative for the Sunday Carvery, and no additonal cost (so the same as your standard carvery).
This particular establishment, the chef explained the vegetables are all cooked in vegetable spread so no dairy. Only the mash potatoes contained milk and the cauliflower cheese contains dairy.
The gravy is a vegetarian gravy also.
Waiting staff needs significant improvement. Firstly they couldn't find our booking. Then they did and showed us to our table. Then a different host came and queried why we were sat there and if we had booked. Then moved the sign that was originally on our table to the table behind (it had my name on it).
We ordered through the app and they forgot our drinks.
A member of the waiting team told us we didn't need to wait for our carvery tickets to be printed and to just head straight up, then the chef asked for our tickets. Chef apologised and said "they don't know what they're talking about" referring to the staff...
Its a shame because the food is actually good. Good value for money, good quality for what you're paying for, good options for omni's & herbies. Just would have rated higher if the staff were a bit more capable of delivering a standard service.
The chef is great though, no faults to him!
Will also mention this is the second time eating here for Sunday lunch and the service was pretty much the same both times, so not just caught them on a bad day!
Pros: Vegan Options on the Sunday Carvery, Vegan Options on pub menu , Vegetarian Options on Breakfast
Cons: Service needs improvement , Waiting staff have no clue
